Hotels near Kai Lianguan, Beijing

We visited this hostel during the May holiday in 2021 and found it whilst looking for somewhere to get away to during the busy weekend. Thankfully it did not disappoint! Location: Located a valley away from Mutianyu Great Wall, the location of this place is fantastic. You can walk through the tees and mountains all the way up to the Great Wall, it takes about 1 hour and is not a difficult climb. The surrounding area is remote but has a few amenities, such as a few hotels and activities you can do. You can also see parts of unkempt Great Wall on the mountain tops, which is incredible. Room: The room was lovely and clean with a huge bath and an electronic toilet (quite the experience!). Inside the room there toiletries, tea & coffee, and some fresh fruit. The bed was large and soft, and the room had effective air conditioning. Facilities: The hotel’s grounds are on the side of a mountain with a few different levels. There is a playground for kids, an outdoor infinity pool and plenty of places to sit. The bottom level has an all-day restaurant with drinks and food available. Staff: The staff were super helpful and friendly, we were checked in promptly and even shown the exact place to follow the trail up to the Great Wall. The waiting staff were also really friendly. Food: We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. The food in the evening was seriously good, a great selection of dishes, with some local dishes available as well. Also, cold beer! Always a plus. The breakfast was pretty good but a little cold when it came out, we chose to have the western breakfast. The coffee was very good. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a trip out of the city. The owner also speaks some English which is awesome!

Great, the experience is beyond expectations

It's a very quiet hotel, and the room has a foreign atmosphere. I've eaten their Thai food several times, and it tastes really good! The prawns are very big, and the grilled fish is also very fresh. It tastes better than the grilled fish at many restaurants nearby~ The room is very warm at night, and the bathing area is also very unique. It is a small sunken area. There is a swimming pool in the yard, which should be more interesting in summer.

In order to avoid crowds, I departed from Beijing on the night of the 22nd and came to stay at the foot of the Great Wall. I contacted the owner in advance to ask about the route and arrived at the entrance of the hotel. The owner is a local and the proprietress is too enthusiastic, and the service is absolutely perfect! The dinner and breakfast at his house, the braised pork is absolutely perfect! Fat but not greasy, very healthy and hygienic home cooking, and watermelon after dinner! When I do laundry in the evening, I will also provide you with washing powder, which can be dried on the top floor. The boss will help you buy tickets in advance the next morning. PS: It will be cheaper for the boss to buy tickets. After breakfast, they will be delivered to the foot of the Great Wall Cableway. In the morning There are not many people on the Great Wall and it is cool! A pleasant trip to the Great Wall, everyone should hurry up and go to the foot of the Great Wall one night in advance to avoid the flow of people. You deserve to have the Great Wall in the morning.

Super nice homestay, first of all, the location is very easy to find, parking is also convenient, in the yard. Three-story building, modern style. The room layout is also very clean and tidy. There is a sun corridor on the third floor, and there is a large terrace connected outside. The beautiful view of the Great Wall should be seen from the east, and the sunset should be perfectly reflected from the west. There is a dining table on the large terrace where you can barbecue and skewers. You can camp to see the starry sky at night. The two days we stayed were a bit cold. My son experienced camping in the sun corridor. I feel perfect. The bedding is great, my mother is super satisfied and likes it. The owner and service staff of the hotel are very good. The boss is real and sincere. Before leaving, we have a lot of melons and green onions, all grown in their own fields. Will definitely go again.

The boss is very enthusiastic, but the waiter didn't show up. The boss remotely called the check-in, and he didn't see anyone except us when he left... There are double-bed rooms and standard rooms downstairs, and tatami rooms and standard rooms upstairs. Because of the layout, the bathroom is not in the room , I am very satisfied in every aspect, the decoration is very good~ Next time I come again, I will consider staying in the double bed room. The farm is large and there are many facilities for children to play. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery is particularly good, it is quiet, and the sound of the nearby water can be heard in the morning. I felt the slow life for three days. Close to the Mutianyu Great Wall, it takes only 12 minutes to walk there When we went back, it was inconvenient to take a taxi. The lady boss even called for us to go to the subway station. The company chose this B&B for a group outing. I really like the restaurant in the courtyard. It is spacious and bright. It is very comfortable for everyone to sit together. You can also sing and watch movies. It is very functional. The bedrooms of the homestay are also very clean and tidy, with complete facilities in all aspects. Especially the courtyard of the B&B has a lot of space, and the green plants grow very well. It is very beautiful to take pictures, especially the night scene, when the lights are on, it is very artistic. The landlord is also very warm and hospitable, and the arrangements are proper. I'm going to wait until the holidays to bring my family over to play.

It rained at night, but fortunately there is a corridor with a roof in the yard, which does not delay everyone's barbecue activities. Barbecue in the rain is also a very novel experience. The place to stay can order food. We arrived the afternoon before, and the next day we climbed the mountain path to the Zhengbei Building. We saw the endless and very steep Great Wall.
