Had a one night stay and it was excellent. A 10 minute walk into the centre where there is a wide choice of bars/restaurants. Our room was lovely, clean and the bathroom was huge. Full cooked breakfast to start the day, and Terry kept us entertained and provided some things to do. We did the electric brae, very weird.

Massive room and bathroom. Breakfast was lovely. Owner suggested great places to visit. Would definitely stay again. Short walk into Dumfries, opposite train station. Ideally situated for a short break or a stop over on a longer trip like us.

Had a very pleasant stay here rooms were very clean ! Breakfast was first class and the owners were very nice friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The hotel has lots of character and ample parking will definitely be going back next time we visit

Very nice hotel at a good price minutes from Dumfries station. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed with a large bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and there is a really nice bar. Above all the owners are super lovely people who made us feel so welcome.

Fabulous from start to finish, great hosts , very nice good quality breakfast and very reasonably priced, extremely clean , i have paid twice as much at a well known hotel chain and not had any where near the quality given by this hotel , they also gave us great informative information about our visit to troon for the Golf open weekend location is very good too

This is a small hotel more like a B&B but well set up to provide for its guests. Rooms were fine ( no elevator) and there was an excellence breakfast included. What made this hotel different was it proprietor Terry who entertained us at breakfast with hilarious stories. He also runs the bar in the evening. Great place to stay if visitng Dumfries.

We stayed here during our stopover in Dumfries. This hotel is well located, a few minutes from the train station and walking distance to the town Centre and river. The Proprietors Terry and Lynne Hawkins were both kind and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, including the bathrooms. There is a bar and lounge which is cost, the bar has a good selection of drinks. I would like to thank the Personnel at Ewart Library who were very kind in assisting me on some literary information.

Top hotel, Lynne en Terry maken je verblijf een gevoel van thuiskomen. Gezellig en comfort ingericht hotel. Netjes schoon en mooie kamers. Motor vriendelijk en met een gezellige bar. Bieden alle hulp en ongevraagd en gevraagd geven ze alle tips voor een top verblijf. Terry laat je lachen tijdens je verblijf en weet veel van de omgeving. Stadje Dumfries op loopafstand. Gezellige pubs en restaurantjes.

Fantastic, family run business could not be more helpful, returning next year already booked. Nothing is to much trouble for them rooms very clean. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Only 5 minutes walk from the town.
