Shangri-La Hostels

It is what a good hotel should be like. The room is clean and the bedding is impeccable. The water temperature is suitable and they thoughtfully inform you that bathing in plateau areas should not take more than 10 minutes. The front desk staff are also very nice. The breakfast at Shangri-La is also rich and delicious. The key point is that you can tell from the name that the room can supply oxygen (you need to contact the front desk for oxygen supply service). You can go hiking at night without worry. You don’t have to worry about high reflexes. Anyway, you can breathe oxygen while lying on your own bed, so you have peace of mind😼

Staff were friendly and kind. The reception is very welcoming and courteous! The location is good with it being half way between Songzanlin Monastery and Old Town.I would like to thank Vivian four her help. We did not have a car to take us back to the hotel in Pudacuo National Park, and she immediately asked her colleague to pick us up.

I can only repeat what the other reviews are mentioning: it’s clean, got good amenities, but everything seems a bit old. We had some WiFi issues but when it was working it was good. In general, the service wasn’t that great. We arrived tired after a long drive, no help with parking the car or the luggage. Check in was the most rigorous we had, even checking all the flight and train numbers we took. Also didn’t allow us to take a rest first. We went on a hike and wanted to take some Baozi from the breakfast - forbidden (I found that in China this is usually no problem). However, I think for the price it’s fine and while it doesn’t look like it, it’s quite clean. Also the dinner was quite good, breakfast not so much.

location is great for the town and Nappa Hai Lake which was awesome.A beautiful hotel full of culture. Beds are the comfiest in the world! Carol on reception was superb and help us out of a very stressful situation when the airport was closed because of snow. We were exceptionally grateful for her excellent english skills. Mark the waiter/ noodle chef was also extremely helpful. He spoke no English but was very patient with my Chinese. Many staff were off sick with covid as it was a few days after restrictions were lifted when we visited. Still everyone was working twice as hard to cover their colleagues. This lead to one of our rooms not being cleaned one day. Not the end of the world. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This is my kind of place. I stayed in the 4 bed (2 bunk beds). There are drawers and and shelves to put away your belongings in a nice sturdy bunk bed that doesn't make noise when your move. It is a typical Chinese mattress, however I found it comfortable. It also has a heated mattress pad with 3 settings. The shower is a small room that is all tiled and clean, and it's separated from the men's shower. The toilets are also separated and it's a heated toilet seat. Rulan,the innkeeper, is super friendly and arranged discounted tickets to the Songzanlin Lamasery one day and the Pudacou National park another day. When I became anxious about the bus, Rulan was supportive when I texted her. One night she served a really nice tea to me and the next she brought me heated soy milk. I expecially like that there is a small garden and a outside rooftop deck. Washing machine is available for 15CNY and can be hung on the upper deck which has a nice view!

The location of the halfway house was great. Right in front of the mountains and easily connects to the path on the way down. The service was good, they had an English menu and spoke some English. Very friendly and kind. The room is standard but cozy with a beautiful view. The bed was comfy and clean. The air is so cool and nice that having no AC is not a problem. We slept with the balcony opened and had no issue. I definitely recommend the room to anyone doing the hike. It was breathtaking view that you can’t experience anywhere else.

The interior of the hotel is very clean, and there is a fresh air system. The service attitude is very good and very welcoming. As soon as we get off the bus, someone will help us with our luggage. After checking in, someone will take us to the room. Thank you to the guy who upgraded our room for us. It is very warm. , the room is clean and bright, and can be sent to the airport at any time. Just tell us in advance. This is really great. For those of us traveling, the best thing is to live in a comfortable and clean place. The decoration is also It's very good, with a new Chinese style and a lot of breakfast types. It's delicious and cost-effective. I'll stay here again next time.

We originally planned to go to Yubeng (later canceled due to high altitude sickness) and they helped us find a reliable local driver and provided a lot of information. Thank you very much! Environment: I posted a picture of the starry sky taken with an iPhone on the roof of a B&B, which shocked me for a whole year; it is very convenient to get to Shika and it is also close to Napa Sea.
