Cambria Hotel Charleston Riverview

Great place! Very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice! The room was clean and was stocked with everything! Our room even had a Keurig  and a microwave plus a mini fridge. We had the top floor and the corner room which we have never had before but the view was amazing!

Immediately greeted at the front desk by Katrina, who was super helpful giving us ideas and suggestions for places to eat during our stay. Our room was very clean and large. Comfortable beds and pillows. Convenient location for our itinerary while in Charleston. Highly recommend.

The hotel advertised on AirBnb with an age policy of 18. Confirmed and paid for the reservation in advance. When I arrived to check in, the hotel refused to allow me to check in due to being under 21. When I brought to their attention I had booked through AirBnb and it clearly stated a check-in minimum age of 18, I was informed the hotel had "changed their policy" since the time of my booking (I did not receive any notice of their policy change). The hotel management, specifically the "AirBnb co-host" Jason, would not reimburse my money and told me I would need to contact AirBnb to mediate on by behalf, but to "please know that all refund requests are subject to owner's approval. You can probably see where this is going. So, I contacted AirBnb as suggested and, of course, it was too late to cancel through AirBnb since it was my day of check-in, but they acknowledged my issue. True to form, they would not reimburse me without contacting the host for approval. Guess what? The host (Jason) was the same person at the hotel who refused to return my money to begin with and he denied the request from AirBnb. In other words Jason and Cambria gave me the run around and took my money. Long story short, I have no idea if the accommodations are any good, but I can assure you the people in charge lack integrity and did not deal with me honestly or fairly. If anyone with any authority at Cambria would like to make things right, they are welcome to contact me. I can share my correspondence from their "co-host" Jason for confirmation.

Right over the bridge from downtown Charleston. The prettiest parts of town may be the marshes outside of town, anyway.

Great hotel and I would stay again. It looks new and rooms were clean. Its a quick drive to downtown Charleston. I was only disappointed in breakfast.

Paid for a suite and wish I didn’t. The air conditioning unit in the living room made a horrible noise. There was food remnants on the sofa and hair in the shower. The water does take some time to get hot. My sheets were stained. Not horrible or the worst I’ve experienced but for the money there are nicer options in better areas.

The staff wasn’t very friendly but the room was great very comfortable but way overpriced for what you get. Had to drive everywhere not close to anything no restaurants or stores. Not sure why the price was so high with absolutely no amenities no continental breakfast or anything.

Great property, close proximity to Charleston & all surrounding islands !
