Booked this place just because of the spa. Made my way there from the UK and visited Cologne as it is a beautiful place. Got to the hotel to be told that because I booked via Trip.com I need to pay extra for using the spa. Absolutely a joke. The place looks run down also and very expensive. Will never stay here and would not recommend under no circumstances.

I could give ten points for service. I would have chosen the hotel with the thermal baths to celebrate my birthday there with my family. We arrived early but were still allowed to check in. In the restaurant we were served in a very courteous and friendly manner, and when they found out that my birthday was coming up, we even had to decorate a table extra. All in all, the food was very good, the thermal baths were sensational. We had a wonderful time and thank you very much.

Our second time here - it’s an old school great German spa hotel, with the exceptional sauna complex (which includes rituals every hour from 13.00). It’s dated at parts but that’s compensated with the very fair value.
The breakfast was plenty, the service kind and welcoming and the room large and clean. We will come back.

"4 star hotel with thermal baths"! Then you prepare for a weekend full of enjoyment. But unfortunately that was not what we expected. The room was small and in OK condition. The bathroom could use an upgrade and the shower and shower head were full of limescale. We wanted to go to the spa area but there were no bathrobes in the room. Room service didn't want to bring us any so we had to get some ourselves from reception. There was a surcharge of €8 per person... in a spa hotel that should be included! No, nothing was included here. Not even water to drink in the sauna. Breakfast also cost €20 extra and it wasn't worth it! A mediocre breakfast buffet in a very sad room with no windows and radio advertising at full volume.
Room service brought new towels but didn't make the bed at all! I've never experienced anything like that in my life. Everything was untidy and just as we left it.
Unfortunately, we won't be coming back here and won't recommend it to anyone.
