Calvia Hotels with Free Breakfast

I arrived at hotel on8/9/25 for a 7 night stay it looked good on advert but don't recall ever seeing it . I used to go to Santa Ponsa very very regular but been some years since there . Its location for a start is just superb . You're walkable to everything . Beach is a bout 200 yards away . Anyway nice walkway up to door and lovely reception area showing also lovely large dining area to right and again lovely large bar lounge area to left . Young lady at reception warm and welcoming and patient with me ( I have a little voice disability) . My room was on first floor so apart from taking my suitcase up I never bothered using the two lifts during stay . My room had two single bed together both good dimensions excellent toilet and shower room to all this and hotel itself lovely and clean . My room did not have sea view but the majority do . Believe me I had a good wee time on that wee holiday and the hotel made it . Thank you . Cheers. DONALD .

The rooms are elegantly designed in a classic Mediterranean style, with whitewashed walls, wooden accents, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Many of them come with private terraces, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine in the evening. While the décor is timeless, the hotel has managed to maintain a fresh and well-kept feel over the years. One of the highlights of every stay is dining at Las Terrazas de Bendinat, the hotel’s restaurant. Sitting right by the sea, it offers some of the best seafood dishes on the island. Their paella and grilled fish are a must-try, and the service is always warm and attentive. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a long, leisurely lunch with a view of the shimmering water. Wow, where to begin. My husband and I brought our 3 year old to Mallorca after moving half way across the world. It was our first break from craziness in a year, and we were lured by the direct flight from our city to visit Mallorca for a week after Christmas.  I found the Elba Sunset after doing a bit of research on where to stay on the island. First, and most importantly, I want to say an immeasurable thank you to the entire staff of the Elba. When I say, I could not have imagined how relaxing, joyful, kind, thoughtful, and generous the staff of this establishment could be, I mean it. They are all truly, truly amazing. (Apologies in advance if names are spelled incorrectly!).I specifically want to thank Marta, Elise, Adrian, Christiane, Henry, Paula, Pedro, the whole cleaning staff, and truly every person I encountered there, for making this vacation, one we really desperately needed, so wonderful. Our son Hugo was embraced and coddled by everyone he met, and was completely accepted and showered with love wherever we went in the hotel. Speaking of the hotel. We were there in the off season, and I cannot recommend it enough. The stunning location, the sun, the bright spacious room with a beautiful sea view, the pool (albeit freezing...not that my husband and son cared!), the spa, and the restaurant overlooking the water. 100 out of 10 for the people who make the Elba Sunset the magical place that it is. The hotel pool looks great, but it's really overcrowded. So many people reserve loungers with their towels early in the morning, by 8 a.m. there are no spots left, and it's obvious nobody is actually using them, just saving them. We booked a sea view room but were given a corner room instead. Looking at Ctrip reviews, I'm not the only one this has happened to, which makes me wonder if it's discrimination against Chinese guests. On the plus side, the room seemed bigger than in the photos. As for the sea view, we checked in late at night, so I couldn't be bothered to deal with it.

Location: The area is very quiet, which was lovely for relaxing. There's a bus stop just a minute's walk away, and buses run frequently, making it easy to get around. There are also a few local shops and restaurants nearby, which was convenient. Hotel Staff: The receptionists were absolutely lovely warm, welcoming, and caring from the moment I arrived. The cleaners were also friendly and did a great job. However, my room was located right opposite the cleaners’ cabinet on floor 4, and they would start slamming doors around 7 AM, which disturbed my sleep. Room Experience: My air conditioning wasn’t working when I first arrived, but it was fixed within 30 minutes by the generator technician, which I appreciated. Restaurant & Food: The restaurant staff on the last floor level especially the waitresses, were sometimes a bit too pushy, and a few would finish their personal conversations before serving( a bit unprofessional.) The restaurant food was a letdown. I ordered a pizza for €10, but it looked nothing like the photo and was highly disappointing. On the flip side, breakfast was a standout plentiful, delicious, and beautifully presented. I’ve never had such a generous breakfast at a hotel. The breakfast staff were also amazing and attentive. Well done to them! Facilities: The swimming pool was great, and if you love swimming in the sea, this is the place for you beautiful access and views. Solo Travel Notes: I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're a solo traveler looking to meet people. Most of the guests seemed a bit unfriendly, and as an ethnic minority, I experienced a few uncomfortable stares. This isn't the hotel's fault necessarily,.

Hotel looks amazing from first impressions but the rooms need much improvement. Very dated and worn. Cleanliness wasn’t the best our room had so many ants and the towels were raggy and old. The hotel has a lovely aesthetic in communal areas and the pool area is lovely too always was plenty of sunbeds available during our stay

Hotel was centrally located for bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk as well as the beach. Room was a good size and staff were friendly especially at the bar by the pool.

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are spacious with everything needed. The different swimming pool spaces are top. Mini golf courses, billiards, beach volley, really everything needed to spend a good holiday. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, and it is very comfortable and comfortable.

This is our 2nd trip to this hotel. It’s now on a B&B only ( we had half board last year) with the breakfast served across the road in a restaurant with the best views across the bay! Great selection of food and drinks.  The man on reception is super helpful and friendly even at 11.45pm!  Lovely small hotel with a small pool Comfy beds and the balcony is spacious with an area to dry towels etc.  The hotel offers towels for rent but we bought one for €5 in the supermarket next door.  Cleaned every day and cleaned well.  Lots of restaurants and shops close by.  The fabulous beach is a 10minute stroll, with a massive supply of sun beds ( €20.50 a day for 2 beds under a fixed umbrella and an attached safety box)  We will definitely go back to Playas del Rey

We stayed in a superior triple room, such a stunning view and the whole hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were super friendly and we felt very welcomed! The main pool is lovely, the only thing I would say is that I saw on the pool rules that you can’t reserve sun beds, yet many people left towels on them all day and you never saw them until late afternoon, which isn’t fair on everyone. Nothing against the hotel at all, but if you want a sunbed, you need to reserve one in the morning!
