BBrifertvI had a very good experience staying at Hilton Cardiff. The hotel felt extremely safe and well managed throughout my stay. One thing I noticed is that they are very strict about not allowing visitors after 9 PM. At first, it was a bit disappointing, but honestly, it also made me feel much safer knowing they take security seriously. The service was excellent from beginning to end. The staff were always kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed, which made the whole experience feel very welcoming. My room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. It was also cleaned during my stay, which I really appreciated and added to the overall comfort. The location is another big advantage the hotel is just steps away from Cardiff Castle, making it perfect for exploring the city. It’s also only about a 20 minute walk from Cardiff Central railway station, which made getting there and around very convenient. One morning I decided to try the breakfast buffet, and it was definitely worth it. There were many options to choose from, including pastries, hot food, fruit, and drinks. They also had coffee machines with very good coffee, which made the breakfast experience even better. Another highlight was the bar downstairs it had a great atmosphere and was a really nice place to relax after a day of exploring. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cardiff, especially if you value comfort, excellent service, a great location, and above all, feeling safe during your stay.

GGuest UserLoved your hotel.  We had a fantastic king room with sea views & the bed was very comfortable. Didn’t have the evening meal there but loved the breakfast, it was the best we’ve ever had.   Location was superb. Regards Kathleen Rhiannon & Douglas Spence💃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🕺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

DDeemahI had a wonderful stay at Cardiff Marriott! The location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were given a spacious room and were even allowed to check in early, which made our arrival smooth and relaxing. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

PPuhohvostThe room had a water view, was spacious and clean. The shower had good water pressure, and we were on the 2nd floor. When checking in, they insisted our booking wasn't paid for, so I had to show them the voucher with the confirmation. Breakfast was good, they even had vegetables, which is rare! 😅 The location is so-so – fairly close to the center, but also very deserted and a bit uncomfortable to walk back to in the evenings.

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay overall. The location was fantastic—on a beautiful street—and the hotel building itself is stunning. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a very kind Italian gentleman, which gave me a great first impression. My room, though located in a separate area, was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Everything looked fresh and well thought out. However, I was disappointed to find visible stains on the bed sheets. While I believe they had been washed, the stains hadn’t come out and the sheets were still used, which didn’t match the high standard the rest of the hotel presented. I think they should have replaced them. Another minor inconvenience was the bathroom light, which was automatic and triggered the extractor fan. This meant that even during the night, using the bathroom caused the noisy fan to stay on for a while, which could’ve been avoided with a manual light switch, in my opinion. Despite these issues, the stay was mostly very positive, but I can’t give a full five stars because of the sheets. Hopefully this can be improved for future guests.

GGuest UserHaving lived in Cardiff for decades, I always thought the Raddison Blu looked smart.  First time trying there and I was really disappointed.  It's shabby, the room was really stark and overall it needs some attention.  Reception was full of leaves and granted that the weather was a bit grim, but it gave a dreadful first impression.  The room was very disappointing - painted blue and really really stark. Huge bed (two singles pushed together) a desk and some weird little table - all furniture was bashed and scratched and the room was a very odd layout. The bathroom was decent (and made the room look worse because it was quite modern) but the shower door wouldn't stay closed so the floor was sopping wet.  Despite the website saying that every room had a hairdryer, I had to ring reception to request one.  The bed wasn't too bad but they have to be the worst pillows I've ever slept on - hard doesn't come close.  Overall, I wouldn't stay there again and feel there are far better hotels in the area for the same money which were more welcoming, more modern and less bleak!

GGuest UserThe bed was very comfortable, and the location is right on the liveliest street. While the location is convenient, it’s also quite noisy—there were people drinking and partying downstairs late into the night. Early in the morning, you can hear the sound of bottles being cleared from the street.

AAsTaN FeRnAnDeSThe stay was really good overall the room was clean, comfortable, and everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. However, I was a bit disappointed that I had to pay £16 for parking for the whole day. It would have been nice if parking was included in the stay or at least offered at a reduced rate for guests. Apart from that, everything else was great and I enjoyed my stay

GGuest UserI’m so glad we decided to stay at The Coal Exchange Hotel in Cardiff. I’d been given the very important job of finding a place to stay overnight for my friend’s special birthday. I didn’t really know where to start, so I compared prices of hotels in the area. I was surprised to find that the ‘budget’ hotels Premier Inn and Travelodge were no cheaper than The Coal Exchange for the given dates! I had a look at the photos and reviews and it looked perfect for a special occasion. It was steeped in history with the interior design staying true to the period in which it was built. Originally, as there were five of us, I had booked the sextuplet room. It looked amazing and we were all really excited about staying there. Unfortunately though, due to maintenance work being carried out on that part of the building, we had to change our plans to three double rooms right next to each other. The rooms were beautiful. Floor to ceiling double windows, opulent wallpaper, ornate period furniture and a lovely comfortable centrepiece bed. The bathrooms had gorgeous jacuzzi baths and stone basins. The following morning we had a delicious breakfast in Culley’s Restaurant situated inside the Coal Exchange. The staff here are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay. Can’t wait to go back.

GGuest UserLocated in the middle of the city centre close to castle and local attractions. Unfortunately room backed into a night club which played music till 4am. If you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. Other then that lovely place.
