Parkside Inn Motel

OK it has not good reviews and looks pretty shabby outside. But this place was very pleasant to stay at. $90 for a night and the bed was comfy, very quiet, big spacy room (no 5), very clean, great modern look with appliances, situated in good location. Service on check in was very friendly. Plenty of secure parking. Definitely stay again. Only negative was the water pressure was so slow. That's all
The Mulgrave Motel

I just checked in today and it’s good for the price, the hotel receptionist Sarah was lovely and kept me well informed. I’m staying for 3 days and everything seems to be in shape. I read a review detailing hotel guest with drug problems, it’s a MOTEL you are going to get good and bad and everything in between in any of these places. There’s drug addicts at the five seasons difference is that they can afford it. Lol
YTI Garden Hotel

Melbourne Central Business District
Very budget accommodation. My room was on the 5th floor and had a good comfortable bed. There was an old wardrobe with only 4 coat hangers. I was staying for 7 nights so really coathangers are very cheap so a few more shouldn’t hurt the bottom line. There was a sink, kettle and tea & coffee supplied. There was also a small bar fridge which unfortunately completely froze my orange juice and milk. Asked reception to do something but nothing happened. Bathroom was clean and shower was good. Room was not serviced at all for the full week. Although 2nd top floor quite a lot of noise from establishments in the nearby lane at times, very very late including a few huge arguments. No drawers provided but a few shelves for clothes etc and a small table. Overall quite basic and only suitable if you are only going to sleep and clean up there but offset somewhat by the cheap rate. Probably look for a little better next time.
Nightcap at Monash Hotel

It's a motel, and there's also a restaurant and bar next to the front desk. Don't order breakfast. Breakfast is just juice bread that you can buy in some supermarkets. You might as well eat it yourself. The room is huge.
