Hotels near Buchheimer Pfädchen in Cologne

We (mother with 2 children) have stayed here 1 night between visiting Phantasiapark and the day of Cologne. Prima price, a net (small) room and a breakfast for €10.50 pp. The breakfast was very wide, the room for breakfast was very uncomfortable but further good. Staff was very friendly. No congestion of the aircraft (it is near the airport) or other traffic due to very well-isolated windows. Hotel is located 15m drive from the centre of Cologne but 10m walk you can also take the train and leave your car free of charge at the hotel. I'll be a recommender for one night.

Hotel came into the years, rooms clean, reception friendly, breakfast buffet varied, for everyone with. Wellness area small, swimming pool needs a renovation, little invited, therefore not used by us. Hotel is a good piece from the old town, but accessible with public transport. Hotel offers a parking, which is with the biggest critical point. Parking cost 13€/night. On arrival day we could park without problems, Saturday and Sunday the parking was completely overfyld, some parked in second row and across the area. At the reception where I could park for my €13, we were allowed to stand before marked garages. Maybe you shouldn't give any more parking tickets if the area is so overfyld. All in all for a short stay is okay.

The hotel is located in the airport area. In fact, it is only 2 stops away from the exhibition hall and 3 stops away from the main railway station. The environment is very quiet, which is different from the many planes taking off and landing around the domestic airport. Another thing is to ask me for CITY TAX, my Voucher clearly says CITY TAX INCLUDE, and when I live in other cities in Germany, I only need to fill in a form that is because of the business coming to Germany, and I can exempt CITY TAX. This The reception is obviously not understood. Moreover, the English level is not good and communication is difficult. I gave her my exhibitor ID and asked her to copy it, but nothing else... We had to check in very late (about 02:30), but that was not a problem at all. The service was very friendly and helpful. We had booked a room for 3 people over Booking.com that was unfortunately no longer available on site. We were fully unproblematic and without additional costs ”distributed” to two Comfort double rooms and received another drink from the house bar for free as an excuse. The rooms themselves are very well equipped and comfortable. The included breakfast was the “hammer” and very rich and varied. Of us absolutely recommended. A parking house is right next to and has not cost us anything.

The front desk was very attentive and explained in detail the difference in city tax between tourism and business travel. The breakfast is rich and the room is good. The only drawback is that the location is relatively remote and shopping around is inconvenient. It is suitable for business travel.

The hotel is quite central in Cologne. It also has probably given the possibility to breakfast directly in the hotel the reservation.
