The good reviews lead me to thing place and I was mostly happy, just wanted to flag a couple of things to mention in case they affect anyone else. This is a small hotel and when you choose a small hotel there are pluses and minuses. The minus for me was that on my first night, the fan in the shower didn't turn off and this was unable to be fixed, especially since it was a Sunday night (the night manager did try). It was somewhat annoying but because it was my first night and I was so jet lagged, I just put up with it. This hotel is also only one block (heading towards the railway station) from a very seedy section of town, as I walked to and from the railway station, as a single woman, its important to be aware of this. Walking into the old quarter is a relatively easy walk in another direction, although not the shortest walk. Also, I had a single room facing the front driveway, this I found to be a bit on the noisy side as people gathered outside as they came and went and talked in the driveway at all hours of the day and night. Breakfast was fantastic, really nice. Room was a good price. Its a charming hotel, if you have a room that suits you and walk in the right areas, then all good.
