The hotel is well-known, a little old, but the area and overall atmosphere are normal. The price/quality ratio is reasonable. An excellent restaurant overlooking the ocean and a very strange restaurant where breakfast and dinner are held (reviews on Google maps) confirm this. The beach is a little dirty, but this is not a problem of the hotel but of the local population in general.

Advantages: good service, very rich breakfast and dinner buffet, beautiful environment, great beach outside the hotel.

It was a wonderful short stay, wish we could have stayed longer... Amazing Taj Hospitality as always and wonderful location. Food variety and presentation was too good to be true, very serene beach location. They have variety of activities to engage all the guests..

The staff is so sweet and lovely! The kind of memories that we got to experience was phenomenon! Everyone was so attentive and were determined to give the best service! Me and my daughter had the best time at Taj bentota and we will always cherish the memories that we got to share with everyone there! A special mention to - Dilruk at the palm restaurant for making sure we had a fabulous time. Chef Dalip Singh is the best and the warmest chef ever, the kind of care he took was beyond expectations! Also a very warm mention to crew - Bimal,Chandana, asiri , nilusha , Durangi , hiruni , chef malinda , chef Priyanka, chef Priyantha. The reception staff was again the sweetest and the most affectionate. We"ll always cherish this time.

We, my wife & myself, were there in Taj Benonta Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka, for one Night. We have very Nice experiance. The staff under the leadership of Mr, Sibi Methew is very coordial, cooperative and helpful. The room is lovely and clean. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast has been delicious every day (best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka) Definitely recommend a sea view. (The view is incredible) walking distance from restaurants and bars. But the best part about the whole thing was the spa - I had a massage of Suba I enjoyed it that much I booked in again for the following day. Suba was fantastic and really professional and friendly. 100% recommend. Thank you.

Everyone has different standards. Somebody might feel that there were no issues to complain about, but that does not mean everything was perfect. There’s a big difference between good and perfection. Sometimes good is all we are looking for, and sometimes perfect is what we seek. Let me begin by saying that what makes this hotel so special are the people that work here, so caring,kind, and considerate. Yes, we had quite a few downfalls, but every issue we had was addressed and put right. This is down to a receptive GM who listened to us and made the changes. I have always found that if you have an issue, raise it and give the hotel a chance to put things right. Even though I can not rate this hotel with 5 stars, the luxury is missing, and the hotel is worn and tired looking. Little things such as cushion covers in the main buffet restaurant and pool sunbed covers which have lost their bounce and newness. I am aware that this is an old hotel, as with older properties, ageing is one of the problems. It needs a face-lift, but this is being done as we speak. Rooms are being refurbished, and the painting and decorating team are hard at it.I have no doubt that in a few years, they will reach their 5 stars. But I feel for the money charged, it is worth what you are paying for. I praise the team for all their hard work, their humbleness and devotion, and I would like to thank you for making our stay so memorable. ❤️
