This location is so perfect if you want to walk around the streets of Calgary. My room was a standard King it was the best experience I’ve ever had. They just had a moment of tech issues when it comes to claiming my breakfast voucher, but aside from that, the staff were so nice, they kept the room clean, the amenities were so worth it.

Hotel was good. It was quiet. Staff was friendly and consistently placed service first. Our main disappointment was the absence of a safe in the room. There was a safe deposit box available at the front desk but having to make trips to the front desk to use it was inconvenient. The restaurant services available at the hotel are good, especially for breakfast. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant because the menu didn't appeal to our tastes. Appreciated the happy hour at the bar and we were able to find a beer and wine to suit our tastes.

I have stayed at many hotels in Calgary but this is my go to unless my work books us. The staff here are great and service in general is awesome. I like the selection of ppv movies including one's still in theaters. The restaurant and lounge are nice as is the free airport shuttle. The best rooms are the king bed rooms on the 5th floor.

Our flight departing Calgary was cancelled for 24 hours so we were put up in this hotel by the airline. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, special shout out to Stacey in the lounge who worked so hard to make sure everyone whose flight was cancelled was fed and full of drinks! Also special shout out to the chef that night, he was alone and still managed to get all the delicious food out in a timely manner! These two really stepped up and made our rather gloomy stay much more enjoyable! The rooms were clean and comfortable, big soft pillows on the beds and you could control your own room temperature. The front desk staff also accommodated a late check out for us as we had so much time to waste the next day. Thank you to the staff, you’ve really worked hard to turn our trip around!

This hotel not only met our expectations but surpassed them! All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The guest room is well appointed with a very comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, large screen tv, comfortable chair, a desk area, and large windows with blackout drapes. Slippers and robe are thoughtfully provided. The bathroom has a marble like surround with walk in shower. The vanity area has a large top. Hairdryer and makeup mirror supplied. Water pressure is great and the toilet even has a bidet. The property has a charming outdoor garden/patio area. The pool temperature is warm. The hot tub temperature is great, but is a bit on the small side. There is a well equiped gym for guest use. This hotel is truly a gem!

I’m giving this 4 stars based on the Oasis Waterpark and our time spent there. Without that, I would score the hotel as a 3 (3.5). The hotel room itself was pretty standard. 2 queen beds, clean enough except for a dirty vent in the bathroom and a pre-existing stain on the carpet (see photos.) The air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly noisy and made for a rough night sleep on night 1. On night 2, I opened the window to allow for some “street white noise” and this helped to lessen the noises made when the unit turned on and off. Room was clean, housekeeping staff friendly and prompt to make our room up after night 1. I will note that the shower pressure was minimal, which made washing shampoo out of the hair challenging. The Oasis Waterpark is great. We missed the bulk of the Labour Day weekend travellers and had hours here to ourselves. Waterpark staff were incredibly kind. They also stay busy! Some observations from the Waterpark: - The slides are cleaned daily, which is great. It does result in minimal downtime for one/both slides for a bit, but I can appreciate keeping them clean. - The rest of the Oasis was kept clean, with staff frequently spraying things down. - I lost count of how many times water quality was tested for all bodies of water, great work. - Water in the main pool was pleasant, warm in the toddler pool, and a bit chilly in the pool where the water slides dump you. (Not a bad thing as it encourages people to move along out of the way quickly.) - Hot tubs were definitely hot! - It notes no people under 16 in the hot tubs but children were in them with their parents (we did the same, kids needed to warm up after the slides.) I see no issue with this if times are kept short. - Dry sauna was closed for the duration - The water slides are great but safety rules must be observed. We saw two injuries and both times it was when people were not following posted rules (tandem rides, entering the slide before the previous rider was most of the way down, sliding headfirst.) We will stay again so that we can visit the Waterpark.

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights labour day long weekend in a king bed suite. There were so many little issues that if management cared to address them, would increase their rating and make the stay for guests so much better. First, we booked our room for 2 adults and 2 children, and still had to call down for more towels as only 2 was provided. We also had to call for bedding for the sofa bed as none was provided. It's like they didn't even look at our preferences or booking information to prepare the room accordingly for us. Second, it was just chaotic and unorganized. There was no parking at all when we would return in the evening. No parking in the underground garage and no parking outside. For both nights, we had to go to the front desk at which point, the manager would try and tetris all the excess vehicles into whatever possible spaces she could find. The breakfast area was overcrowded and dirty. Overflowing garbage bins, coffee ran out by 9:30am, then ran out of napkins, forks, etc. Not well prepared at all. What also didn't make sense was the made to order station. What a waste of staff when they are already clearly understaffed. It seemed like an attempt to control the consumption of their protein selection for the day eg. bacon or sausage. On our first morning, the made to order breakfast was bacon and egg croissant breakfast sandwiches. On the 2nd morning, it was an avocado and egg mcmuffin with a side of sausage. They should just have these all premade and out along with the rest of the buffet. Then you wouldn't need someone to staff that made to order station and just have them help out with the rest of the buffet by ensuring that tables are wiped, garbages are emptied, coffee and utensils etc are replenished. Third, for a hotel at pretty much capacity that weekend, they had one working elevator. There wasn't even a sign for the broken one, but you can tell that it was out of service since there was no light. We ended up using the stairs since the wait time for the elevators was ridiculous. Also, it looks like they are trying to update a few things as noted by all the plastering and painters tape. Yet we didn't see anybody working on these issues and overall, it was just an eye sore. Honestly, unless things improve, we would not stay here again. On the positive side, the room was spacious.
KKathyWe loved our experience at The Dorian! Room was beautiful with so many details covered. Bathroom was huge (hard to find these days) and we especially loved the details in the wet bar cart. Service was friendly from check in to check out. We did not eat on site, but the location was in walking distance to our dinner date. Only negative was the cleaning staff talking loudly in the hallway at 9 am for about 20 minutes. I should have let them know their voices carried into our room, but instead didn't say anything...I regret that after the fact. All in all, we had a great time and will for sure book at the Dorian again!
GGuest UserThis hotel is a favourite for us. Location is North side of the airport, a little tricky to get into. One of those places you can easily see but how do I get there. Other than a restaurant on site, and a Tim Hortons close by, there are no eating establishments within easy walking distance. Check in is efficient, rooms are large and clean. Shuttle service is provided to the airport. Breakfast is available and with a very decent selection. The hotel itself is modern and very well kept.
GGuest UserWe better not Jed the hotel for a night to attend a concert. It would have been a long walk to the Saddledome and it was very cold so we took a taxi. It cost $15.00 one way which would have been the cost to park our vehicle at the Saddledome.
The breakfast in the morning was a continental breakfast with plenty of everything.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
Ffang1025The location is too bad to find, the hotel is on the highway side, I saw that I couldn’t get in. I took a few laps to enter the hotel area. The hotel is located in the airport development zone of the airport. There is basically no one. No car is sure. . The hotel is newly built, the price is low and the facilities are good.
GGuest UserMy family stayed here for one night upon our arrival in Calgary since our flight wasn't scheduled to arrive until 10 pm and we were heading out to Banff the next day. It was a good thing that we did as our checked luggage got delayed for a day and it took a until 1130 pm until we were able to arrive at the hotel due to the paperwork involved. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from baggage claim. Our first impression upon check in was that it was a modern hotel with good service. We quickly checked in and then came back down to try to grab some dinner. Last call at the restaurant was at 11:45. Only a limited menu was available since the kitchen had already started cleaning up, so we ordered a burger, fish and chips, a reuben, and a salad. After a 10 minute wait, the food came out and it was really good. Everything was cooked very well, and even my wife who doesn't like salad, wanted more salad. I would rate the restaurant as a place worth visiting as a standalone restaurant. The next morning, my kids had a complementary breakfast due to my titanium status which they enjoyed as well. My wife went down later and had the salmon and another salad which she ate every single bite of. The hotel is also located right next to the car rental counters so it was a 2 minute walk to get our rental car when we left for Banff. I highly recommend this airport hotel when you are in Calgary and be sure to eat at the restaurant. We're planning to stop in for a bite before our departing flight.
GGuest UserQuick overnight stay on transit with travelling and flights delayed. Great hotel and customer service. Good shuttle pick up. Very clean rooms and well maintained hotel. Recommend it. Friendly front desk. Would stay here again. Breakfast is included.
GGuest UserThis hotel is an older style and the decor, including the rooms, is very dated but our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a room with two Queen beds, a microwave, bar fridge and a comfortable chair and, although the hotel was quite busy, it was quiet. A couple of negatives - the rug badly needed replacing as it was wrinkled, the in-room air conditioning/heater was extremely noisy and for those who rely on their electronics, there was only one USB charger. Check in and out was quick and easy and all staff we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is rather isolated in a mainly industrial area and there is virtually nothing within walking distance. I felt the rate we paid was on the high side, especially when looking at the normal rates advertised, however, the location was convenient for us as we had an appropriate nearby.
GGuest UserA really unwelcoming receptionist was on duty when I checked in. Grumpy and used unfriendly tone when we discussed. The room was quite big, but what an awful filthy floor! The carpet on the floor was full of dog hair and generally smelly. The bed was ok, but it was not evenly leveled between left and right side. I almost fell of the bed on one side. The bathroom was ok with hot water. The wifi was strong. The breakfast was just a sandwich, a donut and a juice. That's all. Cheap stay for a hotel, but not for a demanding guest.
GGuest Userprofoundly disappointment and frustrated regarding our recent stay at the Ramada Limited Calgary. Unfortunately, our experience was so disheartening and distressing that we have made the difficult decision that we will never again choose to stay at a Ramada hotel. The conditions we encountered at Ramada Limited Calgary were simply unacceptable and fell far below the basic expectations one has when staying at any lodging establishment. The state of the guest rooms, bathrooms, and the overall property cleanliness was deplorable and posed serious health and safety concerns. Given the extent of the issues we encountered, we were unable to utilize the amenities offered by the property, including the absence of a suitable breakfast room. This lack of basic services only added to the overall disappointment of our stay. We had hoped for a comfortable and enjoyable experience, but our time at Ramada Limited Calgary was anything but. The experience has left us with a deeply negative impression and a firm decision to seek accommodations elsewhere in the future.
