Pet-friendly Hotels in Fenghuang

The exquisite petty bourgeoisie and clean parent-child room are especially suitable for a family of three. All the staff are enthusiastic and the boss even gave me a souvenir before leaving. It was an unexpected surprise. The fruits in the lobby are changed every day. When I left, the boss enthusiastically packed fruits for the children. It was very considerate (the children especially liked the free homemade ice cream at the B&B). Ha ha)

We went there as a family of 4. We originally booked a room with one double bed and two single beds but once there, they gave us a free upgrade to a room with three double beds. The staff was very attentive during our check-in and gave us a detailed run down of where to visit and gave suggestions on the best route to explore the area. The restaurant opposite the hotel which the staff recommended was also quite delicious. The room itself is generally clean, but our room had some areas with cracked flooring. And although we booked a room for four people. The slippers, toothbrushes, water etc all came in threes. There was a lack of power outlets in one room while the other had more than enough which is a bit odd. We went in late December, which is considered as off-season for this area so there weren't many other tourists. Another complaint to make is some staff can be found smoking in the reception lobby. This is probably a cultural thing and not an issue with this hotel in particular because locals here smoke everywhere. The staff was also able to help arrange a car to drop us off at the high speed train station for 50 yuan. Overall, the location is not far off from the attractions (~15-20 minutes walk), clean, and had friendly helpful staff.

The hotel location is very good. Riverside but far from the noisy pub and bar in center of the town but can walk to central of loudness in 5-10min. All staff here are so nice. They provide a pick up and drop off service. And very easy to contact with via wechat. Rooms are new nice clean well decorated and can look over to see the river. Several beakfast shops are close to hotel like 1-2min. Highly recommend

For transportation, you can only take a taxi at the high-speed rail station. There are no special cars. There are not many taxis. You have to wait in line. When you leave, there will be someone driving the high-speed rail in the store. This service is probably not available in peak season, and the fare is slightly more expensive than taxis. Environment: The Chinese-style garden is elegant and unique. You can also borrow Hanfu to take photos, which is great. Facilities: There are mosquito windows, hot and cold air conditioning. Hygiene: clean Service: Average, enthusiasm needs to be improved.

The hotel is very close to the bridge just walk 5 mins. Good location to walk around the ancient city and along the river. The service is superb. You need to contact hotel in advance as they need to meet you at the parking lot and bring you the hotel. The breakfast is at the restaurant nearby (local chinese style). The noodle soup is very delicious. Special thanks to Xiao Hong and Ar Ming for very nice hospitality. As there is no Didi in Fenghuang, they helped us to book the car to the airport and made sure that we arrived at the airport safely. Although they speak very limit English, we can communicate with WeChat. The ancient city view at night is very beautiful but also very crowded with people dressed in the ancient costume and taking pictures everywhere. It was difficult to walk and enjoy the night view as it is a bit noisy because of the people and music from bars along the river. Day time is more peaceful to walk around.

The location like many in Fenghuang is up a lot of stairs— but if you speak Chinese you can call and the manager will help carry your luggage up the stairs to the hotel. The area is still considered rural even tho there is a lot of tourism— so don’t be surprised if you see spiders (which the manager will take care of too). The view was great, the AC actually worked, and the bed was soft. But I couldn’t figure out how to get the hot water to work in the bathroom and I had already asked the manager for so much I just went to sleep. I’m sure they would have fixed it if I had the energy to deal with it.

The location is very convenient, next to Hongqiao. The breakfast is super delicious and the environment is warm and nice, we felt like home. Also the staff is great!

The room is large and well decorated. The facilities are complete and it is quiet at night. The boss is very good, pick up and drop off to help with luggage. The yard of the homestay is great! A lot of meat, there are two more! The washing machine is very convenient, and the boss also provides hangers and laundry detergent. The bathroom is separated from each other, the toilet is toto, and the shower is also very good. The boss also accompanied my uncle and father to recognize the more delicious snacks and the location of the restaurant. Next time you come to Phoenix, you will also live here!

Truly in a class of its own! The best place to stay in Fenghuanggucheng! Near the date of arrival the host, Mr Liao would urge you to add his hotel WeChat for check in information. Then he would give you full details on what transport to take to reach his place complete with a video recording of how to walk there from the tourism office. We really appreciate this thoughtfulness and thoroughness. It was such a sharp contrast to our other hosts during our 2-week sojourn in Hunan! When we asked them for directions to go to their homestays all they replied was ‘take a taxi’! On top of this Mr Liao and his capable smiling assistant Ms Chang went all out to ensure that we were comfortable. He plied us with Chinese tea, gave us tips on where to go, what to see and eat so that we could make the best use of our time at his lovely hotel. No wonder we decided to stay another night there (upon returning from Fanjingshan) after experiencing such great hospitality! The location of his homestay is superb, right in the ancient town itself but away from the noise. It was easy to reach and in a convenient location. It was also a short walk from the town where all the cheap and delicious food are. The bedrooms and bathrooms were in pristine condition. Clean sheets, comfortable beds and furnished with all the facilities that a tourist would require. Looking at the way he named his rooms with lines of poetry we sensed that Mr Liao is a well educated man and it shows in the way he interacts with his guests and how he runs his hotel. Kudos to you Mr Liao and Ms Chang. You both make excellent ambassadors for lovely Fenghuanggucheng!

This little hotel on the banks of the river couldn't have tried harder to please, from the first moment I arrived till I left, the staff worked tirelessly to ensure I was happy and looked after. The hotel is a 10 minute walk along the banks of the river to reach the centre of the ancient town, something I think I preferred as the noise in the evenings from karaoke bars in the centre goes on till late. I was upgrade to one of the loft rooms, the bed was lovely and comfy with good linen and the walkin shower was excellent. The TV was massive and there was a lovely view of the river from the seating area. The entrance was a bit tricky to identify and hence why I have included a better photo.
