Upon arrival they request you leave a £20 deposit for the keys (make sure you pay by card so you have a record of the transaction), which they said they refund on checkout. DO NOT CHECK OUT WITHOUT GETTING THE DEPOSIT BACK. We had to leave early to catch our train. Placed the keys in their drop box. Waited a couple of days for the refund, but nothing. We messaged the hotel, they apologised for the delay asked for the bank details & said the refund would be in the account upon receipt of these.i sent the bank details immediately, but still nothing. A few more messages back and forth me asking where the refund is, them apologising saying 'it will be in today' each time. They have now stopped responding and still no refund. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and very tiny. You stepped into the bathroom straight out of bed. Also no mirror except a small one in the bathroom

I'd leave this hotel alone, tiny room. We have been chasing our £20 key deposit since may and still not received it, despite many promises to pay it. Con people, buyer beware. I would give this place a wide berth. Not enough room to swing a cat around

The staff went above and beyond for us. The rooms was very clean and the breakfast was delious. The price was very reasonable and the location was excellent for all the sights of Blackpool. Would highly recommend. Be back again soon. A big thank you

This is one of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed, dirty stained towels and bedding, shower black and mouldy, rusty soap holder and dust thing hanging from the extractor fan, curtains didn’t meet and missing blind slats,. No one from the property stayed on site overnight ring this number if any problems I didn’t feel at all safe, I know it didn’t cost a lot but never again and I’m not a snob, only positive free Wi-Fi and TV that worked.

I emailed hotel prior to leaving this review to give them a chance to explain and offer a refund, but no response. The room was tiny, single room at best. To use the bathroom, we had to turn on our sides to get in/out. Bathroom ceiling paint peeling, bathroom light not working (reported and not replaced/repaired). Physically see dust on all ledges, all within arms reach. Carpet was filthy, at least 20 years old, felt grubby.

Clearly this place used to be great but when I stayed it felt like it was closing down. Don't be fooled by the pictures of when it used to have proper owners. The main bar area is closed/lock up where they used to do breakfast. Our room just fit a double bed in but the flush was broken so we had no toilet....the person in charge said she knew but the owners won't fix it. Cobwebs and dust hanging from the tv (no remote so couldn't even use it) bed sheets clean but the throws had food/make up stains on. This place is really run down and dirty. I could have booked a 25 a night room elsewhere but paid 35 thinking it would be a bit better....wish I'd not bothered.

Only stayed one night. Seemed like a cosy family run hotel. It was one of cheapest booked through ***********. The room was a standard B&B room, very good shower. Sleep wasn't great we could here what we believed was the hotel next door from around 2 till 4 in the morning which didn't help. But what do you expect from a Saturday night. For the price paid can't complain.

Sonora park have just decided to cancel a booking I have for next weekend (bank holiday weekend). This booking was made 6 months ago and I have been given no explanation. Not replying to my e-mail and even having the cheek to send an automated e-mail saying they would waive the cancellation fee. Appalling customer service.

We booked 2 rooms for 5 friends visiting Blackpool to celebrate a special birthday. We were very disappointed to have our booking moved to week days with a message from the hotel stating they can no longer accommodate us on our selected dates. We are very disappointed as this was booked in advance and our trains were booked for the weekend too! When I tried to contact the hotel by phone, message and email I had NO response or explanation. Blackpool was pretty booked up and it was a struggle to find anywhere who could fulfil our booking. Communication is key to customer service, something this hotel has lacked! I would definitely NOT recommend.
