Travelodge Aberdeen Bucksburn

Great location with a minute walk to macdonalds. Respectful and friendly staff. Got nothing to complain about. We all had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

Came to visit Aberdeen and stayed with family at this lovely Travelodge Bucksburn. Very convenient place to stop and explore area. Our room was spotlessly clean and good size for family of 4. Choice of restaurants nearby with MacDonalds next door (kids happy!) and Lidl for grocery. Totally recommended and will be back 👍

Staff are friendly. This particular Travelodge is located near a McDonalds and an Aldi but nowhere nice nearby to eat. The guy on reception recommended we head back into town. It did the job as a place to stay but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The good points were: A friendly receptionist, the handle in the wall to help safe exit from shower, useful having Liddle next door and (if you like it) MacDonald's too. The bad points were: Parking not free, only one chair for a double room?!

Had to stay at this hotel as my company booked me a room there. I was nicely suprised form the beginning til the end as my bed was super comfy, bathroom with hot shower and fluffy towels which I loved! Friendly and helpful team members. Easy access to P&J Live, the airport and city centre as well.

The Travelodge at Bucksburn is very convenient for accessing Aberdeen city and is a clean and welcoming place. The reception staff have been friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My only criticism is that in a bedroom clearly designed to accommodate two people and has the amenities of a tv that only one chair is provided. I did ask but was told they have no spare chairs which I suppose means each room has one and all rooms are occupied or that we were not given our proper allocation of two chairs. For the cost of a small plastic chair it seemed to us to be ‘spoiling the ship for a ha’penny worth of tar’. Over to you the management of Travelodge!

Room, bathroom was clean, comfortable and spacious. Comfortable bed, lovely to have both bath and shower. Only downside was seems to be used by lots of contractors, some of whom seemed to be having a party in their room right opposite ours. They caused no issue but it was a little concerning for us as two females to be opposite a group of males getting drunk, particularly as we are smokers so had go out and past them a few times. Overall, it was a decent Travelodge and I would stay again, it was just a little anxiety-inducing at first, not knowing what might kick off if the group got too drunk!

Unfortunately we hadn’t realised that the restaurant nearby had closed so it was McDonalds or Lidl. It was an accessible room we reserved with a lower bath. A wet room would be much better for a wheelchair user. The lady on reception did check to see if there had been a cancellation but no. The beds were comfortable and fluffy towels. Tea/coffee making facilities provided.
