I called fthe Alex Hotel requesting a shuttle to the hotel as soon as I landed, and was told ithat it was on its way and would be there shortly. After 45 minutes of countless unanswered calls to the hotel, the receptionist answering the phone told me that the driver never got the message and he was on his way.
He arrived 30 minutes later, offering no apology or reason for the delay.
When I arrived at the hotel, I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes, while the receptionist was on the phone, chatting it up with someone, before she acknowledged my presence and checked me in.
The room was fine but no working thermostat to regulate the temperature.
The continental breakfast was satisfying and the morning shuttle bus driver was present, available and ready to take me the airport at my request.
