On a business trip, it was very cold and it was a weekend. The hotel reception was very enthusiastic and helped us to move our luggage, especially the first floor small bar and the cake after 4 o'clock was very good and intimate. Breakfast is also very rich, will come again next time...

Because I couldn't book a hotel, I squeezed in with my colleagues temporarily. The room facilities are relatively old, but the hygiene is passable, and the breakfast is also good. It's very close to the central station and the focus is on value for money.

The facilities are very European aristocratic style hotel, just out of the train station! Welcome fruit, coffee, refreshments at the front desk, quite generous and welcoming! Garden breakfast, rich variety, feels great! Highly recommended hotel!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Avalon hotel. It's in a very convenient location close to the city center (and close to bus/tram stops). Check in/out was seamless and the staff very friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet had many options. We also had lunch at the restaurant upon arrival and the food was very good! The only downside to Avalon is that while it's in a central location, that also means the area around the hotel is busy/crowded. We stayed over a weekend and it was pretty loud outside our room on the street which kept us up at night / recycling service woke us very early in the morning.

😠不足：我住的那個房間，廁所沖水是壞的，我第一天告訴了員工，第二天還沒有人給我修好！為了不在房間留下沒沖走的💩，衹能上酒店的公共廁所！

The room was clean and had an iron, kettle and fridge. The “double” bed upstairs was two single beds shoved together. Not worth paying for a third person as it was a sofa bed- which pulled out extremely low down so they basically slept on the floor. They also had a very hard section so was not very comfy. It cost us an extra 85 pounds for this- which was not worth it! Good points: (1) We really like its location. It was very easy to reach public transportations. It was also close by lots of local amenities such as Netto, post box, coffee shops, pizza place, and buffet breakfast. (2) Moreover, the hotel has a kitchen where we can warm our own food. Bad points: (1) We didn't like that we had to pay extra for bedsheets and towels. We travel a lot nationwide and to other countries - one of us used to work as a tour guide - and it was our very first time to be in a hotel/hostel/motel that does not include bed sheets with the original price. (2) Our room was located right next to a very noisy playground. From morning until night, it was always extremely noisy. So the only times we enjoyed our time in our room was when it was very late at night or when it was raining heavily, because then no kids were there in the playground. (3) One of the shared-toilets was incredibly stinky.

Good location, Great reception from staff when we arrived to check in. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very modern and quirky with a scientific authentic feel. It made the hotel unique with the feel . The room was well equipped to a very high standard. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower is a power shower. Simply amazing. The food was of exceptional quality. The service was excellent, nothing was ever too much trouble. The only criticism I could mention, is the menu is very restricted, not much choice in main meals, but on saying all that, the meals they did have , are of very high quality, and you will not be disappointed. The food is presented very well and tasted amazing. We will be back. The breakfast is plentiful with amazing amount of choice. Very high quality and plenty to eat.Thank you for an amazing stay. Totally blown away with everything about the hotel , service and the food.

If you travel with car, this hotel has excellent location. Very nice sub urban area. To Lisebergs amusement park and very big shopping mall 10 minutes away. Breakfast was excellent and coffee - definitely best during visit in Sweden. Most important while traveling, we all had GOOD sleep in comortable beds. In rooms hotel is having a good selection when travelling with family. Eventhough they don't have restaurant, they had tasty variation for evening meal. Worth the money!

Not just an average airport hotel.
Set away from the airport around 5 minutes walk, the hotel is on the edge of a lovely green area with a forest to the rear.
Breakfast was top class, everything set out nicely and quality food.
Definitely a notch up on any airport hotel I've stayed in before.
Will definitely use again.

WWanna goThis was good hotel, located in the center of Gothenborg where you have good access to almost everything. It was a beautiful hotel with a good interior design. It was clean enough. As a not good point, we can say they don't put slipperies in the rooms that is a little annoying.
Breakfast was perfect with a very good anf acceptable range of foods and drinks.
Parking cost is too much here. It's almost 400 SEK per each day, buy you still have this alternative that park your car in some public parkings, with 10 minutes walking to the hotel and much lower cost.

GGuest UserTransportation: We arrived in Gothenburg by train. The hotel is about 3 kilometers away from the train station. You need to take tram No. 2 or No. 4 to get there (note that the directions of No. 2 and No. 4 from the train station to the hotel are in opposite directions). ). Taking a taxi with Uber costs between 100-200kr. If there are 3-4 people traveling, the price is similar to that of public transportation. A single bus ticket here is 36kr. Uber prices change at any time, so the range is a bit wide.
Room: We booked a family room that can accommodate up to 5 people. It was considered a small suite. The big bed was separate from the other three beds, and there was a bathroom in between. The room is very clean. There is enough space.
Breakfast: There are many varieties, which is quite rich, but there is no salmon in terms of meat. All kinds of sausages and hams. Vegetables were few, just cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce.
This hotel is next to a paradise, just like domestic paradise hotels. If it is weekends and holidays, there will be many families with children staying. It will be a bit noisy at night and breakfast will be crowded.
Overall satisfied.

GGuest UserScandic Europa is the perfect location to stop if you ate going to a concert at the Ullevi stadium. Located right by the main station. The rooms were adequate and the breakfast excellent. We did have a couple of issues that were immediately sorted out so nothing negative to say. We left very early in the morning, Uber was on time and we were provided with breakfast boxes. Overall a very good choice.

We booked a suite at another hotel, But it did not meet our expectations, so I called Opera Hotel because I have stayed there before. I asked for a specific room I always use when I stay at the Hotel (Room 555) and luckily it was free. But the service in the phone and afterward in the reception was exceptional and I will highly recommend it to all my friends and contacts.

LLast Teenage SGIt was a quite wonderful experience to stay at First G hotel in terms of the following, I can actually say I have never gotten this kind of experience outside of Japan in my life. Their services with smiling faces, breakfast especially scrambled egg and a lot of line up of breads, convenient location to take almost all trams which will take you anywhere in Goteborg, finally entire performance per cost. Here is some pictures at Haga street, entrance of the street, beautiful church inside and outside.

We stayed in Pigalle Hotel Gothenburg for 2 nights The location of the hotel is very central and super close to the central station of Gothenburg ( about3 minutes walk), it is also close to tons of restaurants, cafes and a big shopping mall where you will find everything The reception when we first entered the Hotel did not meet our expectations, it was not that warm welcome and for a moment felt almost like self service, I thought it was bizarre for a 5 stars hotel to have average reception for their guests. Decoration of the hallway, the bar at ground floor, the entrance and even the stairs was surprisingly very vintage, romantic and outstanding design, overall it was charming and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Even the room design, the wall paper and the bathroom were all of the same theme (vintage & romantic and it quite warm feeling) The bed was super comfy, we slept very well like bears so if you wanna have a great sleep they got the beds and pillows for it. Also the breakfast every morning was nothing short of delicious and the taste of everything was great and you can feel that they only use fresh & high quality ingredients, the methods of the cooking and preparations were very 5 stars indeed, and the service of the staff as well, they were very friendly and professional. Nevertheless the room we stayed at did not match the pictures on the hotel web page, it was not very spacious neither was the bathroom, and next to the bed both nightstands had stains on them, we were also not pleased with the cleanliness of the room nor the bathroom as there were so much chalky limescale deposits all over the bathroom floor. The closet in our room was sort of broken and need reparation as it was quite warn out, also it had very small space to hang our clothes and even less space for stuff because it had only 2 small shelves. No free coffee, nor tea and not even water in the room, quite disappointing for a 5 stars hotel, I honestly was upset as there were no trash cans in the room, there were just one in the bathroom and you need to walk there every time you had trash to throw. Also although we were couple, we only got 1 welcome package and even that was very basic. In Summary: The Hotel have a charming, vintage aesthetic and an unbeatable central location. However, the room quality fell short of expectations for a 5-star establishment, with cleanliness issues and a lack of amenities. The delicious breakfast and exceptional service of the staff helped redeem the experience.

AAnonymous UserCozy hotel with friendly personnel, and an okay single room. It wasn’t large, but it was clean. More than good enough for the two nights I stayed there. But it was in need of maintenance though: the doors and such were quite badly damaged.
I’ve added breakfast to my booking, and this was really good! Lots to choose from, and delicious.
One complaint: the rooms facing the street are not soundproofed enough in my opinion, too much of the noise of the quite busy road outside came in😕
Would stay again though, and I heard the double rooms are less noisy as these don’t face the street.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in old/historic buildings. Very nice and comfortable. Perfect place to stay and have the ‘harbour-feeling’. Nice and friendly restaurant and breakfast. Good possibillities to charge your electric car. That’s really an extra service! Good to know is that the windows in the sleepingrooms (in our building) couldn’t be opened. With warm weather that could be a problem. Also we would appreciate to have some coffee or tea in the room.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right near the main shopping area and close to many interesting sites. Public transportation is a few minutes away as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was nice. The breakfast was good and there is a waffle bar available in the evenings. The street is very busy and loud so if you want some quiet you have to close the window (if you're on the street side) but once the window is closed the room is silent. Very good value for the money, I definitely recommend it.

LleimonThis month is also a low-cost youth travel in Gothenburg, so I took this opportunity to evaluate it. It is only a personal idea, so it is only for reference.
But there are two points they are the same, that is, no one is really close to the University of Gothenburg, no one has a locker with lock.
1. The most cost-effective is the STF Youth Hostel. (Very important is that they push the door directly during working hours, do not lock the door, go in to the left hand side to manually check in, there is this one, others must get the access code in advance or ask for the intercom at the door. Very troublesome) Although the price is occasionally not the lowest, but the room may be allocated at least four people and up to 8 people, showing that men and women are mixed, but when there are not many people, they are basically separated. It is possible to mix when someone is full, and the kitchen is small but everything is complete. There is a lounge to watch TV. The toilet is the toilet, the shower is separate, and there is also a three-person shower room separated by a curtain. The nearby supermarket is very close, look at the santa ship, behind the Gothenburg church, walk for five minutes. Standing on a high place overlooking the scenery. Finally, they are free sheets and sheets.
2. Gothenburg backpacker hotel and slottsskogens are the names of two brands of the same family, that is, check-in and departure are handled at a counter. However, the floor and room type of the stay are different. The breakfast and kitchen are the same. The kitchen is ok, slightly larger, but not clean. Then there are also a mix of eight or six people. Because there are many people, they are uneven. The toilet and bath are in a room together. Their two youth hostels go out to the north and go to the Linnai Hotel at an intersection, and the opposite is linneplatsens. These four are together. The only benefit is that it is very close to the back mountain of Gothenburg, a five-minute walk, and then the Gothenburg Natural Museum is free. Finally, their sheets are also free.
3. Gothenburg Hotel is on the east side of the city, one stop south of the Lisboa playground, this access control is on the first floor, there is no way to go in when you can wait for someone to open the door and enter. Shopping around there is an expensive coop supermarket, there is nothing but a playground around, but two or three stops north to the Gothenburg Art Museum, which has Van Gogh paintings. This bed sheet is charged, because there are a lot of rooms, the lower bunk provides a curtain, it is still privacy, but there are many people, many eight-person rooms, separate toilets and separate bathrooms. The kitchen is ok, small and mixed.
4. This Linnai hotel is a private owner, between the Youth Hostel and the train station hotel similar feeling, unless its single room is cheap to the price of the Youth Hostel, other times, it is really not recommended. Otherwise, you may not be able to enter the door. There is a reason for their low rating. The single room I lived in was cheaper than the price of the berth, so I endured two nights, the kitchen was completely unusable, there was not enough kitchenware, the toilet was poor, and the bathroom was OK.
