Receptionist in the morning was pleasant had issues in the hotel had to check in later . I asked for 2 double rooms which wasn’t actioned . When checking in later in the day after 4pm a different receptionist gave us 2 double rooms however she was not knowledgeable about the area nor if dinner was from the menu or buffet as she didn’t work in that department ! Miserable girl, hospitality definitely isn’t her forte . Breakfast starts at 8am however the hot breakfast wasn’t laid out till 8;30 and missed our train because of this as we had to rush . It’s imperative breakfast is served at the time stated . Staff were apologetic however this has happened before . Hotel very central and generally very pleasant stay . I would stay again .

Lovely hotel, polite and friendly staff, ample parking, excellent location in the heart of town. Only negative is the stains on the bathroom walls that could easily be removed with a little more attention to detail and the cold tap hardly let out any water. Unfortunately there wasn't any real ale available whilst we were there thus stopping us from enjoying that facility.

Worth the upgrade to the four poster room as it was very spacious. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. They had a large party for dinner which caused a long delay for our meal but staff worked hard to deal with it. Enjoyed the swim in the morning and buffet breakfast. A suggestion for hotel would be to upgrade the orange juice for breakfast.

All round this was a great stay. Good value with a wonderful afternoon tea. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast, which was included, was very nice. Parking was also included. We were attending an event nearby and the hotel was a perfect location for us.

Popped in here for Brunch. Credit where credit is due. Brunch was amazing, good quality and perfectly cooked. Staff also very attentive and accomodating. Would highly recommend a visit especially with a new lunch and evening menu having been launched.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Chippenham. The hotel staff were great and looked after us very well. Unfortunately we had booked a family room but when we arrived we found that the family room was up some stairs which I could not climb because I am disabled and in a wheelchair, but the reception staff were lovely and changed our room for a downstairs disabled room and they put up a z bed for our daughter. The evening meal was nice and so was the breakfast the next morning. Overall we had a lovely stay at The Angel.

Had a one night stay here whilst travelling to London. Lovely, clean and relaxed hotel. Good food and friendly staff. Location was great, right in the heart of the town. Pool was an added bonus. Lovely bar and lounge. Had beer garden also. Would definitely stay again.
