The bed was horrible. You can feel the springs press into your back. If this place had a bed I’d be more inclined to review it positively. Breakfast was ok. Location is great as your are right there in Baku. But the bed….wouldn’t recommend it

Fantastic location but ugly conditions. No water to take a shower, leaky towels, no toilet paper, no elevator, sometimes unpleasant smell in a bathroom. Several times I couldn't clean teeth and went in a city as it is. So every night I argued with receptionist about water problems being in foam when water suddenly dissapeared... Not recommended!!!

Utterly disappointed with the place and wouldnt recommend anyone. Rooms are not at all the way shown in the pictures and also it was very dirty and disgusting. A/C control is central for one floor and they others kept turning it off all the time and 3rd day of stay no a/c at all as someone had broken the control.

Локация - 5. В 3-х минутах от Центра. Персонал - 4 Все вежливые, приветливые, но просьбы выполнялись не сразу, приходилось напоминать. Отель внутри - 2. Заселили в 2х местный стандартный номер с двумя отдельными кроватями на 2м этаже. Ужас! Потолок в подтеках, обои висят, в санузле плесень, унитаз вымыт только сверху. Сиденье на унитазе не прикреплено. В комнате темно, окно выходит во внутренний дворик, но на крышу. После просьбы поменять номер, поменяли бесплатно на Deluxe 501 номер на 2м этаже с балконом. В нем конечно было почище, но плесень также присутствовала, белье с дырками и очень пахло канализацией. Балконом не пользовались. Он выходил на улицу с машинами и было очень шумно. К тому же кроме засохших горшков с цветами на нем ничего не было. Рядом в 502 номере Deluxe (очень красивом на фото) телевизор не работал, из 6 лампочек в люстре горели только 2. Холодильника нет. Кондиционер работал очень плохо. Утюг можно взять на ресепшен, но гладильной доски нет. Завтраки очень слабые и одно и то же. Мы были 8 ночей, завтракали в отеле только 3 раза. На второй день проживания хотели перейти в другой отель. Только благодаря Рашиду, который сглаживал все возникшие проблемы, мы остались. Спасибо ему огромное! Отель недороИз плюсов - вполне приличный интернет.

Very nice hotel actually very close to nizami to boulivard highland park old city and most of the landmarks all are in walking distance. The staff here are very accomodating and helpful specailly Aikhan and rasheed at reception. They also allowed me to keep my luggage after the check out as i was having late flight. I stayed in deluxe room which was very spacious and old style decoration which makes it having the same taste of the old baku. Reasonable price comparing with the location. Recommended

Amazing location 3mins walk to the lively Nizami street and Old Baku. Everything is almost walking distance to Baku tourist spots, so you save on transportation. We stayed in a lovely spacious Deluxe room for 3nights with balcony. Matress were comfy and room atmosphere was clean and organized. Overall stay was great, thanks Shalimar Team.

Very unprofessional service. We booked through booking .com a few months ago. The hotel has since stopped taking reservations through booking. Com but they didn't bother to cancel our reservation or contact us to book another way. When we arrived, there was no reservation for us, and they weren't the slightest bit bothered that they hadn't contacted us, they just wanted moreoney to stay there. Being left stranded in a new city with no hotel at 5pm is horrible, and these people really left me with a bad first impression of Baku.

A very very basic hotel, only 2star for location and staff, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 5 nights. Only the location of the hotel is very good if u want to stay in Nizami street. Every sightseeing is near to this location. Mattress were dirty, when they come to clean the bed the bed sheet is not tidy up properly, sometimes the towel were torn, we were, 3 but they gave only 2 towels and 1one floor towel, at least there should be 2hand towel 2big towels, no hair dryer in the bathroom. There were no glasses in the room to drink water. Even the electric kettle was dirty from inside. The rugs in the bedroom were so dirty that there were hairs on it, I got it removed. And yes if you are a vegetarian get ready to have bread all the days. They have no knowledge of vegetarian food or breakfast. The staff was very helpful, but I think they need proper training and knowledge of cleaning and maintenance and hospitality. I mean we had fun at the city but dissappointed at the hotel.

Location is perfect, hotel is very close to Nizami Street which was so helpful to see beautiful places.staff was so kind and helpful.I really enjoyed my trip in Baku with this hotel.The hotel offers good services. I am very satisfied and recommend to all.
