The White Horse Crostwick

Having visited and had nice meals in the past the meal today was terrible. Fish and chips should be an easy meal to get right but this was a disaster. The batter was so hard I could not penetrate it and the chips were not crisp and did not taste right. The whole meal appeared to have been fried once before and the put back in the deep fryer. The fish inside was like white mush. The waitress apologized but no sign of the manager taking any interest or apologizing for this meal. I will certainly not return again and recommend the place as I have done in the past.

Friendly welcome-lovely food-would certainly recommend.Good range of food available-checks for allergies done and ample parking.Delicious desserts-all in all a very pleasant lunch time. Lovely conservatory to dine in or main pub area.

Lovely Sunday roast. 5 of us came for a last minute meal, we all had the beef roast, no complaints at all! Tracy who served us was lovely. :)

We decided to go here for lunch after last visiting many years ago. We ordered from the specials board and the main menu. Great menu and specials board! Our food was lovely, didn’t have to wait long, and the portions were a good size. The staff were super friendly! Would definitely recommend and will visit again with the rest of the family!

Not been here in ages and not sure why, but it was a great experience. A very broad menu and reasonably priced. Portion sizes were superb and all staff very friendly and communicative. Young people get a hard time these days but the serving staff were a delight. Ghost Ship was lovely. Will definitely return.

Visited today for Lunch, Food was served hot and very nice, reasonably priced. Having a family member who is celiac I was impressed to notice that the staff checked with every order if there was any one with diet allergies. Staff were exceptional, it makes a meal out so much more enjoyable when you have friendly, polite and efficient staff. Recommend.

Back again to this little gem on our doorstep.We all chose from the specials board I had the steak and kidney suet pudding with greens mash and gravy delicious 😋 and had the lemon meringue cheesecake which was lovely.Great food very good service and good value will go back again soon highly recommend 🙂

What a delightful village pub with a wide ranging menu of good food. The service was charming and the place is just lovely. Highly recommend for a delicious lunch and friendly faces. Nothing too much trouble. They have a lovely outside space for a warm day too and dogs are welcome.
