Park Hyatt Washington DC
Park Hyatt Washington DCPark Hyatt Washington DC
Hotel near West End,Washington D.C.
The Park Hyatt Washington is a 4 Diamond luxury hotel designed for the discriminating traveler who prefers the privacy, personalized service and elegance of a small European style hotel. The hotel is located in the fashionable West End of the Nation's Capital, just three blocks from Georgetown, the city's premier shopping and entertainment center.

ZZIHAO 2019.07.29
Come to DC to live in Park Hyatt for 3 days. The area where you are located should be good. If you take a taxi, you can't go anywhere, but if you take the subway, there is still a distance from the subway station. The doorman is more welcoming. The only drawback is that the three nights of staying in the hotel did not change the toiletries once.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the White House and other attractions. The double bed is very large. The hotel is a renovated old hotel. It is generally stylish and atmospheric. The morning coffee is good! The air conditioner is a little loud.

GGuest User 2022.10.02
My wife and I stayed at the Salamander overnight before our flight out of Dulles to Tanzania. To preface this review, I specifically booked this hotel due to past experience with Mandarin Oriental, so I was disappointed to hear of the exchange but gave it a shot anyway. I was disappointed with check in, with the staff, and with the general atmosphere. The hotel itself was clean, the finishes were decent, and the spa area is very nice...I just don't feel they warrant the price tag when the other variables are lacking. We arrived around 11:30, I had informed months before that the arrival would be around 12. We were told it wasn't guaranteed, but they would put that one in priority to be ready. Upon our arrival, we're told it is just awaiting inspection and it should be no later than 12:30. No problem, we visited The Lounge for lunch. We wrapped up around 12:30 and the weather precluded us from exploring much outside the hotel. Long story short, our room was not ready until 2:40. I acknowledge that check in time is actually 3, but had it been presented that way, we would have gotten a taxi and went elsewhere to kill 3 hours. The staff did not seem very invested in the hotel or interested in us. In my experience, something that sets 5 star hotels apart is the staff willingness to go the extra mile, to make a note to check back in with you, and to always be present. Between the doormen not paying attention, the front desk giving no updates on the room status without prodding, and waiting at the Lounge hostess stand for several minutes before going down to the bar and asking the bartender if we should seat ourselves (he found the hostess), it was just lacking. I don't need someone to hold my door or be worried about us sitting in the chairs by the front desk for 2 hours, but I paid for that experience and did not get it. Lastly, the general atmosphere...it just did not have a 5 star vibe. In 5 stars, folks are walking around, ensuring nothing is out of place and everything is picture perfect. This was not the case, the lobby restroom was in a bit of disarray...no one ensured that folks were there to help. It was just disappointing. All that to say...the place is clean, it is nice, you won't be disappointed there. But I believe I would have gotten better service at the Hilton down the road for half the price. Or we've stayed at the Park Hyatt in DC previously and absolutely adored the staff and facilities.

Next to the subway station, transportation is convenient. But it’s too noisy next to the railway tracks at night, and the waiter service at dinner needs to be improved. I’m impatient even if I ask for a hot water kettle. It’s worth considering.

My wife and I spent this past weekend in Washington, D.C. attending a wedding. The venue was at the Fairmont Georgetown and it was truly exceptional in all regards. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Even though we arrived well before check-in time, they were happy to get us into an available room. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning and there is a well-equipped gym with a pool. Everything you would want or need can be found at the Fairmont. There is so much to see in D.C. and we look forward to a return trip in the near future. One thing we know for sure.......we're staying at the Fairmont!!

The room is good, it feels that the service does not match the hardware of the hotel, it seems that their front desk is more enthusiastic to serve whites! The small refrigerator is still locked, it is speechless, and I have lived in many high-end hotels. This situation is unique... Overall, the experience is not so good, it needs to be improved, there is no coffee machine in the room, the front desk says that the lobby is always available. However, after the first day of drinking, there was no more 😓😓😓😓😓 friends lived next to Hyatt, which is a good price.

The location is good, close to attractions, major buses and subway stations. The hotel room is also quite large, but I found that the soap was only given once and the bed sheets were not changed after staying for 5 consecutive days. However, the waiter did not accept tips in the following days. The hotel has parking, but the parking fee is quite expensive.

Nice decor in common areas and very comfortable beds. Great views from my level (8) They charge addition $5 something resort tax per night, which was not mentioned on booking description. The hotel coffee shop was so expensive, and I couldn’t find any drinking water fountains. No food or drink allowed in rooms. Common area filled with people working on laptops in the evening, not very social. Restaurant on site had great food, but not vegetarian friendly, and was so dark couldn’t read the menu.

I've stayed in 6 different hotels in D.C. in the past year. This is one to which I'll definitely return. The location works well when I'm visiting my daughter at college. And, as I like to walk, it's an easy walk to a good Whole Foods and the Foggy Bottom metro station. Its also a fairly long--but pleasant--walk to the White House, Lincoln Memorial, etc. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are extremely well thought out. The shower was huge with a textured floor that prevented slipping. Our room on the front of the hotel was quiet enough for us to sleep well. We liked the front desk staff. The housekeeping staff did a great job! The only thing that gave us pause was that you have to go up a small flight of stairs to reach the elevator and there's no bellman. However, the front desk staff immediately offered to carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs, so we were fine. We liked the neighborhood, and there's an excellent bakery/coffee shop (Tatte) nearby. This hotel is definitely a keeper.

Honestly, we have never stayed at a more spectacular hotel. We were extremely satisfied with the initial phone call to the end of our stay. Treasure was the absolute reason we decided to stay at this hotel and will make it our only choice whenever we visit. Treasure is professional, knowledgeable, patient, positive and truly wants the guests to be happy and comfortable. She is an asset to your hotel and wish her continued success . The entire staff from Sam at the front door,Maia inside and there was a young lady her first name begins with an F,it may be Flannery, I apologize.,but both of these ladies were very helpful and friendly. House keeping also outstanding. We forgot a bottle of water and one other item in the room and one of the ladies I think her name began with an M, met us at the gate of the garage with the items . One more person I'd like to mention is an older gentleman NODISRESPECT . I just want to be sure you know who I am talking about, but he takes care of the pool area and what a phenomenal job he does! The pool area is just stunning! Again, THANK YOU Treasure for going above and beyond and being the best of the best. Because of you this is our only hotel in D.C.

GGuest UserAlone, The InterContinental Hotel, nestled in the center of dc's New wharf district, is pleasant and comfortable. But what really made my trip memorable, and many in my group, was the amazing lobby and desk staff. My first interaction with Aries at the door was incredibly warm and genuine. His always pleasant attitude and dedication to service made for a pleasantly comfortable arrival. This continued throughout my stay, a pleasant 'good morning Mr. Todd” each day helped set my mood for the coming hours of intense business. Renita, at the desk, checked me in with proficiency and kindness. During my stay, Renita was always ready to assist with the many requests and concerns I brought to her attention. This intelligent and thoughtful women was always looking for ways to enhance my, and my groups, experience. Later in the evening I got to meet the superstars of the night. Aiman, Jamar (”Teenie”), Nico, Dimitri and Jay are hospitality's finest. Their constant attention to detail and anticipation of my needs was a blessing each evening. Their care was genuine and abundant. Always eager to assist! Of course, thanks go out to Sopha for leading such a friendly and professional team! I departed with a warm heart filled with new memories of an amazing staff and hotel. The hotel views are amazing and the beds were extremely comfortable! Hope to be back soon1

Booking the stay at AKA White House was a GREAT decision. it is 2 blocks away from the White House. My first day I easily walked to all the monuments and took a scooter down to the Capital. Check in was a breeze and Miles was so friendly and helpful as it was my first time in DC. HOLY COW was the suite amazing, CLEAN, and perfectly decorated and full of amenities. Janae at the front desk greeted me with a smile each time I came back in and the entryway smelled fantastic. It was a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the sidewalks outside. Did I mention the whole place was CLEAN? Highly recommend the AKA White House, whether it is a short or long stay.

Bed was comfy and the gym was really good (new, huge and clean), because it’s a private gym for people who live in the luxury building across the street. Check-in staff were friendly :).

Our week long Sonder stay was easy and pleasant. The room we rented was a studio. It was very clean when we arrived. The until had a full kitchen and there were plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Getting fresh sheets and towels was easy, self service. I really appreciated the laundry rooms in the building. A full kitchen was awesome to have available. We were able to do a run to a grocery and save time by preparing dishes there instead of traveling to find food for multiple meals. This probably saved us a ton of money as well. I am easy to please so for those of you who are not, here are things to be aware of. - At night, there is no one in the lobby. Make sure you have your pass code ready to go BEFORE you arrive, especially if you are checking in late. The support team is very responsive, even late at night but you will likely be making these messages or chats from outside if you don't have the pass codes. Entering the building and room is easier and faster if you key in your code manually instead of using the app. I passed a dozen people throughout the week trying to use the app to enter. The AC is really noisy. This doesn't bother me but if noise bothers you, you will probably find earplugs and a white noise machine in a drawer. The wifi on the 6th floor is absolutely awful. Maintaining a connection on the TV or other wifi connected devices truly ****** and this is my only personal complaint. Use your data hotspot if you can to get around it. I would happily stay at a Sonder location again.

Had a fab time staying at this hostel. Met some great new people and enjoyed seeing the city together. Location is excellent to see downtown DC. I travelled in and out of Union Station on foot (40 min walk) and felt safe. My dorm was fine. Simple but comfy bunk, locker for my gear (bring a lock) and easy access to shared bathrooms. Wifi in my dorm was non-existent but it worked great in the reception and just sitting on the brownstone stoop outside. Communal breakfast was simple, fresh cooked choc chip pancakes and coffee (all I needed) and all the prep areas you need if you wanna fetch your own food (great cheap supermarket next door). Lots of nice people to chat to on the days I stayed. Nice outdoor terrace to eat too.
