Founded in 1963, around the time of the Tokyo Olympics, the property first opened as “Hotel Nakamura,” the first hotel in Nakamura City (now Shimanto City).
Our inn is a small secluded retreat located on Castle Hill, the site of the former Nakamura Castle.
As you travel up the mountain road and pass through a tunnel of trees, you will discover a tranquil world apart from everyday life.
Overlooking the Shimanto River and town below, the inn offers an exceptionally peaceful atmosphere away from the bustle of the city.
We hope our guests can spend relaxing and unhurried moments in this hidden retreat.
Our wish is for every visitor to feel as though they have returned to their own hometown the moment they arrive.
To us, an inn is more than simply a place to stay during a journey — it is a comforting sanctuary where travelers and hosts warmly connect with one another.
"The hotel is on the top of the mountain in Weisong Park. If you have luggage, you need to take a taxi from JR station to the hotel. Because there is a steep mountain road, you can walk from the hotel to the bottom of the mountain in a few minutes with your bare hands. Several bridges over the Shimanto River can be seen in the hotel room. The room is a bit big, with a total of three rooms, the outermost one has six posts, the middle bedroom has eight posts, and the inside has four posts, which is relatively large in Japanese-style hotels. When the guest is about to go out, the waiter will prepare your shoes early, and when the guest comes back to the room, the waiter will cool the shoes before putting them away. The Japanese cuisine in the morning and evening is also good."
