The location of the hotel directly on the Ponte Vecchio is very good.
Rental cars can be parked in the nearby parking garage for an additional charge.
Rooms are adequate, only the noise level from outside and in the hallway is disturbing until late at night.
Air conditioning didn't work.

La Scalette is a beautiful hotel in Florence. Its location is perfect. You’re within walking distance of amazing shopping, restaurants, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, etc.
The only reason I didn’t give it a five star, was the accessibility and mobility within the hotel itself. Even if you take the tiny elevator to your floor, you might have another set of stairs just to get to your room. After a long day of sight seeing in the heat, the last thing you want is to return it to your hotel and have to take 3 to 4 flights of stairs just to get to your room if the elevator is not available. I would also say I found the in-house restaurant very costly. But even with that, it was a lovely stay.

Utmärkt läge med närhet till allt. Stort rum med högt i tak, men tyvärr alltför hårda sängar. Oväsen från våningen ovanför var störande sent på kvällarna.
Frukost enkel men helt ok.

Great location. Great service. Friendly staff. The only drawback were the mosquitoes in our room, the amount of graffiti everywhere, and the streets were pretty dirty and/or had a bad sewage smell most of the time.

Disappointed in our room, when you see the photographs in the overview of the hotel on *******, the reality was very different. Getting around the hotel is challenging, with an elevator that only takes two people. On the positive side the view from the roof top terrace was stunning, great for an early evening drink and breakfast.

Convenient, but you need to be prepared for a lot of steps. There is a tiny lift, but still lots of steps.
