Aix-en-Provence Hotels with Airport pickup service

We have spent one night in this hotel a few kilometers from the center of Aix en Provence. The check in was quick and smooth and our room spacious and fairly clean. It was a pleasure to enjoy the swimming pool on a hot day like the one we had. It was a good stay and very good value for money considering the high prices in high season.

Very comfortable hotel, everything worked ok in the room, tv, kettle, fridge, shower with good hot water. Everything was very clean and convenient. It also had a kitchenette with pans, pots, cutlery and crockery. Hotel is located right at the heart of the Village, walking distance to everything!. Special thanks to the reception staff that were super nice and Friendly. I stayed in Room 207, where there was zero noise from the street. Thanks!.🙂

This business needs a huge overhaul. It is unacceptable to rob guests with such terrible accommodation. I had booked 10 days in this place. Upon my arrival after a long trip with my heavy backpack, the receptionist ignored me as I waited for her to greet me. What a greeting! 'You will need to bring your rubbish in the bin before you leave; you will be given fresh linen in four days; you need to sign in to the internet every time you use it; you will need to do the dishes before you leave' etc...No welcome words, only orders. I felt I was signing in to jail! I have been in hostels in the past, am well travelled and I manage my expectations, but this was far worse than any hostel, airbnb, hotel, or residence I have ever been to. Upon entering my studio - I would not call it an apartment, I found the shower head dirty, the wastebasket dirty, the walls bare of any decor except for a cheap frame. There was only ONE plastic hanger in the closet, with all the others broken. In the kitchen, there was a 2oz bottle of washing detergent and not much at all, not even a coffee maker, just a kettle. There was only one roll of toilet paper for my 10 day stay. No one was ever at the reception except early in the mornings. You could not reach anyone in the afternoon or evening. When I ran out of toilet paper, I asked on my way out to have a few rolls dropped in my room. Upon my return that night, nothing. Luckily I met some guests who were sitting outside (equally unhappy with the residence), who saved me and were most kind, bringing me a roll. When the next morning I asked for toilet paper again, after having left a note at the unstaffed reception desk, I was finally given some. But fresh towels after 4 days? The response was ”well, I don't know, I have to ask my colleague...” I could not believe the staff's attitude. I was happily able to find a place 8 days later and could not leave soon enough. (Unfortunately, in high season and at the last minute, accommodations are nearly impossible to find in Aix.)

L’établissement est facile à trouver, et on peut s’y garer facilement grâce au parking qu’il faut réserver bien à l’avance car il n’y a pas beaucoup de place. Le parking est un peu cher 15 € la nuit. Dix euros aurait suffit. On peut éventuellement trouver des places à l’extérieur mais ce n’est pas très facile. L’établissement est neuf, climatisé, insonorisé, avec un petit espace cuisine et une literie très confortable. Il y a quand même quelques manque : pas de ménage, pas de lit fait chaque jour, pas de changement de serviette. Au prix où on paye, ce n’est pas normal. Une formule de petit déjeuner express, boisson chaude et chocolatine ou croissant. Pour 5,50 €, une formule plus sophistiqué avec un jus d’orange et sinon un buffet à 16 € à la française. Un très bel espace d’accueil et de restauration. Mais le vrai plus de cet établissement, ce qui fait la différence par rapport aux autres hébergements c’est le personnel. J’ai été accueilli par Marie-lou, qui a prêté beaucoup d’attention à mes demandes, qui s’en est très bien occupé et qui est une vraie professionnelle. Elle m’a donné plein de conseils utiles. Ces deux collègues, Jonathan et Nathan sont tout à fait adorables et serviables, disponible et très à l’écoute. Quant à Abdou pour la nuit, il est disponible et a toujours un bon mot le soir quand vous rentrez. Ce sera ma nouvelle résidence secondaire quand je reviendrai à Aix-en-Provence. Les horaires d'arrivée et de départ sur le site ne correspondaient pas à la réalité... J'ai été obligé d'attendre 3 quarts d'heure 😱😰 J'ai payé la taxe de séjour... alors que sur le site, il est indiqué taxes incluses 😰😱 Sinon, cette location est d'un bon rapport qualité/ prix... 😁🤪

We recently spent four nights here and i can't rave enough! We made reservations primarily based on reviews we read here and we thought the hotel was even better. We were traveling as a family with our teenage daughter and booked the junior suite which was perfect. A large room by European standards and it was perfect. We had a fold out twin bed and we could move around the room with it open. The location was great - close enough to everything but not overrun by street noise and busy crowds. We walked to dinner every night and one restaurant was better than the next. We spend one day in Aix-en-Provence and did day trips the other days. There was so much to see and visit in the area but more about the hotel. The front desk staff were so nice and so helpful. Mostly younger but so attentive and helpful making reservations for us, changing tickets to a site we booked when our daughter wasn't feeling well and offering great suggestions. The breakfast was also a big hit. I would recommend getting it included. There is a beautiful outdoor garden to eat in. Plentiful food and great variety from bacon and eggs to a continental breakfast of pastries and fruit. Lastly, we booked the parking spot which was a big plus. It was a short walk from the lobby and it was great to not have to worry when we returned from our adventures about where to park. Can't recommend enough. We look forward to returning.

The Golden Tulip chain of hotels renovated this venue a couple of months ago, and created a very efficient, modern and comfortable hotel, very suitable for business and en-route stays. It's located next to the autoroute from Aix-en-Provence to Lyon. Downtown Aix is about a 10 mins. drive. The beds (as in all Golden Tulip hotels) are amongst the most comfortable we've ever slept in! Bathroom modern and efficient. The staff consist of mostly young, enthusiastic people with a modern attitude to service. Definitely a hotel that differs itself positively from the standard en-route French hotel-style! The restaurant should be upgraded somewhat. The menu is limited and as downtown is a bit out, guests should be able to have a bit more choice in the menu.
