Hotels near Domaine des Groubeaux, Geneva

The hotel is around a 15 minute drive from the airport. The views from the room were very pretty. The room was large, with a bath. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is on the landing path to the airport, so some aircraft noise can be heard. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't send check-in information. We arrived late on a very rainy night. We couldn't see any signs to the underground parking. We called and they explained that we need to take a ticket from the machine and park in the shopping center -4. There we didn't notice that there are two elevators - one that leads outside to the outdoor entrance (no roof...), and the other that leads directly into the hotel. They could have saved some aggravation by simply sending in advance how to reach the hotel. The staff were very nice.

Some of the staff are friendly, especially those from the Reception. The hotel is strategically located opposite Annemasse Main Train Station. You can easily purchase the ticket and travel to Geneva too. Latitude 46 serves good food (it is the hotel's only restaurant) There are several bus station nearby, where you can hoop on / off the bus easily (eg : Tango) Opposite the hotel is the Tourism Board of Annemasse. There is a mini bar and conference rooms at Level 8 of the hotel. if you wish to stay in this hotel, it is better to be able to communicate in French, else it is very hard to talk to the staff However the room is very small there is no cupboard to hang clothes. If you are staying in standard room, no bedroom sleepers will be provided. According to reception, Sleepers are only for those in Executive Rooms. The carpet in the room is not clean, and I noticed that cleaners entered the room with their boots / shoes, and that could be the reason why the carpet is always dusty and dirty. Another thing to note is the bedsheet is not clean. The mini bar at Level 8 closes at around 10pm, which is too early. The waitresses will ask you to leave by around 10pm. she spoke in French and none of us could understand. Most staff cannot communicate in English. The place may not be safe especially at nights, you can hear people fighting at the back street , from your hotel room . One of the evenings (16 Apr) , we reached the Latitude 46 at around 9.37pm, and were trying to place our orders, a young waiter told us that the kitchen have closed. However, as per the reception, the last call to the kitchen was always at 10pm. We were left with no food, as most of the cafes nearby have already closed, ended up we had to buy burgers from McDonalds. The young waiter (male) was very rude and could not speak English efficiently. In my opinion, this hotel is more suitable only for short stay One plus point is, it is located very near to the town's main train station. That's it.

The hotel is very friendly and well equipped with all the necessary to spend a few days of holiday. I would say that the only negative point is a small lack of room in the kitchen (in the place of the mirror next to the kitchen, I think it would have been good to put floors or a small furniture and put the mirror on the door of the room of Ban or in front of the armoire) because no place to set the few courses for the stay once the clothes in the armoire.

The hotel is clean, well located, friendly staff. The room is not spacious but sufficient for 1 or 2 people who only pass the night. The bathroom is well equipped. The breakfast is a perfect continental buffet and represents this kind of hotel. Two bemols: - it would be really important to offer cut bread. It is not quite assertive that every client takes the bread to cut it. This shocks even more in the health context but independently of the virus of the moment it is not hygienic. - une réception ouverte 24/24 serait plus rassurante qu'un système de carte magnétique pour débloquer tous les accès (porte d'entrée, accès à l'ascenseur ou escalier) sans possibilité de faire appel à quelqu'un si défaillance (j'ai posé la question). Les tarifs sont néanmoins élevés, il faudrait ​​engager du personnel et ne pas penser uniquement au profit des actionnaires.

I was traveling from my country to where I live now and I needed a place to stay with my parents and my doggy in the middle of the route. This was perfect as quality-price was good, quite room, toilet in the room and very nice staff at the reception. There was no terrace outside though, unlike other hotels from this chain.

Not a bad little hotel. The hotel itself is not all that interesting, but at least the room was clean. The man on the front desk was helpful. Not sure if they speak English or not since I only spoke French with them. Close by you have a number of restaurants. And you can walk to everything within minutes. There is a cafe/bar to the left, Les Salles Gossses that gets fairly acrive on a weekend. To the right there is a burger place 99 Street Burgers open late, and during the daytime, walk down the street to the right and there is a big square, Place de l'Hotel de Ville with an old-time carousel, and several restaurants. As a stopover on the way to/from Geneva, it's a reasonable option. One negative point though it is minor: this hotel does inexplicably take a 100 euro deposit pre-authorised on credit card. This is a bit ridiculous as there is nothing in the room is worth 100 euros.

Stayed here six nights in june. Fresh room with operable windows and lots of natural light. Quiet, and the fan system is very good for drowning out any extra noises.Very comfortable new bed and bedding. Wonderful to have lovely espresso machine in room with plenty of capsules. Also refrigerator. They have some kitchenettes which include a microwave, again this is very rare in europe, although more common in the us. Staff is extremely responsive and professional and friendly, unlike many other hoteliers who are very stressed these days and often reflects in a strained attitude. I received almost immediate attention for all my needs. Very stylish public areas with lots of cool contemporary art and many colors and loads and loads of fantastic art science etc books all around the hotel. Nice breakfast buffet in an extremely large and spacious seating area. Eggs, fruits, beans, lox, etc. I have a medical diet and they were very kind to make an adjustment for me. Wonderful location as it is off the beaten path but yet just a 15 minute walk to the train station and you can walk to the water and into the main town. Also was nice to walk to the big hotels easily and safely. Really loved my stay here and I will actually return for another two nights before I fly out later in the month. I stay in many hotels both in the US and around the world the last couple of years and it is impressive the service here and the attitude.

Everything was perfect, from the impeccable service to the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms. The staff were extremely welcoming and always ready to help with a smile. The facilities were modern and well maintained, and the complimentary breakfast was varied and delicious. The location of the hotel is ideal, close to the main tourist attractions. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return there during my next stay.

My son and i stayed here for the Geneva marathon. Our flight got in early but the reception staff were very happy to store our luggage until check-in time. Hotel is very well placed, trams go pass, the train station (8 mins to the airport) is a 5 minute walk and 10 mins to the lake. We had a room at the back, yes the train line!, however we discovered that closing the substantial curtains reduced the unseasonal heat, and closing the window meant a good nights sleep. The double glazing is substantial! Best pillows and mattress ever, followed by a really good and varied breakfast (including hot rice for the runners). All of the staff were very helpful and cheerful. A delightful, convenient hotel and highly recommended. You will get a Geneva Travel Pass too!
