Wow! Where do I even begin? Firstly, this place needs more than 5 stars, easily 10 stars minimum. Apologies for the long review, but it's hard not to say so much So lets begin... From the moment I stepped out of my transfer and layed eyes on this beautiful and absolutely stunning hotel, I knew I chose the perfect place to stay during my little solo relaxing getaway. I then walked into the main lobby of the hotel and again WOW! Stunned by the beauty of the reception area, but then I was graciously welcomed as I arrived, which made me even more so happy of choice of stay. The beautiful lady at reception was just so warm and welcoming, making me instantly feel at home. Once she checked me in, I was offered leaflets that were very helpful in activities whilst I'm here and other necessary information. I then proceeded to my room and continued to be stunned from the beauty of the rest of the hotel. It is a 4 star hotel but my personal opinion should easily be a 5 star with the amount of care and how much they do for you the definitely what feels like they go the ends of the earth and back to make you feel welcomed and just important ☺️. After that the lounge area for sunbathing, the swimming pool, the restaurant/ bar stunning, then they have a relaxation sections where you can do and relax with a book or something, they also have a meeting area if your a business on stay. Then you have the spa area from all massage rooms to steam and sweat rooms, then a small but great little gym to work out in. The rooms WOW! So as I came in, I switched on the TV, and there was a greeting screen saying, ”Welcome in Portuguese and with my name. Again, stunning, absolutely amazing, comfy, and spacious for just me. I have been sleeping in a king-size bed with fluffy and melt in your head pillows, and I have never felt relaxation like this before. Now food breakfast, let's start there incredible a all you can eat ranging from all types of cereals, oats, granola and museil to mixed nuts, then you have a section for continental food such as pastries, pancakes, mini donuts to chocolate covered ones (each day different), then you have hot food proper crispy bacon, Sausages, 3 types of different eggs, beans, cheese topped tomatoes, beans etc you get the idea. Then, the machine has freshly squeezed jucies to a lovely coffee machine and other hot beverages. Then we have the evening meals and wow again incredible and so tasty 3 course meals every night whilst waiting for your meal you are given a small taste bread board. The presentation for everything is amazing and eye worthy. What I truly like is that it's open to the public. Also, whether you're a guest or not, you can enjoy a spectacular breakfast, lunch menu, and evening meal. And to finally top it all off with my stay here I came to Portugal to not only relax and sightsee but to celebrate my birthday and not only did the staff wish me a happy birthday which I thought was so lovely of them but they also then when I c

The hotel is well located from the center to the hotel you can take bus line 02 it takes just 5 minutes walking to the center it is 20 minutes walk. The receptionists are very attentive, I arrived early and allowed me to leave my backpack to enjoy the day at check out too. Clean and organized room and bathrooms Simple breakfast but for the price it's worth it. We are glad that we booked this hotel. The beach view was breathtaking and remarkable. Not to mention its excellent location where the old town cobbled street is just right in front of the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast where they offered great selections and indeed one of the best breakfasts we've tried in our Portugal trip. Hotel staff were mostly friendly, especially those in the restaurant, except for the housekeeping staff who refused to give us extra drinking water on the next morning even before we checked out.

This place has polarizing reviews.. After going there, I understand why. The facilities and services are good. You can use the swimming pool, washer and dryer (performance is poor), sauna and spa for free, and although the building structure is unique (1st and 8th floor reception, 2 elevator transfers, etc.), it's okay if you get used to it. We couldn't find the way by taxi, so we climbed the hill with our suitcases, but the reception on the first floor is near the spar mart. They were friendly, but the air conditioner was broken so I called twice and they didn't come so I just gave up. This place is in the middle of the old town, so I actually made a reservation based on the location, but it's literally in the middle of the club street, so even if you're inside the accommodation, you'll be staying at the concert hall all night long. There's no soundproofing, so you have to enjoy it together until 5 a.m. The noise is another level, as foreign reviews say. I’m traveling around the world, but this place is really ambiguous haha. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s just ambiguous… . Personally, I think it would be less noisy and better if it wasn't just in this alley because it's Albupay!!

Lovely stay in Paladim & Alagoa Mar. We had booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 people although basic, it was clean and spacious, equipped with kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge and 2 small hobs. We arrived at 11am and although check in wasn’t until 3pm, luggage storage/shower/changing facilities were available. Pool area was ok, however could do with an update as there were multiple tiles missing. When we were there you needed to be down before 8am to reserve a sunbed if you would like ones together, think the hotel should open the pool later to prevent this happening. Location is perfect, 10-15 mins walk from both the old town and new town. My family and I preferred the old town as the new town bar ***** was a bit too hectic for us🤣 I suggest downloading the uber or bolt app as taxis are cheap and readily available on these apps. Overall we enjoyed our time in albufeira and would stay in Paladim & Alagoa again and would recommend it if you are looking for somewhere basic, clean and convenient.

I lived on the 1st floor, everything was old, the room was dark, it was convenient that it had its own exit to the street, like a courtyard, and right to the pool. The pool was a bit old. Very cool friendly staff, they helped with all questions. A little far from the center, but if you have a car, everything is great. There is parking! Quiet area, beautiful beach within walking distance.

All very well, the best thing is the location where it is located, it is located in the best place in Albufeira in the whole center around nightclubs, bars, a luxury, the area after breakfast very well, chocolate cakes, fruit, squeezed juice, bacon, the super mattress comfortable has air conditioning the room flat screen and balcony with views of all the mello of the party with soundproof glass a luxury I will return 😃😃

Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in The staff were actually embarrassed to work there Vile rooms disgusting dirty smelly and should be shut down I feel sorry if any one goes just glad we didn't have kids with us Shut this place now

We book this through a travel website and not not checked the review, big mistake. Airconditioning in room has not worked in years, after 3 nights we were given a portable air conditioning unit, which on account of noise had to turn off at night. No food on offer except breakfast. Breakfast was ok 5 out of 7 days. Other days cold. Scrambled eggs could not be eaten as too hard. Selection was small. No choclate spread for children pancakes, and one morning pancakes were hard. We had not hot water for 3 days, on second day we were offered the use of a shower in another room. Not ideal. Picture that are up on the website must be of 10 years ago at least. Place is really run down now. No fire doors are kept closed. On a good note pools seem good, area around them could do with a clean. Also close to beach. Not a great hotel overall for family with young kids. Overall 2 star experience
