Holiday Inn WASHINGTON-CENTRAL/WHITE HOUSE by IHG

The hotel's location is great, right in the town center and close to attractions. You can walk to the White House and other sights within 20 minutes. There are many restaurants nearby, and the hotel's downstairs restaurant is also good. Breakfast was decent and quite varied, though you need to ask a server for coffee and other drinks. The room facilities are comprehensive, and the room itself is quite spacious. Overall, it offers good value for money.

This was my first trip to Washington, DC, and I booked this hotel in advance because the location looked great and I was able to get a really good discounted price. Although the room was listed as having a queen bed, it honestly felt more like a double or full-size bed. I was also disappointed that the room didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator. However, the biggest issue was how dusty the room was. I think it was the first time in my life that I sneezed more than 50 times in a single day. It bothered me throughout the entire trip, and constantly dealing with a runny nose made me even more tired. I eventually had to go to CVS and buy allergy medicine. I chose this hotel mainly because of the price, but if I visit DC again, I would probably pay a little more and stay somewhere else. Most places are still easily connected by metro through Google Maps anyway, so getting around the city and visiting tourist attractions isn’t difficult at all. That said, the front desk staff were friendly, and the location was convenient, so I would still recommend it for solo travelers. However, if you’re traveling with two or more people, I would suggest booking a better room than the one I stayed in, even if it costs more.

The room didn't have a bathtub. The room was big and seemed clean. I wish they'd give us more stuff. There wasn't even a bottle of water (wonder if that's how it is everywhere in the US?) The lights were kinda dim at night, and it could use some more. The breakfast was yummy! I love that there were convenient stores like Walgreens and CVS very close by, and they're open until 11 pm.

Amazing. This hotel offers comfort in practical manner. Located in nearby METRO station, it also within walking distances to bars and restaurants. Marrtiot and Ritzcarlton are just few steps away; and I thought it was going to be expensive. The staffs are super helpful. It is simple, clean, comfortable and inexpensive.

The hotel is in a great location and the room is very cozy. It is right outside the subway station, and you can walk to the Washington Monument and the White House in two steps. There is a McDonald's across the street, so you don't have to worry about food. But there are some big problems, that is, it is very close to the building next door, so there is no light, the room is very damp, and the street is not soundproof and noisy. B1's ice machine can produce drinking water, which is good

I stayed in the Phoenix Hotel with my daughter and sister. The facilities in the hotel are really excellent and easy to walk from Union station. However, i found out that on the first day i came into the room, there was a lot of dust on the floor and small pieces of snacks. Moreover, during our stay we had to contact the staff at the front desk, some staff made me feel really upset about services. One night,my sister went to ask the staff about how to open the laundry room , there were 2 staff members on duty and one of them said that if you could not open it meant it closed, and then he turned to laugh with another lady staff on the counter. We are Asian people, many many times that the staff in this hotel made us feel like they were looking down on Asian people and tried to make fun of us. That made us feel really bad about that. But there were not all staff that treated us bad like that, there were still good and service minded staff in hotels such as the doorman and the staff on the last day we checked out.

Absolutely loved staying at the Churchill Hotel! It is in a beautiful neighborhood. Close to DuPont Circle and the Metro. Very safe neighborhood. There is a separate area in the room with a desk. Actually, large enough to use as a dressing room! We will definitely be going back and staying at the Churchill.

First time visiting Washington DC, it was an amazing visit. My stay @ Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Downtown started out fantastic cause of the host Layla, she was so friendly & kind, she went above & beyond to make me feel very comfortable upon my early arrival. She switched rooms for me so I can have a better view, she gave me wonderful suggestions for theatre, dining, shopping, & entertainment. She checked on me throughout my 2 day stay to make sure things were going well with my visit. I had dinner @ The Third Rail Restaurant inside the Hotel & the food was great, I recommend the Pork Chops fantastic. My room was nice & clean, with a comfortable bed, amazing shower, wonderful indoor pool, various streaming choices to watch TV, housekeeping staff & other staff was just wonderful. If you're looking for a great place to stay look no further this is the place. It's within 10 mins of all the museums you can't go wrong.

We enjoyed our stay here in this safe neighborhood which was a 7 min walk to the Metro. Trader Joe’s across the street was convenient and we made breakfast each day. We were too busy for the fitness center. The laundry is in a small room in the basement with two washers and two dryers for $3.50/load and very nice that they provided the soap and softener. We had a problem with the lock on the door and they moved us to another room as it couldn’t be fixed in one day. I highly recommend!
