The service is impeccable from the security gate to your suite. Friendly, efficient and professional staff. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. A very comfortable room. The room lacked cutlery and crockery. There was an AC in each part of the room but basic TV channels. The room also had a comfortable bed and great Eartherapy toiletries. A great stay overall.

Rooms are old and dirty! Staff are not welcoming or friendly ! Rooms look nothing like the online photos! Our room was so old and not clean! Bathroom was unhygienic- grout in shower/bath was disgusting and full of black mould! Bathplug even hung on old rubber band and all black and mouldy! Hot and cold water on basin mixed up! Can only use the kettle if you unplug the fridge! Beds are well used! We arrived in the evening following my fathers funeral and if we had a choice we would have left! Borrowed a hairdryer but need to supply your own adapter. Had to ask for another towel as only had one - towels are also well used and grey. No mirror other than the one in the bathroom - so difficult to dry hair and apply make up. Strange door in the bathroom which has access to the laundry - which also looks disgustingly untidy and dirty! I have travelled all over the world and this one is definitely the worst place I have ever stayed.

We had a 10 p.m. arrival, so booked our first night's stay here, and we are so glad we did. It is very close to the airport, and even closer to our following morning's car rental agency. We were also glad we took the hotel's advice and booked a driver to take us the short distance late at night -- only ZAR 130, safe and efficient. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, scrupulously clean, cozy room, comfy bed. Big shower stall. There is no lift/elevator, so the porter certainly earned his tip for carying our luggage up the stairs! And best of all was the buffet breakfast -- possibly the best buffet scrambled eggs ever, tasty sausages, hot porridge/outmeal, salad with pumpkin seeds and pine nuts; choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt; plus toast, croissants, pastries, tea, coffee.

Upgraded to a Loft suite. Excellent (once the air conditioner unit was explained). Staff great. Housekeeping a bit too eager. On site restaurant Liberty's seems slow and disorganized, even for South Africa and especially for a Hilton's. Free shuttle to V&A Waterfront every two hours. Walking distance to the Old Biscuit Mill (a Saturday morning must-do). Regular and reliable taxi service around Cape Town at reasonable rates, for drop off and pickup. Airport shuttle. Neighborhood was very safe Don't pre-book tours before you get here; Yasir and his team will take good care of you.

Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.

Overall a good experience at the hotel. Was greeted promptly by a staff member. Got a good room on the highest floor and the hotel was smelling of Indian spices (what a great way to start off). It was the slow season so two of the three elevators were operating. Did not wait that long. The rooms were small. Would recommend only staying about three nights. Great for people traveling business. Breakfast was good and had good seats. Wasn't crowded and did not need to come at a specific time. Laptop vault worked. The adapters did not. Luckily I got some Euro plugs which actually worked in the bathroom area (no where else). There is a USB port by the bed but those are not that quick. Wifi was good in the room but not that good in the lobby. I slept comfortably and it was quiet. Easy to get Uber. Would stay again (if I am on a short business trip). Tip: Do not exchange money at the lobby UNLESS it is an emergency. Also, know where you go and do not look lost.

I stayed at the aparthotel for the second time and found its location convenient and my stay comfortable. However, the building alarm repeatedly disturbed my sleep during the early hours of the morning, and the pillows were not comfortable, making my stay less pleasant this time. If these issues are fixed, I would definitely come back to stay again.

Cet hôtel est très agréable, à la fois compte tenu du personnel accueillant et prévenant, mais aussi car les chambres sont très bien aménagées, grandes et confortables. Le design est audacieux, avec une originalité dans l'ambiance et la disposition. La douche est un tube de 1.2 mètres de diamètre, placée en plein milieu de la pièce. Il est vrai que l'accès à l'évier et à la baignoire n'est pas optimum, mais il y a un effet WAOUH. Le lit placé face à l'énorme baie vitrée permet un sentiment d'être quasiment dehors. Suivant l'emplacement de la chambre la vue est belle sur Table Mountain Au niveau de l'insonorisation c'est très calme. Coté petit déjeuner, c'est plutôt bon, avec la possibilité de se faire servir une omelette (avec plein d'ingrédients si on le désire) cuisinée devant vous, ou d'obtenir des oeufs au plat ou oeufs brouillés. Puis bien sur tout ce qu'il faut pour un petit déjeuner continental. Le personnel veille toujours à ce que tout soit parfait. Pour finir vous êtes sur Canal Walk, donc tous les magasins sont à proximité (Grand Centre Commercial à 250 mètres) mais vous pouvez aussi vous balader le long du canal, ou bien aller prendre un verre sur les quelques terrasses autour. Il y a un espace Piscine surplombant l'hôtel ainsi qu'un espace Spa, pour ceux qui le souhaitent.

GGuest UserI've stayed there a few nights, and return again & again; even contemplating a long stay. The place is clean; the communal kitchen & lounge area is inviting, the in-house pub & adjoining balcony is cosy and gives the feel of a private party, above the bustle of Long Street below. Communal bathrooms are OK, kept clean. I love the many nooks & turns & corners of the old house and the creaking wooden floors. But the guests are what make the place feel like a home away from home -- an eclectic mix of local & foreign visitors passing through the city. There's a feeling & atmosphere of being in a backpackers in a foreign city, somewhere abroad, making one feel as if one is on holiday, somewhere away from home. I love this place! It's become my accommodation of first choice, for a party night or two in the city.

GGuest UserSimply spike! The coronation finish of our South Africa tour. Beautiful large rooms, with 2 large comfortable beds, even a window can be opened a little (a very large plus), so you do not necessarily have to turn on the air conditioning. Big bathroom, extra toilet, extra shower, bath coat and bathrooms are also available. Coffee machine and water cooker are available. There is nothing missing at breakfast, very great. The staff is very friendly and attentive, especially at breakfast. In the entire hotel lobby bar and breakfast area, temperature is not too much cooled. A pleasant smell of “White Tea” flows across the house. A small pool and a larger hall bath are available, both not used for time shortage. You can go to the Waterfront about 20 minutes. A wonderful stay, unfortunately only for 2 nights.

The bedroom was nice, the breakfast got all you need and the bathroom is big and no problem to share with just another room.

GGuest UserWe stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in Capetown. The staff were nice but the room was average. Our family stayed at the 8th floor and we could hear the music and noise every night and it lasts until the next morning. There was no place to sit nor was there a table to write on. The worse thing for me was the bathroom. There was only a bath tub. No shower facility and no drain on the floor. It was difficult to take a quick shower because the whole bathroom floor would be full of water. It is also a challenge to step into and off the tub because it was too high and with the floor wet, it would be slippery. Hope they improve and provide better solutions to this problem.

GGuest UserI wouldn't rate any less, we had a a lot of challenges and the stress to get there through planning was difficult but the way we were acknowledged treated was absolutely amazing. Ashley was amazing and the hospitality left me and my soccer academy so happy. I wouldn't book anywhere else not only the service but the facility and the location. The winners stop should be the nickname. We thank the staff and the Ashley for an amazing break.

What's even more remarkable is that these snacks are not only delicious but also cater to vegan and gluten-free preferences.

GGuest UserRoom and especially the bathroom were small but adequate for a few nights. Breakfast in the attached restaurant was good with many options and an omelet station. There is a market that sets up every day in the square directly across from the hotel, however, this was not an issue. Our room did not overlook the square but overlooked rooftops. The bottom half of the window was frosted to block the rooftops. The rooftop pool and pool area is small. The location is the best reason to stay here. With your back to the market, walk down Longmarket or Shortmarket street to catch the Hop on Hop Off bus on Long street or continue to Bree Street for restaurant options including Hacienda (Mexican obviously), Burger & Lobster (limited but excellent menu and great bar). SCAM One evening, when we were heading to Bree Street, we were stopped by a gentleman with a security lanyard telling us the street ahead was closed because they were filming a movie. We could pass if we scanned a credit card into a wall mounted device. No charge but they need our names to protect the filming equipment. We declined and went up another street to the restaurant. Road not blocked, no filming equipment. We were glad we were suspicious. Amazing how you could be duped by a security lanyard.

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simon’s town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simon’s town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.
