Farne Lodge

Love that we've found this place! A clean, well decorated, well stocked room, with free parking and a gorgeous cafe(the courtyard) literally a minute walk away. Lovely quiet area. Cannot fault the staff, they are always available to help. Rooms are spotless. This is our 3rd visit, hopefully many more. Well organised and the freedom suits us well.

Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding in Alnwick and to have an explore the next day. What a fantastic place to stay! Clean as a whistle, bottled water in the fridge, bed super comfy, lovely bathroom with the fluffiest towels. Onsite restaurant also cracking, perfect Eggs Benedict the next morning :) will definitely return.

Rooms are similar to smaller version of Travelodge rooms at a much better price. Very clean with ensuite shower, toilet, drawer storage and clothes hanging space along with smart TV including Netflix and catch up and mini fridge for drinks etc. Each room has outside seating and free parking next to rooms. Cleanliness of rooms, bed linen and towels is great and bonus of Courtyard cafe on site where the majority of meals are all home made. Courtyard prices are very competitive and staff and food are great with really good prices in a lovely spacious environment, when we were there good weather meant folding floor to ceiling windows were open which enhanced the fresh air aspect of the building Price per night is way below anything else in both Beadnell and Seahouses and the rooms provide such good value for money especially knowing we were only really using the room in the evening and as a clean, comfortable place to sleep. A hidden gem. An excellent facility to stay whilst exploring the area. The room was large, immaculately clean. It had a double and a single bed. Comfortable bed , bedding and pillows. Plenty of storage and hangers. There was a sofa and a chair. Tv , wifi and tea and coffee making facilities which were replenished every day. There was a small fridge with water provided The bathroom was quite small but functional with an excellent shower. If it was cold there were two heaters and extra fleeces. Parking outside your door and a bench to sit on. A cafe on site which offered a wide variety of food at reasonable prices. We had breakfast each day. The food was good well cooked and was excellent produce. Service speedy and staff friendly. We will return without a doubt .

They have 15 rooms, we were in number 14. Parking outside the room. Stayed one night. Self check in, your room number is on the blackboard. Comfortable double bed, plenty of storage. Fridge, T.V, kettle with tea, coffee,chocolate and biscuits. Electric heater in our room. The shower room was adequate, plenty of hot water but the pressure was low. Shower gel and soap supplied. 2 bottles of water in the fridge. WiFi was decent for checking emails. Lovely breakfast in the on-site cafe. We would definitely consider staying here again. Beadnal is a lovely village. Recommended.

Good value for money. Stayed in Room 12. Unfortunately lots of bird poo directly outside our room all over the benches so unable to sit directly outside. Realised theres a birds nest in the grooves. Room was a good size with nice furniture. Bathroom was ensuite shower. Had a little mould but suppose that's to be expected. Tea and coffee was provided, would have preferred to have had two hot chocolate instead of one, as two of us were staying. Bedroom consisted of one double bed and one single. We both slept well.

We had the best stay again ruth one in a million loved the chat and loved the place nothing too much trouble loved my cake for my 65th and ice cream wonderful stay and beautiful cafe slept like a log keep it up sorry to miss Katherine next time xxxx

Good location. Very peaceful and quiet. Unbeknown to us, the keys are left in the door of the lodge and you let yourself in, no check in required. If it wasnt for the nice people already staying there and telling us to let ourselves in we wouldnt have known. For security reasons I wont give any further information on this as it could compromise the lodge. The room itself was very nicely furnished. Nice double bed and single bed. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk although as it was two of us staying it would have been nice to have two hot chocolates instead of one. Bathroom had a little mould in the shower but I suppose thats to be expected. Other than that it was clean and tidy. Only down side was we couldnt sit outside our room in the fresh air (like the other people staying were) due to the bird droppings all over the bench. There is a bird nest in the grooves right outside of our door so that explains all the muck. This could have been cleared prior to us arriving. For the room rate this is a good room, had a decent size tv and the beds were comfy. Overall good value for money. We stayed in room 12

Just got home from a family wedding at Bamburgh Castle and we stayed here (me, partner & 2 teen daughters). The facilities were fantastic, comfy beds, spotless clean and extremely helpful staff. Amazing location and lovely place to eat on site. We ate there twice and food was outstanding. The staff at the lodge (the lady who was cleaning the rooms) was so cheerful and helpful. We stayed in one lodge and our teen daughters (12yrs old) stayed in one next to us. All felt extremely safe and comfortable and will definitely be staying again!
