Amazing
CCNXGBasel was our final stop in Switzerland this year, a border city spanning only 24 square kilometers. Despite its border location, it's very developed and modern.
**Environment:**
Among hotels like Victoria, Mövenpick, Radisson, and Novotel, we chose this 3-star option. It's directly opposite the SBB train station, and the main bus terminal is just 100 meters from the lobby exit. Although it's a transport hub, the area is decent; there are a few homeless people around, but its convenience makes up for it.
**Facilities:**
There's no fitness center, but you can pay to use a partner facility. The lobby bar is alright, not too crowded, with a nice corner view of the street. Coffee runs between 6-7 Swiss francs. The room isn't huge, but it's fully functional, and the bathroom is quite spacious, which is great for travelers.
**Cleanliness:**
The common areas, like the lobby and hallways, are well-maintained, and the room was very tidy. You can definitely trust the cleanliness standards of Swiss hotels.
**Service:**
Check-in and check-out were both quick. Our room was ready well in advance, and luggage storage was straightforward. They provide a Basel Card, which offers free use of all city public transport and half-price entry to some museums. I didn't particularly notice any other services.
GGuest UserHotel at very convenient location, providing easy access to different means of public transport. Both the public areas and rooms of the hotel are clean and brightly lit. The room is very spacious indeed, and the water in the tub is strong and hot enough.
The breakfast was on the whole good, except that there's some recurrent confusion in the order of omelettes because of seemingly poor coordination in the manpower and order-taking arrangements. Hope that could be improved.
GGuest User**Wonderful Stay at Gaia Hotel Basel!**
We had an excellent stay at Gaia Hotel Basel. The hotel's commitment to sustainability was impressive and evident in every detail. Our room was comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully designed, with thoughtful eco-friendly touches.
We loved the delicious breakfast with organic and locally sourced options, and the convenient location near the train station made exploring Basel easy. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help.
Gaia Hotel Basel perfectly combines comfort, sustainability, and great service. We highly recommend it and would happily stay again on our next visit to Basel!
MM232647****Randomly booked, but what a hidden gem of a hotel! It was just a transit stay, and I arrived after 9 PM, but it's super close to the train station, about a 2-minute walk. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and the room was both clean and spacious. The service was excellent too. Plus, there are plenty of shops nearby.
ООльгаExcellent hotel, all at height ... The room is spacious according to Switzerland's standards. Excellent location. Good breakfast.Issued Basel Card: free transportation and 50% discount in museums, theatres and almost everything. In the room the delicious Swiss apples waited for us. On the recession water and fruit every day.
LLevin HuangGreat location. About 10-15mins walk from the main train station. The air circulation in the room wasn’t that good. It was rather stuffy making it hard to sleep at night. Tried adjusting the thermostat but it didn’t work. The bathroom is clean however the water heater couldn’t work properly and it was 7 degrees outside. 😓
GGuest UserVery beautiful hostel in Basel. Best quality/value coherence. Super green and stylish design. You have a lot of space where to rest: lobby, terrace or garden.
I lived in the quadrille room on the second floor. Shower and toilet are located on a general floor, nor in your private room, but still place is spacious and you have a lot of variants where to go
MM62258****This hotel in Basel exceeded my expectations; there are many tram stops nearby. The receptionists were very welcoming and chatty. The facilities are modern, with air conditioning, and the breakfast was excellent. It's over a 15-minute walk to the tram stop, so taking a taxi in the evening is probably the best option. I felt the rooms facing the street were better than those in the inner courtyard.
GGuest UserThe facilities were clean, housekeeping were friendly and respectful,wi fi was very functional,Bartenders and receptionist were friendly and helpful,i wont forget Rufat and Melina for their kind gestures at the bar.😊
