jingzongThe room was spacious, but the bed was incredibly small – so small you could practically roll off it. However, the location was super convenient. There's a restaurant downstairs, just a 5-minute walk away, and a shopping mall right by the main square, making dining and everything else very easy. Plus, it's less than a 10-minute walk from the airport express stop.

Positives: The location was walkable - there is an error to say it’s 20km from main square - it’s 2km away and walkable so location is good. Next to a small mall, food and convenience shop 24x7. It’s super new and everything is so clean and neat. Hot showers. Clean sheets. Aircond in room which is controllable. Fridge. Disposable bath towel, face towel, toothbrush, in-shower shampoo, soap and even conditioner, hair-dryer! Helpful staff. Overall great great stay! And of yah - it’s on the 4th floor but there is a lift thankfully.
Negatives: Breakfast is a plan shelf bun - nothing else. They sold my room despite me contacting them to say I was delayed for morning and not night check in and charged me for the day of the bed sold. But they were nice to find me alternative and refund the other. It would have been nice to get a compensation for the shock that the paid bed was not available. Overall staff nice and pleasant. The need to implement recycling cause they was very organized w disposable towels and slippers - but no recycling or attempt to reduce waste. Just need to go a bit green. Karaoke downstairs can be a bit loud.

YunxingtianxiaThe hotel's location is super central; it's a 10-minute walk to landmarks like the Blue Sky Hotel, the National University of Mongolia, and the GOBI cashmere store. It's about 50 km from the airport, but it took us 2.5 hours to get there due to heavy traffic. When I asked why, I learned a few things: firstly, used cars are incredibly cheap to import into Mongolia, with no tariffs, and you'll see both left and right-hand drive vehicles, leading to a huge number of car purchases. Secondly, the city's road planning is inadequate; the roads are already narrow, parking is unregulated, and there are no subways or ring roads to ease congestion. Thirdly, while Mongolia has a population of 3.5 million and a land area of 1.56 million square kilometers, averaging only two people per square kilometer, the vastness of the country means households own 1.5-2 cars on average.
The breakfast was good; I especially liked the yogurt and cereal, and the dining environment was elegant and comfortable. The staff were all very professional. Overall, I was satisfied with the hotel. I did have two minor complaints: 1. I couldn't find an electrical outlet near the bed for charging. 2. The sink was a bit too low, requiring me to constantly bend over, which was a bit hard on my back.

XiaomangguoaimeiliThis hotel was recommended by my Mongolian colleagues, and it's excellent value for money. It's cheaper than the hotel next door, but the quality is much better! Mongolia in December is absolutely freezing, I was shivering the whole time!!

Guest UserUlaanbaatar isn't a huge city, and this hotel is conveniently located on a straight road to the department store, National Museum, and the main square. The price isn't bad either. However, I really have to complain about the decor. There's a mirror right by the door, and I scared myself several times opening it!

Guest UserThe hotel room is spacious, and the location is good, about a 15-minute walk from the plaza. However, the breakfast was a bit limited and served in small portions. There are restaurants on the first two floors below, and the Chinese restaurant served up some delicious food – we ate there twice!

We stayed at Platinum Hotel in Ulaanbaatar with my wife, and overall, it was a great experience from start to finish.
We booked a Deluxe King-size room, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a beautiful view over the city, which we really enjoyed, especially in the evenings. The bed was large and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any requests and making us feel at home throughout our stay. Their attitude really added to the overall positive impression of the hotel.
Breakfasts were also excellent — a good variety of options, everything fresh and tasty, and a great way to start the day.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend Platinum Hotel to anyone visiting Ulaanbaatar. It’s a great combination of comfort, cleanliness, and friendly service, and we would happily stay here again in the future.

D. ChoRoom: The hotel needs to clean the room thoroughly, not just the bathroom but also the carpeted area, and fix the base board moldings as well as the loose heater radiator which supposed to be anchored down to the wall. Although the room is carpeted wall to wall, I can see bare floor on the edges and the corners.
Location: Not good, but at the same time not bad either. All attractions are within $3~$4 away which is more than I paid in other ~stan countries nearby. May be it is a Mongoljan thing, but for me it wasn't easy to hire taxi cab unless I am willing to pay the extra tips.
The front staffs: Very friendly and eager to provide help. Not all of them speaks English, but it is not a problem since they translator app is widely available.
Furnitures in the room: Very old, and there are wears and tears every part of the furniture. I don't know the other rooms, but the room I was given was too small for the furnitures to be placed in first place.
Overall: I wouldn't stay here again. The over all conditions of the hotel was not even close to the pictures shown in the trip.com app. If you select this hotel based on the pictures, you would be very disappointed if you are given the room I stayed in. Avoid Room 602 anyway you can.
