This is such a cool looking place. The rooms are clean and tidy. Everything looks like the pictures. It is close to the night markets, open your door and you are there. Close to the airport, 30 or 40 mins. I will come back here!

This hotel is located right next to the Dunhuang night market. The rooms are very big and comfortable. The service from the staff at the front desk was excellent; they were very helpful and friendly when checking us in and giving us advice about where to go and how to get there. I would recommend staying here for the great location and good service.

The hotel we booked before was canceled because the smell in the room was too strong and we were traveling with elderly people and children. We temporarily booked a nearby Yunjing Hotel on Ctrip. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. She showed us the room and upgraded us to a parent-child room after seeing that we were bringing elderly children with us. Water and yogurt were provided, the room was clean and tidy, the bedding was clean, the bathroom was equipped with disposable towels, the whole house was smart, and there was a food street downstairs. I booked two nights here without hesitation. Dunhuang left a good impression on me. Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring are very worth visiting. When I come back from the desert the next night, I can put my clothes in the hotel laundry room for cleaning, which is very convenient.

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years.
This is probably one of the best hotels I have been.
Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling.
They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

DDawson LottHonestly the service at this hotel is what made the trip! The brothers that own the place are extremely friendly and helped drive us around to everything from the sights to their food recommendations that were all delicious. Not to mention beer, fruit and other drinks are all included at the hotel free of charge! It’s also walking distance to the oasis. To any foreigner wanting to travel here, these guys make it so easy and stress free, it’s worth it for them, plus there’s a place to swim amongst the heat and great air conditioning. You can see the dunes from the roof of the hotel too, where there’s tables and chairs to relax for a drink. Would come again in a heart beat.

Very well located, next to the crescent moon scenic area, also in front of the outdoor show and 3 mn far from the town center by car.
There is a shuttle bus to go to the town center and to the airport.
The staff at the front desk welcomed us very warmly, they are really nice and helpful.
The buffet breakfast is delicious and tasty, it is located on the roof top with view on the desert.
I strongly recommend you this hotel.

MmarkVisited Dunhuang on several occasions before but Bowen Hotel is the best considering its rating and price. It's a 4 star and only 150 CNY per night. For this you get a well appointed comfortable room with a view of the river. The rooms are well set out with plenty of space, power points and light switches where they are needed, and a stable reliable and secure wifi signal. The Hotel is situated about 300m east of Dunhuang museum. So, still within walking distance of night market main street, bars, memory box cafe, bus no.3 to Mingsha etc
The bathroom is good quality with a glass enclosure for the shower unit, which has lots of space. The hot water system is responsive and strong, over 24 hours (-10°C outside). Good quality towels and a floor mat are provided and replaced each day by the effecient room service staff.who keep rooms spotlessly clean. The queen sized bed is super comfortable- not too soft or too hard. The double boutique room also has a coffee table, sofa and matching foot rest.
I especially appreciated the gym on floor 7. Limited but useful equipment (treadmill, weights). Another useful feature is a laundry service - also on floor 7. I was fortunate enough to interact with the hotel manager, (who communicates in English very well) and she arranged a taxi late at night to Liuyuan. Overall a pleasant hotel experience in a great oasis town. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

BBerrrrrrrrrWe got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly.
Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also.
Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area.
The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out.
I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.

GGuest UserThe last stop of Zhejiang's self-driving Northwest Great Ring Road, a very pleasant stay, convenient parking, clean and hygienic. It’s also convenient to walk to the middle gate of Mingsha Mountain. There are many special delicacies downstairs, and my wife and daughter were also very satisfied with the flying photos taken in the ”Nayu Flower Room” downstairs of the B&B. Bargaining cantaloupes on the roadside for four for ten yuan, super sweet!

LLouise J RI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it is great value for money and the room is comfortable. My only negative comment would be that as a non-smoker, the room was a bit smelly, but I left the window open for a day and it aired out nicely.
Every single person working at the hotel were extremely kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and convenient. They even helped me to post some souvenirs back to my house that I couldn’t fit in my suitcase. I was travelling alone and it can be a bit intimidating to travel away from major cities with my less than conversational level of Chinese, but I was made to feel so welcome and I am very grateful for the amazing hospitality.
The location is fantastic, walking distance to a lot of nice places to eat and the night market. There was a cheap and decent gym within 8 minutes walking of the hotel and nowhere was too far to go by taxi.
For foreigners, I recommend taking the taxi to Doujiaduncun villagers committee to take your PCR test. It’s about 5 minutes by taxi and they can help deal with PCR tests for foreigners who don’t have access to the QR code. You must go back the next day to pick up the results. The people at the testing site are also very helpful.
I loved my visit to Dunhuang so much, the landscape is incredible and the people here are so nice. I will definitely come back again!

The pharmacy, supermarket, restaurant downstairs, and the Chinese Medicine Hospital opposite the hotel are very convenient for Baoma and friends with the elderly! The room is very spacious and the space is large. The most important thing is that the hotel staff is very warm. We arrived in the middle of the night. The front desk has been calling for the hotel to be afraid of not finding the hotel! We are very warm to arrive in a strange city! like! In addition, this hotel is very Buddhist. No one urges you to pay the room fee for the renewal of the room. You have to pay the room fee until you check out! In particular, I praised the beautiful sister at the front desk. The people are super nice and very enthusiastic. I have a flight at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. After discussing with the beautiful sister, I will postpone it for two hours! GGuest UserThe boss is from Shandong. He is really super bold and hospitable. He also came to Dunhuang to open an inn this year. When I arrived last night, it was very late. The stars were particularly beautiful. The boss upgraded me to the star room for free. The feeling of lying in bed at night watching the stars is really unparalleled. I didn’t set the ticket for Mogao Grottoes. The boss taught me how to grab it. I also recommended that I read “See Dunhuang again.” It’s really superb. This is the most comfortable yard I live in the ring. I like it so much. I stayed for another night. I got up in the morning and I could watch the sunrise directly on the roof platform. Sitting at the door in the evening and eating the boss's secret barbecue to watch the sunset is really worth it. I will come back again at Dahanxuan Hall
