OYO Unicorn Inn

As previously mentioned the expiry of the lease means the tenant is no longer on site, he turned up promptly when we phoned though. Just us and a painter in the building - room was delightful, clean and comfortable. SO needs a window blind though ; I was awake at 4.40 watching an amazing sunrise over pretty Deddington (think I may have preferred an extra three hours sleep)!

The room environment is good, the restaurant waiter is very bad, the drink is not forced to take it out or lose it on the spot, we can't put it away, we can't drink it, we have come 2 times in a row, and then the meal has not been finished. I have been asking for the meal. The whole restaurant is British. As far as we are a table of Chinese people, people feel discriminated against. It is obvious that there are emotional treatments. There are several hotels of the same type around. This hotel is strongly not recommended.

On Sunday, 23rd June I had organised a luncheon to celebrate my husband's and sister's 80th birthday celebrations on the same day. There was 13 of us and they all thoroughly enjoyed their choice of menu. They loved the venue, so smart, light and airy in the conservatory dining room. The staff were exceptional, very polite, very, very helpful and especially the Waitress and Barman . For this occasion I had also booked the Ten Pin Bowling Alley for 2 hours in the afternoon and to my delight all the oldies were up to having a go and there was such fun and laughter and competition against the two sides. It was such a wonderful day and it will be treasured for ever. I must also mention Emma on the front desk who has been a real star helping me organise for this special event. I thoroughly recommend The Heyford Hotel.

Stayed here for 1 night (fri-sat) on the 23rd Feb. Reception staff were helpful with car park check in, and the booking in process was very easy, knowledgeable and quick. Key information was given regarding health and safety (fire exits etc) The reception area was clean and tidy as was the the rest of the communal areas on the way to the room. Upon arrive to the room, the room was warm, welcoming and inviting. Plenty of clean towels, the bedding was clean and fresh and the bathroom had been cleaned to a very high standard. I had requested something prior to arrival to be put in the room which the hotel staff had no problem in doing. A massive shout out to 2 very helpful members of staff in the housekeeping department that I believe helped with the request. I believe their names were ”steph” and ”charlene”. It's very clear the hotel is well looked after by staff and cleaned to a very high standard by the housekeeping staff. The reception is open 24 hours a day so you can go and come as you please. Check out was by 12 which is plenty of time to wake, shower etc before leaving. And whilst thinking about the shower......that is a very good shower system in the rooms. Hot, powerful and amazing water pressure!!! Always a win when visiting hotels. A very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again in the future. Staff brilliant, rooms brilliant, location brilliant and very quiet considering that the M40 is so close and the services are next door. 10 stars all around!!!!

Was perfect for the use we needed. Spent a day in Bicester village, hotel is 2 mins from the shopping village. Very nice inside and was a great place to relax after shopping. Only bad part is having to pay for parking.
