A business hotel in the city center with a great location, with supermarkets, restaurants and shopping centers nearby. The facilities are average, but worth the price. One disadvantage is that it is located on the main road and is very noisy at night. Wa people go to bed very late at night, wake up very early in the morning and speak loudly. There is no possibility that they will noisy other people's consciousness. I heard someone talking loudly until 3 o'clock in the evening, and it was very noisy outside at 6 o'clock in the morning. It is not suitable for travelers who like to sleep quietly at night. There is also a poor hotel service. There is a guest reception room downstairs in the hotel for check-in and check-out matters. It says that there will be reception from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and call for service the rest of the time. As a result, I did not check in at 4 o'clock in the evening, there was no one in the reception room, the door was locked, and no one answered the service phone, so I could not contact Ctrip to solve it. The hotel called me until a quarter past five in the evening, saying that someone was there and I could check in. Checked out in the morning and asked the receptionist. She said that someone would start reception at 8 o'clock in the morning, but she didn't come to work until 8:30. I have also stayed in several hotels in Port Vila, and this one has the worst service.

We had a lovely time at Sunset Bungalows, everybody was so friendly and welcoming, a special shout out to Maria, who worked every day from cooking to reception from early in the morning to late at night, the cleaning lady and the night security man were also so lovely, he waited with us at 4.30am for our transport to arive to the airport. The rooms are nice, bed comfy and a beautiful outlook when you open the doors to the lagoon, with the water lapping up the front, the whole resort is looking a little tired, but after being hit with over 2 years of COVID and 2 cyclones this resort is still trying to recover, the only downside for us was the lack of choice in food, but was not really an issue we just got a bus into town and ate in there. The town is also still recovering a lot of places are still closed or have shut completely but all in all if you want a nice quiet place with great service and beatuiful people with clean comfortable rooms then you will not be disappointed with Sunset Bungalows.

Staff are really friendly but you need to be aware No WiFi in Rooms /Restaurant is closed so other than ”no choice breakfast” no food or snacks are available. Breakfast 2 toast 1 Butter 1 egg half a bacon rasher I tea bag and 1 Nescafe sachet in room Kettle but no fridge or Microwave so no milk or sugar. No Toiletries Room only cleaned on demand Photos are misleading

The hotel is on the island, the room size is acceptable, the health is good, the hotel service is very poor, such as cleaning the shampoo area in the room during the day, returning to the reception desk at night to reflect, promised to send, no one to send in the morning, buffet breakfast variety is small, The two people spent about 150 Australian dollars for the buffet dinner. There were few varieties, especially pit people, and they asked for an hour late check-out at the front desk. They needed to pay separately and were too inhumane. The island environment is acceptable, there is a swimming pool, the beach is particularly small and poor, the hotel price is outrageous, not worth recommending

We picked Erakor Island Resort for our secret elopement. We wanted a low fuss wedding and relaxing stay and Erakor handled everything and offered a great package. Beautiful location, wonderful staff, plenty of activities, great food, awesome room, I can't fault it. The fact that you basically have this whole island to yourself (and other guests) is so cool. Don't be daunted by the ferry, it's so easy to get to and from the mainland and the staff will take good care of you mo matter where you want to go. We travelled just after Vanuatu reopened to tourists and realised we had struck gold after speaking to other travellers. We met SO many people who were either staying at other locations and switched to Erakor because they weren't happy with their previous hotel, or were staying at another place and travelling to Erakor every day for the restaurant because their hotel didn't offer good food. When we arrive, the country's tourism industry seemed to be on a soft restart, which is completely understandable given it was shut down for a number of years, but you'd never know it with Erakor. They were back up and ready to go as if they never stopped operating. Getting married there was a dream and Erakor will forever be close to our hearts and part of our story. 100% going back!

Pros - The resort is in a great location with the 2 restaurants onsite offering delicious meals, and a convenience store across the road. The snorkelling /swimming at the beach was nice, but need high tide to do so. Also need high tide to use kayaks, so this has limitations. Having a washing machine to use was super handy and each room has a clothes airer. Laundry powder is supplied which is also handy. Each room has an umbrella in case of rain. Very thoughtful! The ladies who service the rooms each day do a fabulous job ! There are a few bus drivers who seem to be always at the entrance of the resort to take you wherever you like. The staff at the resort are super friendly. The air conditioner works really well 😃 The WiFi was perfect, no dramas with using it or it dropping out. Cons - There was no smoke alarm in our room. The bracket was there but not the actual alarm. The shower in our room had a significant leak, requiring us to put a bathmat down to catch the water seeping out otherwise most of the bathroom floor would be very wet. There was some “silicone” of some sort as a repair in the corner of the shower but obviously the issue was not fixed. The hot water was hit and miss. The resort does state its run by solar and if it’s been a cloudy day and the water isn’t warm enough you can ask for it to be boosted, however, once your in the shower it’s kind of too late to do this. The breakfast was delicious, but it is a limited menu and if you want anything different/extra you have to pay, including if you’d like a second coffee . Breakfast is allocated to 1 drink ( hot or cold) and 1 of the meals on the menu. It is not a buffet situation. We used the air con every night as it was quite hot and muggy. The aircon gave the room a musty smell which we were not aware of until we left the room and came back in later. It was quite strong but you can’t smell it at the time. The resort is right next to a village. The locals in there are quiet, however, like other villages, they do burn stuff (rubbish) every night /day so when this occurs the air smells quite smoky - not ideal for people who suffer with asthma /respiratory issues as it’s quite strong when it is happening being right beside the resort. Overall we did enjoy our stay, it’s a nice spot with easy access to town and attractions..

Service is very warm, very good!

We stayed at 5 different Resorts in Port Vila Vanuatu and this was by far our favourite! Immediately when arriving in the lobby you will be wowed, the location and resort is incredible. The staff are so friendly and the food is fantastic. There are so many on-site facilities and water equipment to take advantage of and the Lagoon is a great place to swim or even take a boat ride through. We didn't want to leave, this place is definitely a little haven and wr are 100% staying here next time we're back in Poet Vila. Thank you Warwick Le Lagoon, you are SUPERB to say the least, love how much the people here really value the guests. You feel appreciated and welcome here and it's great 👍 😁

We stayed here our first three nights after arriving in Port Vila and LOVED it. Highly recommend paying the bit extra to have a waterfront bungalow - we had #6 (two bedrooms) I think and it was just heaven having the water lapping just 15 steps out from the back sliding door. Location was so peaceful and about 5 drive into the centre of Port Vila. The bungalow itself is quite basic but very clean and a great hot shower, tv, lovely table and chairs at the back overlooking the lagoon, and temperamental wi-fi which worked better by the pool area. There was everything we needed in the kitchen (including microwave and coffee mocha!) to be able to self-cater which is handy where food and eating out in Vanuatu is pricey. You are a mini-bus taxi ride away from supermarket/Port Vila town centre so worthwhile picking up essentials such as drinks, beer, milk on way there if possible, to tide you over until you can do a bigger supermarket trip. (Note that supermarkets stop selling alcohol in Vanuatu from 11am Saturday through to Monday morning.) Manager, Chris, was incredibly helpful to us and helped make our stay very enjoyable. We went to Three Pigs restaurant (1km) our first night and second night when we had a car we drove to a Thai restaurant Chris had recommended. The pool is inviting but quite small and was cold whilst we were there, but there are kayaks to borrow and all sorts of snorkelling gear, reef shoes etc that we didn't need but could be handy. This really was a lovely place to begin our hols, enjoy the lagoon views and slide into the island vibe.
