AAida-Wonderful Stay at Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Grand Mall â Highly Recommended!
This was our second stay at Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Grand Mall and once again, it exceeded our expectations.
I booked through Trip.com as it offered the best rates compared to other platforms and the experience was seamless from start to finish.
We stayed from 23â26 May 2026 as a family of 3 adults and 2 young children (aged 4 and 3). This time, we booked a 1-Bedroom Executive and an Executive King with connecting rooms, which was perfect for both family bonding and privacy.
The location is excellentâdirectly opposite Grand Batam Mall, making shopping, dining and entertainment incredibly convenient. Our kids especially enjoyed Kidzlandia & Batam Zoo Paradise! The hotel is also next to Eska Wellness Spa where you can enjoy massages, hair treatments, manicures and pedicures.
Even before arrival, the service was impressive. I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp for a few special requests and the staff were professional, responsive and genuinely accommodating.
What we loved most about the 1-Bedroom Executive:

⢠Kitchenette with microwave & fridge
⢠Hot and cold water dispensers available at every lift lobby
⢠Kidsâ pool that our children absolutely loved

⢠Breakfast was awesome with a wide variety to choose from
This time, we were pleasantly surprised with the complimentary hi-tea, which made our afternoons extra special.
Every staff memberâfrom the front desk and housekeeping team to the chefs, waiters and bellboysâprovided exceptional service with warmth and friendliness throughout our stay.
Our family truly enjoyed every moment here and we will definitely be coming back again.
Highly recommended for families looking for comfort, convenience and a welcoming stay in Batam!

If nightlife and shopping are priorities, you may prefer Nagoya Hills, but for convenience and upscale service, Grand Mercure Batam Centre is a strong choice.

Best described as âluxury boutiqueâ, the management team and staff have perfected the art of hospitality here.
I and my partner can find nothing to fault, from the quality of the welcome to the beautiful pool to the plentiful, varied and high quality breakfast buffet.

SSURESH S/O MOHAMED SHAFEEULLAWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Aston Batam Hotel & Residence as a family and it was our second visit, something that already says a lot about our confidence in this property.
Once again, the experience did not disappoint. The location is excellent and very convenient, making it easy to get around and enjoy Batam without any hassle. The breakfast spread was truly impressive, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered well to both adults and children.
What stood out the most was the consistency in service. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Itâs rare to find a hotel where the standards remain just as high on a return visit, but Aston Batam Hotel & Residence has clearly maintained its quality without any drop.
Overall, it was another wonderful family stay, and we would gladly return again in the future. We will definitely be heading back to stay there again when we visit Batam next for our short getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a pleasant stay in Batam.

Breakfast and afternoon tea were included, which was a nice touch. If I visit Indonesia again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.

CChengzhen YuRecently stayed at Montigo with my family as it was my boyâs birthday celebration, and wanted to share our experience.
Upon check-in, there was some issue between their system and my booking through the app, which took more than 30 minutes to resolve. Luckily the place wasnât crowded, and my kids didnât get bored while waiting.
One thing I liked was the baggage delivery service from place to place. Requests can be made through WhatsApp and their response was pretty fast, which made things quite convenient.
Currently, one of the restaurants is under renovation, so we had lunch at Tiigo. Personally, I didnât really enjoy the food, but I have to give credit to the view â that was easily a 10/10.
As for the room, we had some issues with the bathroom design/drainage. Water in the bathing area didnât drain properly and would get trapped at one side of the bathroom. The bathtub water would also flow into the toilet area, making the whole floor wet, especially when my kids were playing in the bathtub.
It became quite slippery and my kids actually took turns falling in the bathroom, which was a little concerning from a safety perspective.
On the positive side, because it was my boyâs birthday celebration, they were very thoughtful and kind enough to prepare birthday decorations and a cake for him, which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel special.
Overall, despite a few areas that could be improved, especially the bathroom setup in our room, we still enjoyed the stay and appreciated their service. I would still come back again, but probably not choose the same room.

KKirvyI had a truly wonderful stay at Grand Eska Hotel Batam! The food was absolutely delicious be it the breakfast or the weekly Saturday BBQ and the hotel had such a vibrant atmosphere with events that made the experience even more enjoyable.
A special shoutout to Felix! Who went above and beyond throughout our stay. From recommending great dinner spots to even assisting us with purchasing gifts, his thoughtful service really made us feel well taken care of. Itâs rare to meet someone so dedicated and genuineâthank you, Felix!
What stood out most was the warm hospitality from every staff member we encountered. No matter where you go in the hotel, youâre always greeted with a bright smile that makes you feel at home.
Overall, I couldnât have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Grand Eska Hotel Batam for anyone visiting Batamâyouâll be well fed, well cared for, and leave with a big smile.

GGuest UserI'm giving five stars to the hotel driver, the service was absolutely excellent! You can contact the hotel the day before check-in to arrange a pick-up from the ferry drop-off point, and when you're ready to leave, you can also book a free ride from the hotel to the pier. It's incredibly convenient. We were so lucky to have this driver; he proactively helped us with our luggage, assisted us with our visa on arrival, and even filled out our immigration cards... The service was top-notch! The hotel environment is also fantastic. Everything about this trip was great, apart from the bad weather. I'll definitely be back!

AAnonymous UserI had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, the hotel is generally clean and the front desk staff are exceptionally polite and helpful. The room itself was tidy and the bathroom was in good condition.
However, we stayed in Room 426 and had a very difficult time sleeping. The bed makes a lot of loud noise every time you turn over, which made it almost impossible to get a good night's rest. If you are looking for quality sleep, I would recommend requesting a different room.
The worst part is I forgot to ask for changing another roomđđđ
