Its not a bad hotel this, the decor is retro circa 1960/70's but the matching furniture does not make for a comfortable seat. However, the room was spotless, comfortable well provided for and well equipped, There are extensive facilities within the hotel. The problem was that we were there on a package tour for one night and the food provided as part of our deal was pretty awful. I say this because the restaurant looked good as did the menu but our meal would have been determined by the travel company as would the budget for it. Unfair to judge therefore.

We stayed here with a group of people, we were all part of an organised tour. The room was clean & the breakfast good. However the hotel appeared to need finishing, a large open hole in the ceiling of the bedroom & also the electricity suddenly disappeared (although it did return fairly promptly for us.) However on the evening of our second stay they were obviously hosting a private event in the only bar area on the twelfth floor. We were refused entry & when we returned to reception on the ground floor, Improvement we were told to go out or request room service. At almost the same time a group of Romanian guests were offered drinks, naturally we objected to this & as a good will gesture they reluctantly offered us drinks. We were then asked to pay for them to which we all refused & after several phone calls they finally accepted this. My husband & I had a pre booked transfer to travel to the airport the following day. When my husband approached reception he was told he would have to pay them 370 leu & there was no such thing booked!! Our driver arrived on time & assured us it was booked & pre-paid & duly drove us to the airport. This is not an acceptable service for a 4star hotel, possibly there may be a language barrier/ misunderstanding or it could be lack of training & knowledge or even dishonesty. I have been coming to this hotel in Bucharest for many years, due to its welcoming staff, clean and cosy rooms, excellent location and breakfast. However, this evening has been a first, because of an incident because of which I found myself in front of the reception desk, but without a room. Luckily, Mr. Popescu, the reception desk member of staff, has been most helpful and managed to provide a room. Not only that, but given my history with this hotel, which he recognised and respected, he gave me the best room possible. Thank you, Mr. Popescu, thank you, Mercure Bucharest City Center Hotel🙏.

I arrived day 4/12/2022 in the hotel and the room had hair and general dirt, I left this... The day after nobody cleaned my room, however, the cleaning girl came in to throw the “wash”, They threw a box of shoes just bought that was necessary for the sale. The next day I explicitly asked to clean the room, but they changed only the towels without changed my handles, which I had to ask more and more times. The pentle day they entered the room again for cleaning, which they did not clean or order the beds or the room but they stole a bag, I in good faith thought they had thrown it, and fell down on the ground, I went to the reception where they told me they didn't see any bag; I'm really shocked, it's very serious that they come to steal in the rooms. If the identity card had been inside it would have been a huge disorder for me to find me in a country I don't know and to return to Italy. The breakfast is Romanian, without the possibility of sweets or cornets, without the possibility of drinking a cappuccino or coffee, but only a watered coffee in the tea boiler. The staff are not unhappy, but I have no good words to describe them, given my anger, I am really disappointed, because the reviews were not bad.

When I arrived at Hotel Tranzzit there was absolutely nobody manning the desk. Granted, it was around 11pm, but the website lists no set check-in time limit (just that it begins at 2pm). I waited around 45 mins for someone to show up, and the person who did arrive was not very friendly or communicative. After some back and forth I was told that they had no record of my booking — however I had just received a phone call from them the day before (no message left) so they definitely had my information. The night receptionist showed me the personal information of everyone else staying there to ask if I was staying with those guests, which seemed like a breach of privacy. He asked if I had paid yet, and I said no, but he gave me the keys and let me into the room without paying. Very strange check-in experience. Overall, the room was not bad. Unfortunately I was in the room directly beside reception and you can hear absolutely everything, so I was awoken every day by the phone ringing or people chatting. The daytime receptionists were very friendly although did not speak English, and I made sure to pay for my stay in the morning. My room had one large bed, a closet, a bathroom, a window to an outdoor seating area, and a television — although I never tried the TV as you could hear everything from the lobby and vice versa. No hot water on the first day but the second day was fine. Soap and shower gel is included in the bathroom. No fridge or kettle in the room but there is a kitchen. Breakfast is not included but one coffee per day is allowed if you ask the reception to prepare it. Wi-fi is uncharacteristically spotty for Romania and would connect and disconnect every minute or so. The great thing about this place is not only price but location. You are only around 8 mins from Gara de Nord and there is a laundromat on the way as well. Lots of Mega Image grocery stores nearby and even a nice park. Metro, etc. are all located conveniently. It's very easy to walk to the Old City and the area with the Atheneum. Overall, I didn't hate my stay here. It was a bit awkward and strange but the daytime receptionists were very sweet and feigned being impressed with my almost-non-existent Romanian, hahaha. I would stay here again for one or two nights if I was travelling by train.

Fantastic hotel with great design, very quiet and relaxing. The hotel has a modern lobby and a stylish restaurant. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Excellent and very helpful staff. They treat their customers just like family. Definitely I will recommend this hotel.

The hotel is situated a few metres from the Gara de Nord railways station and underground station, so it is very easy to reach. The check-in procedure was fast, room clean with a large bed, toilet, shower, TV set, hairdryer etc. The door is card-operated, mine unfortunately didn´t work properly, so I had to go to the reception desk twice but the girl was really helpful. Breakfast is served in the adjacent building from 7 .00 to 10.30, quite a good range of things to choose from. Wi-fi connection strong and stable. Next time in Bucharest I will definitely try to get a room here again.

Hotel My Continental Gara De Nord provided a solid base for our four days of exploring Bucharest. A very convenient location, regarding the metro and railway station; and within a walkable distance (around 20 min) to the centre. The hotel was clean and safe; our room offered everything we needed and general ambience was pleasant. What deserves a special mention, is the restaurant staff at breakfast times (good-humoured and very professional) as well as breakfast on offer – plentiful, fresh and tasty. Also, a nice vibe there in the evenings with an attentive and lovely gentleman at the bar. Thank you for a positive experience, looking forward to coming back …

Through the application very quickly picked up the Holiday Inn, it is in the right location for me, paid accommodation, no problems in settlement. Hotel itself with excellent service, spacious room, acceptable food, noise insulation. Recommended. Price/quality ratio 👍🏻

In general, a good hotel, it liked that there was a transfer from/to the airport. It is convenient for filing U.S. visa documents (near). But in the center of the city far-to (in the morning of the traffic in this direction) ...
