YouzixiaxiaThis hotel in Chongqing's Jiefangbei is so good, I didn't want to leave!
It's super convenient – you can walk to Hongyadong right from the hotel. That really saved me a lot of hassle for transportation.
The overall vibe is luxurious yet understated, and every corner is photo-ready. The decor details really impressed me.
The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the high floor offer an absolutely stunning view 🪟. The whole room is smart-controlled, which is very convenient. The soundproofing is also excellent, so I had a peaceful and sound sleep. There's a bathtub by the window, so you can soak while enjoying the night view of the mountain city. The bedding is super soft and comfortable against the skin 🛁.
The breakfast offers a wide variety of options. You *must* try the local *xiaomian* (noodles) – the flavor is incredibly authentic. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Plus, there's a gym if you want to get a light workout in after eating.
This place is perfect whether you're visiting Chongqing as a tourist or just looking for a short staycation as a local.

The location is fantastic! It's just three levels up from Jiefangbei, and on the ground floor, it's right by the river, next to Daijia Alley, Hongyadong, and Qianfo Mountain Bridge. Within 500 meters on the ground level, you can reach Kuixing Building, and another 500 meters up on the third level gets you to the Cableway North Station and the Eye of the Sky observation deck. Most of the core attractions in Yuzhong are within walking distance.
The service is warm and friendly, and the facilities are well-equipped. They even leave the HDMI input unlocked on the TV, which is a rare and thoughtful touch. This hotel is truly excellent, highly recommended!

Guest UserFirst, let's talk about the positives: the room had a separate trash can for takeout, which helped with odors. The lady at check-out was also pleasant.
Now for the problems, and this is by far the most problematic four-star hotel I've ever stayed in. It's the first time I've written a lengthy review for a supposed four-star hotel. It's inexcusable that they still haven't ironed out these issues after being open for so long... No wonder many Globalists also complain about poor experiences at Atour. If you have platinum/diamond status with other brands, I honestly wouldn't recommend choosing Atour. This stay was a complete miss, and I won't consider any other hotels from this brand in the future. Here are the issues:
1. The Atour Xiao Cheng Xu smart butler wasn't enabled, so I couldn't use it to request items to be delivered to my room. (BTW, Xiao Cheng Xu is hard to use, which is a brand issue).
2. Before checking in, I specifically asked the brand's official customer service if Diamond members could enjoy their benefits (because Atour's member benefits only require personal use). So I came specifically to experience it, but I didn't expect such disdain for the member program and guests. Upon arrival, a younger front desk staff member sternly refused me, with a blank expression, saying there were no fruits or breakfast, and didn't mention supper or afternoon tea. They don't proactively inform you unless you ask. I'm not sure if they're intentionally trained this way or what. Also, the tabletops in the lobby lounge area were very dirty.
3. There was no phone in the room, and the 'Xiaodu' smart speaker was malfunctioning, causing my takeout to be delayed by an hour and a half. Attempts to call the front desk using Xiaodu also failed due to network issues and poor connection. It didn't work even after restarting it. If I hadn't added their enterprise WeChat, I would have had to go down to the front desk at 1:30 AM.
4. The notepad in the room had writing from the previous guest... The next day, housekeeping didn't replenish the towels or body lotion. This is the only four-star hotel where I've encountered this problem. Is their SOP based on budget hotels like Home Inn? Even though the hairdryer wasn't a Dyson, fine, but despite seeing that I regularly use a coffee machine, they only refilled two bottles of water... And the chain lock on the door was completely broken. When I reported it, they said engineering would fix it during cleaning, but it was still broken the next night.
Regarding all these issues, there was no apology whatsoever. Their attitude gave the impression that they just want to rely on their location to do one-off business with most people.

This hotel is located right across from Bayi Square and is also close to the subway. Stepping out, you're on Bayi Road Food Street, where you can find all sorts of local specialty snacks. The staff were very warm and attentive. When we arrived, they immediately offered us refreshing lemon and plum juice from the hotel's self-service, which was incredibly crisp and tasty. Housekeeping was prompt; they even helped us with laundry while we were out exploring. Food delivery riders can bring orders directly to your room. Honestly, if it's not too hot, a short walk will get you to a ton of great food options. You can easily walk to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong from here, and to get to Liziba, you can take Line 2. Across the street from the hotel, you get a great mountain view, and you can even spot the Golden Eagle. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves food and exploring!

Pros: The breathtaking views of Jinyun Mountain and the Jialing River are truly exceptional from this location. The hot spring facilities are also impressive, with a good variety of pools and a cleverly designed, intricate layout.
Cons: The hotel's hardware facilities are quite outdated. For this price point, the hotel could definitely learn from the operational standards of top-tier brands. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is limited, and the toiletries in the room are of poor quality – these are areas with significant room for improvement. Large sections of wooden panels in the public areas are discolored or in disrepair.
Overall: If you're looking for value for money, you might want to reconsider. However, if budget isn't an issue and you prioritize experiencing the beautiful scenery and hot springs, it's definitely worth a visit. Finally, the complimentary travel photoshoot provided by the hotel was a nice touch, and I'd like to commend the photographer, Zixuan, for her excellent service.

Moxy Hotel truly holds a prime spot in the heart of Jiefangbei. From the hotel, it's just a one-minute walk downstairs to the delicious food street, and within a 10-minute stroll, you can reach Hongyadong and the metro station, making sightseeing and dining incredibly convenient. The revolving restaurant on the 29th floor was a delightful surprise during our trip. It slowly rotates over 90 minutes, offering panoramic views of Chongqing's cityscapes by day and a dazzling display of city lights by night. The blend of the historic 'Nine-Level Heaven' charm with its trendy design created an amazing atmosphere. What impressed me even more was the consistently thoughtful and enthusiastic service from all the staff. The front desk team proactively offered welcome drinks, showcasing their attentiveness and warmth in every small detail. This hotel truly made our trip to Mountain City exceptionally comfortable.

The hotel is in a building with a lot of other hotels, so for the location you could also check them out. Our room was clean, except that there were bugs in the shower. Because of the bad design of the shower, not only was water leaking from the sides of the shower screen, the plate on the ground you had to step on was loose and that's where the bugs came from. Except for that everything was in order and we had a very nice view from the hotel lobby on the bridge next to Hongyadong Cave. The staff of the hotel was very nice and helped us reschedule one of our breakfasts without problem. However, when we had checked out, they kept sending messages to give them a good review and wanted to send me a review text and pictures to copy paste as my review. This was obviously unnecessary behaviour that is undoubtedly pushed by the company.

Queenie KorI was very satisfied with my stay this time! After checking into the hotel, I added the front desk staff on WeChat, which made communication very convenient. The front desk staff were very friendly, responsive, and quick to resolve any issues. They were always there to help with whatever I needed. A special thanks to the front desk for helping me sign for and return a Pinduoduo package – that was truly thoughtful!
The hotel's location is also excellent, very close to Jiefangbei and other popular attractions, making getting around super easy. Overall, the stay was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chongqing. Highly recommended!

Guest UserMy stay at Le Méridien Chongqing, Nan’an was excellent. The hotel's overall ambiance is tranquil and elegant, with tasteful soft furnishings that add a touch of quality. The public areas are meticulously maintained and organized. The front desk staff were warm and efficient; Freya, in particular, made the check-in process smooth and even introduced the AI voice guide, which was a thoughtful touch. Room service was prompt, and the attention to detail made me feel very comfortable. The room layout was well-designed with plenty of natural light, and the facilities were well-maintained. The bedding was dry and comfortable, and the toiletries were of good quality. The hotel is centrally located in Nan’an, making transportation convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shopping malls nearby. The heated pool had ample opening hours, perfect for some relaxation. Parking was very convenient for those driving, ensuring a worry-free trip. The service was superb! I highly recommend staying here.
