Very Good
GGuest UserGood and clean hotel. While it's rated as 5-star, I would give it a high international 4-star rating. Staff are helpful and their English is very good. Location overlooks the main square of UB - this is a plus and minus. If there are a lot of activities/celebrations going on while you're in UB and you're facing the square, you'll hear ALL OF IT. If you're looking to go the main business area just north of the Shangri-la Mall, then it's about a casual 15-minute walk.
AandradelivThis is the oldest hotel in Mongolia but don’t be afraid: they recently renovated the rooms and they are modern and well equipped. When you enter the lobby it feels like you’ve been transported to another era. When you leave the hotel, you’re in the heart of the city.
Staff were well trained and spoke good English.
The Sichuan restaurant at the 6th floor is really authentic - I’ve lived in Sichuan and can guarantee the food is good.
My only negative remark is that the bathroom was not well planned because the water leaks - easy to fix if you add a real glass door and not just a decorative one.
GGira’NThe reception staff and all the other employees were truly friendly and kind. They were quick and efficient with everything. The bathroom was very clean, and the room itself was spacious.
Compared to other hotels of the same category, the price was more affordable, yet the room was larger and more comfortable. This is the first hotel, in my experience, that has handled every aspect of guest comfort and service so thoughtfully and well.
Even though I have stayed at many hotels, this one stood out as the friendliest. They were also very understanding and flexible when it came to extending the room during checkout time. Many other hotels tend to rush guests or charge extra immediately, but that was not the case here.
I will definitely choose this hotel again whenever I return.
MM256518****The room isn't very big and the decor is a bit old-fashioned. My biggest complaint is the hairdryer; it's an old model with very weak airflow, making it quite difficult to use. On the positive side, the hotel service is excellent, and communication in English is seamless. They can assist with calling taxis and other requests. Many tourists stay here, and the breakfast selection is quite good.
GGuest UserThe hotel's overall environment is indeed excellent; it's clean, tidy, and well-equipped, though the lack of breakfast service might affect some guests' experience. However, both the staff's service attitude and the room comfort are commendable. If the hotel could add breakfast service in the future, I believe it would attract even more guests. Overall, this hotel is still worth recommending, and I look forward to seeing it improve further.
AAayush Singh ChopraThe hotel was located right across Sukhbataar square and 1 km from State department store which made it really convenient to go around walking. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and the breakfast Buffet had a nice spread of local Mongolian cuisines as well as western options. The Hotel also features 3 bars and a lounge on 23/F with amazing views of the city and nice food.
Highly recommended for stay in Ulaanbaatar.
GGuest UserThank you for everthing. I lost my important belongings, but the staff tried to find them together. He called the taxi driver to find them instead of me because I had only my countries' phone number. On the last day, I tried to give him a tip, but he didn't take it because he knew there are no customes of tipping in my country. I was very moved by his all behavior. Meeting him made me think that I wanna go back to Mongolia again. I will absolutely stay at the same hotel when I go back to Mongolia. Thank you!!
GGuest UserThe Novotel in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, provides a modern, comfortable, and consistent international hotel experience with a central location, making it easy to walk to popular spots. Key features include friendly, English-speaking staff, spacious and well-equipped rooms, and a good gym and pool area.
GGuest UserI stayed at Eagle Town a second time on my way home from Mongolia, and even though I arrived late, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially the guy at the front desk whose name I didn't catch. He got me a ride to the airport the day after, and -- although this was a misunderstanding -- had prepared the room specially to house four people (I was traveling alone, but Trip.com had made it look like there were four of us).
The rooms are nice, with very comfortable beds, perfect after having been in the countryside for a week. The location is rather close to Chinggis Khan Airport, or at least as close as you're likely to get for now, and there are plenty of grocery stores and convenience stores in the area. I didn't have any use for the kitchen, but it seemed to be supplied with at least some basics for people who want to cook themselves.
AAnna K...Normal for a short stay. But that's if you don't bother. The place is good, I didn't quite understand where exactly it is located. But everything is nearby. Shops, cafes, etc.
