Set in such a beautiful tranquil place in the New Forest, Burley Manor exceeded our expectations! Its picturesque front garden with deers running free, to its amazing front entrance of a stunning log burning fire enriched with a beautiful aroma in the air, topped off with a very warm cosy feeling. Could it get any better?... to then be greeted on the front desk by a kind, smiley, happy and funny lady by the name of Marylyn just made us feel at home right away. Once to our room, where its location was just perfect and easy access we entered into a very cosy bright place. The bathroom was gorgeous, its shower was grand and so relaxing and the big sink such a nice touch. Not a bad thing to say about the room... apart from we found it difficult getting out of bed in the morning as it was too comfy as we sleep so well 😀. Burley Manors breakfast, lunch and dinner was all just amazing. Huge thank you to the chefs and kitchen staff for the brilliant food. Lastly the staff were all so lovely and friendly! Keep up the amazing work. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much

A beautiful Manor in a superb location. After a long journey I stepped outside around midnight and was met by a deer. She strolled around for a while before slipping away into the darkness. Beautiful. For a peaceful stay in the Forest you can’t do much better than this. A good breakfast to start the day and staff are always great. Thanks to Annie for sorting us out.

Popped into the Burley Manor for a quick drink and fell in love with the place. We were served by the assistant Bar Manager who we found out was called Tiger. Great name, great service and great bar man. If you get chance to go there don't forget to call him Ben, long story and I'm sure he will explain. Place so great that we are going back thanks to Ben.

Sunday lunch with my wife and daughter. Service painfully slow, no pork so they recommended pork belly as a replacement. It was awful. All fat and zero taste. Also out of stick of the starter we all wanted. Alternative fish dish was so small if i were the chef I'd be embarrassed to serve it up. Cannot recommend.

All the staff were excellent, cheery enthusiastic and helpful. However having stayed here 10 years ago, it is now really shabby (though clean) and not good value for money.

This is a very pleasant hotel set in acres of parkland just outside Burley village. We stayed for four nights in a very comfortable ground floor room with undercover access to the central facilities. The large terrace and the bar area were particularly good, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Our problem was with the food. We often stay in hotels of this calibre but have never before come across such a disappointing dinner menu. We had a job to order anything we liked on our first evening, so the next evening ate out. On the third night, having lunched well with friends elsewhere in the area, we ordered from the "light bites" menu in the bar which was fine. On our final evening we had also lunched out so ordered "light bites" again, only to be told that they were not available after 6.00.p.m. Apparently our order should not have been accepted the previous evening, although the menu said nothing about a cut-off time of 6.00. We therefore had no choice but to eat in the dining room from the dreaded menu, but confined ourselves to starter and dessert courses to avoid the dire main courses. I ordered the gazpacho soup which was frightful. I was expecting a bowl of cold tomato soup, but instead got a few tiny tomatoes in a dressing. We were originally seated in the conservatory area which at 7.30 was almost in darkness, so we couldn't read the menu and had to be moved back into the main dining area. The light wasn't that much better there. The breakfasts were OK, though no toast was served so you had to make your own on a communal toaster which continually burnt mine. And the "fruit salad" was just melon and pineapple. Again, the self service area was badly lit, and the service was slow throughout. We would stop at this hotel again, but only if we were assured of a standard of fare befitting a hotel of this class. Until then we regret we cannot recommend it, unless you're prepared to dine out every evening.

If you are happy to pay over £500 for 2 nights for peeling walls, cold showers, no TV reception, hotel details on a QR code with zero WiFi or 4G, guest lounges inaccessible due to private functions and fire alarms no one responds to … this is the place for you!

We had a great stay, the grounds are beautiful and it’s a great location (minutes walk to Burley). The rooms were nice. The food was really very nice. If you are a dog owner, just be aware the dining area is in the bar with lounge chairs and tables (not higher dining chairs and tables). We would 100% recommend this hotel.
