Best Pet Friendly Hotels in Daanbantayan

We specifically visited Malapascua to dive with the thresher sharks — which was outstanding — but we were pleasantly rewarded with an amazing stay at Ocean Vida. The staff, food, bar, room, and dive center were all excellent and it was one of the highlights of our travels in the Philippines. Our fabulous bartender, Grace, was a true standout. The level of service and friendship was amazing, not to mention the best cocktails we’ve had in our month in the Philippines. We have no hesitation recommending a stay at Ocean Vida to any divers out there. PS - did we mention diving with the thresher sharks was an incredible experience? Don’t hesitate - book.

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. A good 3hrs 30mins drive from the city on a good day. We got the deluxe room, good for 3 pax. Room was very big and had an exclusive outdoor seating. One king sized bed and a single bed was perfect to sleep a family of 3. Room amenities was complete from toiletries, to robes, slippers and umbrella. As for the food (breakfast), we will make a different review for their Kusina Restaurant. Cons: - Some walkways were not well lit during the night. - Salty tap/shower water. - We saw dog poop when we arrived near the steps, it was still there when we left. - Pool lights not enough. - Resort food was disappointing.

Que buena elección fue quedarnos alojados en Slam's Garden Resort y bucear con ellos con Oceans Passions. Están los dos en el mismo sitio. El alojamiento es de 10, limpísimo, con piscina y se come genial. Y el centro de buceo es de 10 también. Equipos en perfecto estado, muy buenos instructores y guías de buceo, muy atentos a todo. Recomiendo totalmente qued**** alojados y bucear con ellos. Toda la gente que trabaja en ambos sitios es genial, y además tienen perros bien cuidados 🙂 Muchas gracias por todo Santiago! Un placer!

It's a bit far to walk to Main Beach. The hostel itself is located in a high location, so you have to walk a lot of stairs to get in once ㅠ Instead, the sea view is good :) The room condition is like a modern traditional house. It was good. However, ants are abundant in each room ㅠㅠ No food in the room, walls. Beds. Tables. Toilet. Balcony...It was an ant heaven

I booked a Superior room for 3 nights. Check in was simple. My room was a decent size and the bed comfortable enough. The shower and toilet were two separate rooms. The cable TV worked well. It required using two remotes but I had to turn on from the TV as the remote probably needed new batteries. The aircon worked well albeit a little noisy. I turned it off to sleep. The hot water shower was only enough to take the edge off cold even after being advised to let it run for 3 minutes but the following days it was warm. The shower rose was old and could certainly do with being replaced. After checking I noticed there was no soap provided. A trip to reception and soap was provided. Also, the shower light was not working, another trip to reception and the globe was replaced immediately. Bedside lamp did not work (globe replacement?). Only toilet paper is provided as there is no bum gun or pail/bucket. The overall lighting was good for island standards. Private patio area with table and seating. Bin on balcony not emptied unless requested. Room clean also upon request. Booking.com states Fan (I had none), Minibar (I had none) and Key Access should read key in door lock. One night I had a cockroach in my bed which freaked me out. I hate cockroaches. I couldn't go to sleep after that ending up staying up all night watching TV. Maybe if they used some insect surface spray it might help. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Bounty beach area. Given my senior years beachfront accommodation would probably have suited me better. In summary, the staff are friendly and try to do their best. Small irritations are part and parcel of island life except for that cockroach getting too friendly.

This guest house provides a terrace. The accommodation offers room service and a minimarket for guests. Guests at the guest house can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. Bool Beach is 1.8 km from Triple M Guest House, while Guimbitayan Beach is 2.4 km from the property. The people at Cocobanas were friendly. Stayed at Cocobana superior deluxe) and recommend it for its close proximity with heater and a/c. The clean the rooms daily. Only feedback was a little wait time, but then again you're at a local beach resort and they're not trained to the service standarss of 4-5star hoteliers that we're used to. So its OK for their standard. There is a 24h local breadshop about 7mins walk to market, located exactly where the market is. Its fresh bread and some cakes (limited range) that are very cheap. Had that for light breakfast being going for the thresher shark dives early in the morning. I find it good to eat something small before a dive rather than dive on an empty stomach. Please consider supporting the locals as the earn very little and here I find them honest and sincere. Supporting them means supporting their livelihoods and also their families. Please also considering tipping them generously if you are grateful for their services. Between dives I walked around to explore the village. I found a catholic church named Virgen de los Desamparados (8 min walk from TSD), where the locals believe in Mother Mary's intercession that helped to protect the locals during the 2013 typhoon. I asked a local about it and he shared that during the typhoon, even though there was damage to the homes and structures, not a single person died. How amazing! Safe stay to all travelling.

We loved our stay at Crowne! The most comfy bed I've ever slept on! The rooms are super modern and clean, beautiful views of the sunset. In room French press which we used everyday. The bathroom is large and super clean and the water pressure is decent too. You can walk pretty much everywhere on the island but the hotel was super close to the port and a short walk to the market. The owner Jessa was super helpful and arrange our transport to Cebu which went without a hitch. Highly recommend I would definitely stay here again.

I didn’t stay at Guanna’s however I will my next time in Malapascua! I was on the island for twenty days in April of 2022. Several times I enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the staff while eating at there restaurant. Cherique one of the managers, Saide the server and the cook Marvie along with the other staff members were above and beyond excellent! Always welcoming and very attentive as soon as I arrived. The food was sooo good. The homemade bread was terrific as well.
