Hotels near Urban Balcony, Chongqing

This hotel location is superb considering that it is situated right in Hongyadong itself. It is also the first hotel in my years of travel whereby the reception is at the highest floor and we have to take the elevator down to our room. Imagine how unique is that. Room is spacious too and the view is splendid. Cleanliness can definitely be improve slightly but overall is a very good hotel.

Very good location, 300m to MRT. Very beautiful sea view with full Windows. Bathtub fronting window, a very different experience for relax and enjoyment. Counter staff in-charge Ms 菜菜仔is very friendly with smiling face attended to me at 2am. Vert smooth transition from small room to big room. Request granted for last day check out at 1pm. She gave me a package of 麻花。Thank you for the good service.

Yi'an Hotel is located near Exit 9 of Xiaoshizi Subway Station. The transportation is very convenient, whether traveling or looking for food. The room is clean and tidy, and the modern and simple wabi-sabi style design is in line with the aesthetics of young people and is very touching. The projection equipment is a highlight, and you can enjoy a theater-like experience while lying on the bed. The overall atmosphere of the room is comfortable and the details are carefully designed. The most important thing is that the price/performance ratio is extremely high, and it feels like it's worth staying. Suitable for business or leisure travel, I will stay here again next time!

Excellent location cos the hotel is very near many ”Instagrammable places” such as Hongyadong and Raffles City. The hotel rate is also value-for-money cos the hotel room is clean and the housekeeping service never fails to meet my requests. The only unpleasant experience (not due to the hotel itself) is QianHe Hotel shares the same building with other hotel brands and offices, so waiting for the lifts during peak hours can be annoying cos the lifts are always ”FL” (full load) or always packed with patrons. On a positive note, the hotel is very sweet cos they will give you a little gift pack as a token of appreciation when you check out. This is certainly a pleasant surprise to me.

Walling Hotel is near to many attractions like 戴家巷, 洪崖洞, 解放碑, 魁星楼, etc. Mrt station 临江门 is within walking distance (Line 2 - green color) - less than 5 mins walk. Hotel provides daily meal coupons for redemption between 7am-8pm. Few varieties to choose (noodles either spicy or non spicy, wan ton, fried egg, mantou, soya beans drink, porridge). Of course water bottles, tea bags, toiletries are replenish daily. Staff are friendly and helpful. Special appreciation to staff number 11 & number 3. Small pack of snacks (麻花) given as souvenir.

Location was great. Right next to the metro station, although the entrance is a little hard to find the first time. Very close to a lot of the main attractions. I had a river view and it was great, but a weird choice - the large window is in the bathroom. You can barely see it from the room itself, but when you're on the toilet you're on full view to the world unless you close the curtains. However, I was pretty disappointed by this hotel. From most of the other reviews, you get the impression this is newly renovated and very clean. It's not. There's black mould all around the sink and on the wallpaper behind the sink. There's orange mould in the shower, the grout work in the shower is badly cracked and missing in places, so who knows how much leaks to the floor below. There's weird stains on the curtains. As a guy with very short hair, travelling alone, when I find several long black hairs on the floor, I know they're not mine and the place wasn't cleaned properly. They charge 30元 to use slippers, so I decided to use my socks. Bad decision. Within a day, they were the dirtiest I've ever seen socks. The projector (right above the bed) has so much dust on it, it's obviously never been cleaned since it was installed. The place is well overdue a deep clean. But that's not even the worst of it. Fundamentally, there is no sound proofing at all in this hotel. The room door allows quite a lot of light in from outside, so obviously it's not going to be very soundproof. But this was BY FAR the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. People getting food deliveries at gone midnight the first night, the second night was relatively quiet. The third night, starting at midnight the couple next door were ”enjoying themselves” and you could hear everything. I presume so could reception, as there was loud music coming from that direction but I didn't go out to investigate. That stopped at 12:30, and a bit later so did the music, and then at 1am, that same guy started watching TV very loudly. At 1:20 I sent a message to the ”24-hour front desk” Wechat to complain. That didn't get answered until 8:30 the next day, when I got a terse message basically saying ”well done! you handled that well.” What I'd done was at 1:35 when reception still hadn't done anything, I knocked on the door and asked him to turn it down. The next night, he was at it again - TV until 2am, but a bit quieter this time, but there was still no sleep opportunity because the room next door was watching TV until 4am. And just to make sure you can't catch up sleep in the morning, the cleaning Ayi starts banging around at 9am. Remember, you can hear absolutely everything anyone is doing in this place. The wifi is right above the bed too, and has bright lights on all the time. Oh, and facilities. I chose this hotel over others in Chongqing because it advertised guest laundry. I asked about that - she said it was on floor 31. Well the lift that services the hotel doesn't go to floor 31, so you have to go all the way down to ground floor and catch a different lift back up again. When I got there, it seemed to be a music recording studio or something, not a hotel, and they were very surprised a hotel was sending anyone there. When I explained some more, eventually he showed me to the room with a washing machine - but it was just that - a basic washing machine, with no drying facilities, no space to dry things, and seemingly they weren't really sure if I was allowed to use it, so in the end I didn't bother and had to re-use clothes for a second day during my stay in Chongqing. As I said, the location is great, but there are several other hotels in this building, each having a floor. Personally, I'd try any of them before this one.

The location is superb, right in the middle of the city with metro system right beside it. The hygiene is tiptop with all the staff being polite and helpful. I really like the tea and supper provided by the hotel.

Our 2 duplex suites are located on the 35&36 floor respectively with a great panorama view of the rivers. There's a great food court and the #5 line metro station located in the basement- making the hotel easy to reach and excellent for any kind of travelers. Hotel is walking distance to the Jiefangbei Square, the Raffles Square; and close to many local attractions and restaurants. The suites are clean and well appointed; one even included a treadmill and an exercise bike. We highly recommend the hotel for family and business travelers. We will definitely stay here again for our future Chongqing visits 👍👍👍👍👍

Location: I want to give 10 stars for it. 八一好吃街 right downstairs. We arrived at around 11-12midnight, the hao chi jie is closed, but can still found nice food as the night market is right opposite. Service: very friendly services. Check in time take a bit longer. We check in on 1st day 11.30pm and check out on 2nd day 8am. They allowed us to leave our luggages as we are coming back to the hotel on the 3rd day night again. Breakfast: Extra breakfast can be purchased at 50% off which is about 29RMB. Many choices and very nice herbal tea egg. Room: Spacious room. We combined both bed as we are family of 4 with 5yo and 1yo. The bed is big enough. No smoking smell is a big thumbs up! Downside : Share lift with another hotel. But not really big deal.

We were warmly greeted at the front desk beautiful and gentle speaking lady 夏木 who added us in WeChat and went the extra miles guided us during our trip. Hotel is convenient to many places with walking distance and daily amenities were changed . We love the washing machine and the style which feels like an apartment homely vibes. The high storeys allow you to enjoy the view of Chongqing and mesmerised by the city charm.
