The this hotel is an oasis in Colombo with only a few rooms and great service. Our manager Silva gave us a warm welcome and was exceptionally helpful both during our stay and with ongoing ideas. The room was good, the pool lovely and the food too was excellent.

First night in Sri Lanka and Uga was a great welcome. Front of house very friendly and efficient. Huge relaxing room and bathroom with everything that one could want. The highlight was the excellent restaurant. The restaurant staff were so lovely. Kind and considerate. The food was exceptional. Small lobster in mango sauce. Much more interesting than it sounds. Main course of Frutti di Mari fettuccine in a mild curry sauce. Mouthwatering. Simple but complex. Best I’ve had for a long time including best in uk. Hats off to the chef.

An 5 star and private boutique hotel. There are only 11 suite rooms therefore guests that stay here value the privacy and exclusivity of the property. Shouldn’t allow corporate function or event to be held in the small property. Event held during my stay had occupied the swimming pool, courtyard, restaurant and lobby. All these are within a few hundred feet from the rooms.

The room is huge! The service was excellent, Siva was the best. They made us feel very welcome, we had a night swim that felt great. The restaurant has very good food. The style of the hotel is very classic and nice. I would really recommend this stay.

I spent my last night at Uga Residence and could recover very well. The rooms are so classy and tremendously big, there's nothing more you could ask for. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly and hospitable. This is just the perfect place to relax and recover in Colombo.

Fantastic bar in the uga great arrack cocktails classy great bartenders lahiru shamal and all of the staff know what they are doing regarding natural ingredients for drinks fantastic place if you are not staying there just go for that drinks or food

Very nice space and efficient use of the limited space with spacious rooms. Great food and mini muffins for breakfast. Great placement inside the city with many restaurants near withal lively atmosphere. Very nice long pool where you can really swim long and nicely.

Op de dag van aankomst in Sri Lanka neergestreken in Uga Residence. Een prachtig oude villa met 10 kamers. Op zich top met grote en goed ingerichte kamers. Een lekkere douche en aardig personeel. Het was niet goedkoop: dat hoeft ook niet voor deze kwaliteit. Ontbijt top. Wel een minpunt: we moesten 50 USD betalen voor een early checkin voor 1 kamer terwijl hier eerder contact over was geweest en het geen probleem zou zijn. Binnenkort nog een nacht in Uga Residence: we zijn benieuwd.

What could have ended up a members-only address reveals a canvas for harmony of volumes, elements and above all personalised hospitality. Depending on the time or temperature of the day: private patio, pool side, terrace restaurant or cocktails bar each offer a quaint, timeless elegant framework for carpe diem. But the charm of the place wouldn't reveal without the dedication of the whole team, from housekeeping to restaurant to front of house. Silva at the front desk facilitated a last minute reservation for what turned out an ideal urban stay at the heart of Colombo. Not only he alleviated the online booking intricacies but ensured a constant availability throughout. Rarely service is provided with such genuine involvement and flexibility.
