Rapid City Homestays

Very comfortable beds and plenty of pillows (I like lots!) The slide, pool, and hot tub were awesome. My 13-year-old particularly liked the slide. Rapid City is located very close to all the wonderful attractions around here. I would definitely stay here again.

I felt well taken care of, and appreciated the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. The rooms and hotel were very clean. It's noisy next to the road - ask for a room on the side opposite of the road. They do have a great gym, but it's tiny, with no weights, so be prepared to be creative!

We use Marriott hotels whenever possible while traveling. The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rapid City is a great place to stop for the night. We had a room with a king bed and two TV’s, a sofa sleeper and desk area. The room had a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker. The bathroom was large and sparkling clean. We always appreciate the rubber bathmats when provided. The pillows in all the Marriott hotels we have stayed in recently desperately need to be replaced. A good breakfast with hot and cold items is provided from 6:30-9 am each morning. Check-in was quick and easy and the people at the desk were very friendly and helpful. There is a large seating area in front of the hotel with a fire pit. The parking lot is large and handicapped spots are right up front. There are lots of restaurants and fast-food places nearby. The water was too soft, and we felt slimy after showering or washing our hands like we couldn’t get the soap off. We did have one major problem. We were on the third floor and the wind that night was howling around the building and as it turned out, we discovered that the window in our room was broken and wouldn’t close properly, so the noise was intensified, and we didn’t get much sleep if any that night. After driving all day and seeing lots of different sites, we had hoped for a good night’s sleep. Ask for a lower floor room.
