I recommend this hotel, 11/10! It was such a magical place. I stayed in one of the signature rooms (with the hot tub overlooking the mountains), and for the price, it was 100% worth it! The employees were also very warm, and they truly take care of you. Smiles all around! I wanted to give a quick shoutout to the Glacier Hotel Restaurant staff for being above and beyond - specific shoutout to Dani (guy from Spain) and Michael (guy from Germany - he was just 3 weeks in when he helped us), both of whom were so nice & helpful during the dinner service. The food was stellar and the drinks were great! Also, breakfast was included, and the options were surprising (in a good way). Sometimes, hotels really cheap out on breakfast, but not Hotel Glacier - tons of options: food, drinks, etc. If you're thinking twice, don't. Just go ahead and click that purchase button. It was a good time!

First I want to say, beautiful boutique hotel, I could sit on their balcony and just look at the beautiful valley. Outstanding breakfast selection. We had a room which faced the town - a smaller class room, but it was still plenty of room and we had lots of luggage coming from US, very spotless clean. But want I want to say is this....we had a medical emergency day two of being there, their two staff members Silas and Juliana went ABOVE and beyond anything I could have imagined to help me. It was 10:00pm at night and they were calling local doctors anything they could do it help me, I was literally in a state of pure utter panic. What could have bee a very dire situation with me ending up in an ER, well they handled this situation like pros. They saved me from what could have gone really bad and saved our vacation. This would have NEVER happened in the US two employees doing something like that. It's a top class run place and I would go back in a heartbeat!

This is a charming, lovely hotel in a perfect location. The view from our room and the dining area can only be described as spectacular and the same could be said for the entire staff, from the front desk to the servers in the dining room to the people servicing the breakfast area. Everyone was so polite and helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have possibly needed. Towels were changed daily although we didn’t request it. This was a great location for everything we wanted to do in the area and we appreciated the hotel not being on a main road which made it feel quiet and private. The meals we had for dinner were just great and the breakfast items were fresh, plentiful and delicious. If we ever return to Grindelwald, we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else but the Hotel Glacier!

Cute hotel room but many mosquito like insects so couldn’t open the door for too long. Overall, was a pleasant stay. Lovely walk every morning to the train station. Staff was nice to us and very accomodating to our wants and needs. 5 course meal dinner was enjoyable.

Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig, einfach zu Fuss (12min) oder per Bus Nr. 123 ab Grindelwald Bahnhof zu erreichen. Überall ausserordentlich freundliches Personal. Im Zimmer fehlt es an nichts. Das Frühstück erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Kleiner Whirlpool mit Eigerblick, Saunen und Relax-Wasserbetten dienen zur Entspannung. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Whilst it may strike you as being small the quality of the bedrooms and lounge / dining areas, the delicious food [particularly the breakfasts], the friendly / helpful staff, and the amazing views from the public rooms will soon put you at ease.

This was a beautiful hotel Thomas and Dani were great servers and will always have a special place in our hearts. We will always return to glacier Hotel when we are in Grindelwald. The views were spectacular and the people were even better. The restaurants in the hotel were so delicious. I am still thinking about them today 10 out of 10 I recommend. Must stay

Waren zu Beginn unseres Alpentrips in Grindelwald und haben uns aufgrund später Buchung und eingeschränkter Auswahl für das Glacier entschieden. Der Aufenthalt von vier Nächten war ausgezeichnet. Das Publikum des Hotels ist wie das des Ortes sehr international. Lage zwischen Terminal, Bahnhof und Restaurants mit direktem Blick auf die Eiger Nordwand ist top. Hatten ein Standardzimmer (ohne Balkon), welches von der Größe großzügig und absolut ausreichend ist. Sauberkeit war stets gegeben. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen ein Highlight. Frisches Obst, Brötchen, Kuchen, Smoothie etc. etc. Wirklich genial. Haben (leider) nicht im glacier gegessen (würden wir nächstes Mal definitiv machen) allerdings einen Cocktail auf der Terrasse getrunken. Auch diese beiden waren ausgezeichnet. Kurzum: Ein absolut schöner Aufenthalt. Beim nächsten Mal Grindelwald (der Ort bzw die Umgebung sind echt ein Traum) würden wir wieder das Glacier buchen. Zwei Anmerkungen: 1. Spa bzw. Sauna erfordern das Tragen von Badekleidung (nicht ganz so schön aber vermutlich geregelt, um allen Kulturen gerecht zu werden und für uns daher auch kein Drama) 2. Das Hotel bietet einen kleinen Waschraum mit zwei Waschmaschinen und Trocknern inkl. Bügelbrett und -eisen. Sehr praktisch und gerne genutzt

This place was incredible. Truly felt like a dream staying at the Boutique Hotel Glacier in Grindelwald. The views were breath taking and the food was 5 star. Special shout out to Thomas and Dani who were the absolute best and made our dining experience one of a kind! This hotel is a hidden gem that I will be returning to again! Highly recommend.
