Mandarin Oriental Qianmen,Beijing

Honestly, staying at this hotel for my first time in Beijing truly broadened my horizons and changed my perception of the city. My wife, our child, and I came to Beijing for the May Day holiday. She said since we're here, we might as well splurge and experience a traditional Beijing courtyard. It truly delivered a top-tier luxury experience. The room layout was excellent, the courtyard views were charming, the service was impeccable, and the location was superb with an abundance of food delivery options. Breakfast was all made-to-order. The only thing we missed out on was the bar and hotel activities, but there's always next time. I do have two minor points of discomfort to share, just for reference: 1. When our taxi pulled up to the hotel entrance, a staff member immediately asked me what I was doing there. I was a bit taken aback at first, then explained I was checking in. I'm not blaming him; perhaps I was dressed too casually, but it did feel a little off-putting. 2. On our last day, breakfast felt less crowded, but the food service was incredibly slow. We went at 10 AM, thinking half an hour would be plenty for breakfast, especially since the day before our food arrived in about 15 minutes. This time, we waited half an hour just for the dishes to arrive. Overall, it was absolutely wonderful, and I'd definitely go back if I get the chance. It left a lasting impression, and thinking about it now still brings back such lovely memories, especially sitting in the courtyard at night, listening to music and watching the stars 💫

Beijing Wanda Vista Hotel

Excellent

This time, my best friend and I came to Beijing to play, and we specifically booked a deluxe city-view suite at Wanda Vista. The overall experience completely exceeded both of our expectations. We couldn't find a single flaw in terms of hygiene, environment, service, or facilities. I absolutely have to write a glowing review and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end hotel in Beijing! First, let's talk about room hygiene, which honestly deserves a full five stars – no exaggeration. The moment we checked in and entered the room, it felt incredibly clean and fresh. The entire floor, the corners of the floor-to-ceiling windows, and even the crevices of the sofa were all impeccably clean, with not a speck of dust. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was exceptionally well-done; there wasn't a single water stain on the vanity mirror. The bathtub had been disinfected in advance, and every corner of the toilet and shower area was sparkling clean. The bedding was soft and fluffy, the sheets and duvet covers had no strange odors, and the pillowcases and duvet covers were neatly stitched. The My Dream bed mattress had just the right firmness. My friend and I were exhausted from traveling the night before, but we slept incredibly soundly that night, without any trouble adjusting to a new bed or insomnia. The mini-bar, TV cabinet, and the inside of the wardrobe were also perfectly organized. All the water glasses and tea sets were high-temperature sterilized. You could really tell that the cleaning staff was incredibly meticulous when tidying up, paying great attention to detail. We felt completely at ease during our stay.

Our overall stay was perfect, we were thoroughly satisfied with everything. The hotel's location is excellent, close to a shopping district and the subway, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The front desk staff were gentle and professional, and even proactively offered tips for local sightseeing. Room hygiene was impeccable, the entire room was spotless, and the bathroom with its separate wet and dry areas was clean and odor-free. The toiletries were comprehensive and of good quality. The mattress was just right in terms of firmness, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. Public areas were clean and tidy, and the self-service laundry and other facilities were well-maintained and easy to use. The service throughout was thoughtful and unobtrusive. It offers incredible value for money, making it suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. I wholeheartedly recommend it, and it will be our first choice next time we visit!

The hotel boasts convenient transportation and excellent overall service, particularly from the front desk ladies, Selina and Rita. Their graceful and proper demeanor, coupled with their warm and attentive service, truly reflects the hotel's high standards. The rooms are clean, tidy, and quiet, and the breakfast offers a great variety. The doorman service is also commendable. We booked a room with a view, and it was truly amazing; upon drawing the curtains, we could see the Forbidden City, the Great Hall of the People, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and Beihai Park – all within sight. I highly recommend the Jinmao Hotel.

Facilities: The room offers an excellent view directly facing the Forbidden City. The swimming pool is comfortably heated, and the gym is well-equipped with machines that are maintained like new. Cleanliness: Impeccable. The bedding was pristine and crisp, and the bathroom was spotless. The turndown service even organized personal belongings meticulously. Ambiance: Located in Wangfujing, yet surprisingly quiet. The floral arrangements and artwork in the public areas are tasteful and elegant. The unique scent of oriental agarwood creates a distinctive, secluded atmosphere. Service: Our butler, Xiao Lü, was the absolute highlight. She attentively observed our needs, proactively prepared a rainy-day itinerary, and arranged a late check-out. Her thoughtfulness felt like that of an old friend, making it a truly warm and memorable experience. Overall, it exceeded our expectations! 👍🏻

After comparing several hotels in the same price range, I chose Zǐlóng Gardens. I'd also looked at their usual rates, and it seemed a bit pricier then, but booking it in advance for a holiday trip was definitely a steal. **Stay:** For the same price, other places offer rooms under 30 square meters, but Zǐlóng Gardens gives you 50 square meters. It's nestled in a hutong, offering a quiet escape in the midst of the bustling city. It's actually the former residence of Prince Taò, who was an advisor to the People's Liberation Army's equestrian administration. We opted for the family room, which even had a small balcony with a view. The room had a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom, so washing up wasn't cramped at all. **Food:** The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks (mineral water, Coke, Sprite, beer), and they'd replenish it anytime. Although the restaurant isn't huge, the food is incredibly fresh, with different dishes every day. I initially thought breakfast wasn't included, but it turned out to be free! From 11 AM to 11 PM, they offer afternoon tea with chef-prepared dishes like wontons and Zhajiangmian, all completely free of charge. You can even take fruit back to your room. The 'Sìyuè Hétún' restaurant on the first floor also had good prices and flavors; no reservations needed for their fugu or roast duck. **Getting Around:** It's very close to Nanluoguxiang, the National Art Museum of China, Wangfujing, and Longfu Temple. The subway station is about a 10-minute walk, but I mostly used taxis, which made getting around super convenient. **Service:** The hotel staff's service was impeccable. Finally, although check-out was officially at 12 PM, they were fine with us leaving at 2 PM, and even gave us a farewell gift. Overall, it was a truly satisfying stay. Our 5-day, 4-night trip during Chinese New Year was a fantastic family experience and definitely enhanced our vacation.

The room was great, and I loved that food deliveries could be brought right to my door by a robot. The location is super convenient, with popular spots like Siji Minfu and Grandpa's Tea right downstairs. It's also not far from the shopping mall. I was really happy with this last-minute booking.

The Pan Pacific Beijing's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right in the heart of Xidan, and you can walk to Financial Street, which made my business trip incredibly efficient. I got lucky this time and stayed on a high floor. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the Forbidden City and Beihai's White Pagoda. Watching the city skyline at sunset made my business trip feel much less tiring. The hotel's modern and minimalist design is really appealing, and the facilities are well-maintained. To have such an experience in a core area of Beijing, the value for money is exceptional.

Honestly, everything was impeccable, from the value for money and pre-arrival communication to the actual stay. However, I have to mention the staff at the Kids' Club – they were quite something. My package included the Spring Kite Flying activity, and I asked a staff member if I could pay extra to switch to the pottery workshop. She said yes, it would be an additional 100 RMB. So I called my child over from outside, and we were just about to start when another staff member, a heavier-set woman in a white t-shirt, quickly interjected, saying we couldn't. When I asked why not, she replied with a very dismissive look, ”The activities we put in packages are the ones nobody wants to do.” I didn't want to argue with her, so I went to the front desk in the main lobby. After the front desk called to inquire, they said we could indeed pay extra for pottery. But by then, I'd completely lost interest. It just felt like a lack of consistent service, which was really disappointing. I hope this gets some attention, because for a hotel with such a great environment, I think it's one of a kind in Beijing. It would be a shame to spoil the whole experience because of one bad apple.

Here I am again, after less than a month! This time I even braved a heavy downpour to get here. My flight circled over Beijing for an hour before landing, so I didn't get to the hotel until after midnight. It was another one of those check-in and check-out on the same day trips. I was already feeling pretty groggy, but thankfully, Bella at the front desk was incredibly warm and enthusiastic. She handled everything super quickly and thoughtfully, getting me checked in no time. Once I got to the room, I even bothered the staff to open and close the window for me. They made two trips late at night – I'm really grateful, though I regret not catching their names. This time, my room had an even better view! When I woke up in the morning, the sun was even out, and my mood instantly brightened, just like the weather. I got back late from lunch, but luckily, they extended my check-out time. By the way, I once again ran into the ever-elegant Ms. Rose Xiao. She checked out my room card for me at the very last minute. This trip was truly a whirlwind. As expected, after the storm, there's always sunshine! (I hope I got both employees' names right; I always worry about misspelling them.)
