Naha Hotels with Bars

First, let's talk about the location: If you're using Naha city as a transit hub and plan to travel around Okinawa by public transportation, I highly recommend staying near the Naha Bus Terminal. 1. Many express long-distance buses depart from here. 2. It's also where Asahibashi Station for the Yui Rail (monorail) is located within Naha city. The Yui Rail is punctual and convenient, taking you to places like the museum, Shuri Castle, and more. 3. You can also walk directly to Naminoue Shrine, and it's not far from Kokusai Street (both about a 15-minute walk). It's also very close to the Don Quijote in Tsubogawa. One more thing: there are many hotels around Asahibashi Station, all sharing a covered pedestrian bridge that connects the bus terminal and Yui Rail station. So, there isn't much difference in terms of location. I chose this particular hotel based on room size. Now, about the hotel itself: You can access the hotel elevators on both the first and second floors, taking you directly to the 14th-floor front desk. Check-in at the front desk was thorough but a bit slow. At the front desk, you can pick up daily amenities like bath salts, sunscreen, shower gel, face masks, makeup remover, etc. There's also that blue herbal tea... On the 14th floor, you have to switch elevators to reach the guest room floors. Whenever I hung the 'please clean' sign when going out, the room was always tidied up and looked brand new upon my return, with daily consumables replenished. Oh, and I really loved the sencha coffee machine in the room; I'd have a cup or two every day after coming back. I even watched a Norway vs. England World Cup match on NHK BS 4K on the TV. There are many supermarkets downstairs, and various dining options like izakayas and Okinawan restaurants are all within walking distance. I stayed for 4 days and was very satisfied overall.

The location is super convenient, right at the entrance of Kokusai-dori. I booked a twin room and it was more than enough space for one person; I could spread out my luggage freely. The bathroom was also quite spacious. I couldn't tell if it had been renovated, but it wasn't too old either.

When we arrived, already liked the atmosphere of the lobby- bar-restaurant, which was lively, with nice lighting and the green foliage from the window wall and smell nice too, which is very important. We could early check-in in a corner room and high floor! Our purpose was to leave our bags and was surprised with rooms ready. Our room was spotless, decorated with neutral colours, very comfortable, everything was new. The only thing, the window only opens just a little bit and was hard to close it back and the faucet of the sink was just below the glass shelf and you will hit it every time you turn it on and the room lights had few individual switches, therefore was almost an all lights on or all lights off deal! Another down thing was the flip-flops which weren’t comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and fresh, with just the right amount of choices but everything available was really good. The public bath as well, everything was new, clean and with enough number of showers and the bath had the right size, decorated with simple and tasteful colours, the water was delicious. The location of the hotel was very good, just a few minutes walk to the monorail and with convenient shopping around. We enjoyed every minute of our stayed! It was excellent!

Located in an alley right off Okinawa's Kokusai-dori, this hotel offers relatively large rooms and is one of the top five-star accommodations in that area. The rooms are very clean and the service is excellent. The hotel provides two type of parking; Parking directly adjacent to the hotel cost 1,600 yen per day, but if you are willing to walk for 5 minutes, parking is free. The breakfast was quite repetitive, with the same food served every day. We stayed for three nights, and for two of those days, the coffee machine was broken, so only basic coffee was provided. A five-star hotel should not have these issues. Additionally, the seafood bowl (Kaisendon) must be ordered separately as a special à la carte item.

Hotel Strata Naha in Okinawa impresses with its nicely designed building, comfortable twin rooms, and large balconies. However, the overall experience falls short. The internet is fast when it works, but the signal is patchy. The breakfast spread is high quality, yet the coffee offered is disappointingly poor in taste. The smart TV never worked despite complaints, with no standard TV channels available. Additionally, light cleaning service the next day upon arrival didn’t include making the beds, which felt lacking. The ladies at the reception would benefit of English language training. Overall, the stay was good but needs improvement in these small yet important details to live up to its potential

Location: About a 10-15 minute walk from Kokusai Street. Cleanliness: If you request room cleaning, only basic cleaning is done. Trash is not removed unless it's in a trash can or bag. Service: Good. Drinks are available in the lobby, and there's luggage storage on the second floor. Facilities: Not bad. However, the room is small. It's inconvenient to move around with luggage. Nearby Amenities: There's a convenience store and restaurants right next door. Behind the hotel, there seem to be quite a few entertainment venues and bars, with a lot of touting. Cons: Every evening, biker gangs ride around. I stayed for 4 days and saw them every day. There are many touts, probably because of the numerous entertainment venues nearby.

The 5-person room was very spacious, and it was great that our whole family could stay together. With twin or triple rooms, we'd have to split into two, which increases costs and can lead to disagreements over who stays where. The room was also clean, which was nice. As for breakfast, considering it's 2200 yen per person, I thought it might be better to eat out. The drink service was much appreciated, especially during the hot weather.

The biggest disappointment during our stay was the check-out experience. One of the front desk staff had a very unfriendly attitude and tone of voice, which made us feel unwelcome and not respected. It is possible that English was not their first language, but the overall service at check-out was disappointing. Another downside was the parking fee, which was much more expensive than we expected. Since we were driving, it added a significant extra cost to our stay. Other than these issues, we had a good stay. The room was well maintained and comfortable, and the view was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, and the location was okay, within walking distance to the port. We also appreciated having a laundry room, which was very convenient.

The location right next to Naminoue Shrine is super convenient. It's a bit of a shame there aren't any supermarkets or convenience stores nearby though. It takes about half an hour to get to Kokusai Dori, so a taxi might be the best option. The airport shuttle service is a great plus. The hot springs were amazing, too bad the weather wasn't great when I was there.

Very nice place for backpackers. I was able to meet many new people. They have some kind of a deal with a local diving company, so when at the hostel you can book diving or snorkeling and get some percent off the price👍🏼
