Overpriced, front desk staff are highly inauthentic and disingenuous. There is a door code to be used after hours, which was given to us upon checkin. Halfway through our stay they changed the door code without any sort of heads up or information. Due to this we came back one evening and could simply no longer enter the hotel and the “emergency/night phone” was not in service. If it were not for another fellow guest who happened to have his window open, we as tourists would have been stuck on the street with no place to go at midnight. This hotel failed in its core competence as a Hotel, which is providing someone a bed to sleep in and that is unacceptable. Receiving a “sorry” and a breakfast voucher is borderline insulting.

Very special and beautiful house and location. Best view of the city of Bern and the Alps. Nice, but slow service. Food was ok but some was strange: the small portion of Calf's liver, in a thin sauce, was served with good Rösti, deep fried at the edges! The Vitello Tonnato was served as casually draped veal slices with hardly any sauce. And shame for not having a handicaped parking spot in front of the house!

A very attractive boutique hotel close to the city, easily accessible by public transport and by car. At every turn you can feel the proximity of the couple who run the hotel to the international jazz scene (this year's international jazz festival, which takes place annually in the hotel, is coming to an end this week). Our garden suite on the ground floor with changing room and bathroom was well maintained and invited you to linger in a stylish ambience. The service in the restaurant (and garden pavilion) was friendly and attentive, and the overall cost-benefit ratio was good. The hotel can be recommended without reservation.

The most beautiful place to stay in Bern. Lucious, peaceful park, spacious rooms, friendly staff and then the evening jazz performance made it extra special. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else! Very close and convenient to get to the train station and the city center by bus

Nice romantic hotel with a great jazz club downstairs. A perfect weekend get away. Bistro style restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were spacious with a slightly retro feel. Beds were firm and comfortable and everything was clean and fresh. The jazz tents with students performing alongside the ongoing professional jazz performers in the club make it a destination rather than just an accomodation.

Ideally located, charming, cosy, quiet, clean and a wonderful and large room. The view from the dining room on the alps dominating the old town of Bern is unique. The best experience we had in a long time. Highly recommended for a short stay in Bern.
