The downtown area is very close to the Acropolis and Constitution Square.
The bed is really small and the facilities are average.
There is an open-air swimming pool and restaurant on the rooftop. You can see the Acropolis from a distance. It is the tallest building around.
What is unacceptable is that the breakfast is not changed at all. I really can't get used to it.
There are almost no Chinese people in the hotel, and the front desk is very inefficient.

The location of the hotel is very good. There are many cafes and restaurants right next to the Athens commercial street and it is very convenient. The supermarket is also very close. The hotel room is clean and the service is good. Especially the breakfast is extremely rich and delicious. The breakfast location overlooks the Acropolis and the scenery is unparalleled. Stayed five days with friends. Booked four rooms. Staff were very friendly, as for me is a Greeks, some of the most hospitable people in the world. The breakfast was plentiful, staff again done a great job. It was a very busy As it’s a conference Hotel really. However that didn’t mean that it was bad. The pool was mostly quiet. And spotless clean as was the whole hotel. Heard some say it was far away from city. For us we didn’t think so, it was literally a 15 minute walk right to the centre, however if you cross the very busy road, your literally among some great non touristy restaurants and cafes. I never felt the staff or the policy of the hotel was to attempt to get money from you for extras, everyone was very integrity minded. My only slight gripe was that the maid service was a bit inconsistent, so the room wasn’t made up to the same standard each day. However I mentioned it to the reception and received a letter and bottle of wine, which wasn’t expected but appreciated. On a plus the rooms are huge, with a nice sitting area and large bathroom. Only other thing. As we book four rooms for 5 nights , and our flight was leaving late and we needed a room to stay later, I felt the 117 euros for late checkout was a bit steep and as we had booked the four rooms I think they could have gave us a bigger discount than have the room rate , as is their policy obviously. Other than that. It was a great hotel considering its massive size. Would definitely recommend. It’s not Dubai 5 star so if that’s what you expect you will be discounted. However it’s very good and very genuine, spotless clean and great staff.

This is a great hotel in a fabulous location only 5 minutes from the metro. The rooms are well designed and comfortable with really great bathroom products. The quality of food is exceptional and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Acropolis makes this place special. The views from the roof terrace are amazing. Small boutique hotel with very attentive staff and outstanding view of the Acropolis from its excellent restaurant. From the get-go, we were received with a warm welcoming smile by Marisanti and Valantis. Due to early arrival, our room was being cleaned and we were directed to the top floor restaurant for coffee. Wow, what a view! We were in awe of the spectacular view of the Acropolis from the restaurant. The daily breakfast, served at the restaurant, included a quite diverse menu and the very attentive staff always provided great service. We received recommendations and advice from the front desk staff on a daily basis. Every day we were welcome back from our daily exploring with a smile. Other highlights were the cleanliness of the hotel and the balcony offering a great view of the daily Plaka crowd. Any time we had questions regarding our planned activities, every effort was made by the front desk staff to coordinate among the different shifts to follow up and provide us with the specific details or information. This special customer service gave us peace of mind and contributed to our outstanding experience during our April six-day stay.

Reception was very friendly during check-in and staff for breakfast was very nice. The facilities were alright for us. I'm not sure if it was just our room or the entire building but there was this constant ”smoke” smell during our stay that was very difficult to ignore in our room. They did offer us to change a room but after walking around the floor and lobby, might of been just a smell that was throughout the building. There was a used orange drink in our fridge which could of been easily missed by the maids but was a little concerning what else might of been missed. Again all minor issues that would not stop me from staying there again if needed.

The room service is in place, the bedding is comfortable, and the facilities are complete. From the balcony of the room, you can see the changing of the guard in front of the Parliament Building. It's a pity that the room size is small. You can enjoy delicious food while enjoying the beautiful view during breakfast. The Acropolis and Parthenon are in sight.

Stayed for a few nights here on my first visit to Athens. It’s a well air conditioned hotel located on a quiet street only 5 mins walk from bars and restaurants, and 10 mins further to the Acropolis. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the breakfast perfunctory. The room, if a bit small, was clean and comfortable.
GGuest UserThis is an extremely nice hotel situated in a perfect location. Our stay and review are based on a Superior room You would be hard pressed to find an Athens hotel in a better location. You are right in the middle of all the action with shops and restaurants nearby. You are spoilt for choice. Although in a busy area we found the excellent double- glazed doors/windows kept any noises out and it was not an issue at all. Our Superior room came with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities although that is not listed on their website. It may be worth e-mailing them if this is important to you. There was air-con but in March there was no need to make use of it so we cannot comment on its efficiency. The toilet/bathroom came with those tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash which we refuse to use on environmental grounds so we brought our own and used that. There was a sign saying that if the used towels were hung up then it was assumed that we were happy to reuse them. The cleaners replaced them daily regardless. The rooms were kept very clean. This hotel has much going for it. We grabbed a deal here at a very attractive price which included breakfast. The breakfast arrangements were in a fairly small area but we felt that a good selection was provided considering the space limitations. Plenty of fresh vegetable choices and delicious too. The Tomatoes and Cucumber just tasted so much better than we are used to. Cereals, bread, cakes, fruit and coffee from a machine. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning and didn’t grow tired of it. Minor gripes (being very picky). The over the bath shower was a mini battle in so much that it was prone to shoot water out onto the floor if you weren’t being careful. It could have been better but all we had to do was to adjust our showering habits and all was ok in the end. Our room had a balcony facing out to the street below. It would have been nice for a couple of chairs out there rather than just a large pot plant and the air-con unit for company. I did notice that no other balconies on other building had chairs out so perhaps that is just the Athens way. We had a Fridge in our room. Very welcome. A very close mini supermarket was the cheapest place we could find to buy water. E0.39 for 1.5 litres as I recall. We loved this hotel. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. I can’t remember all of their names but Irena and Eva come to mind. They helped make our stay wonderful. It had a curiously homely feel about the place. March time was a great time of the year as it was a pleasant day time temperature with it getting a bit chilly in the evenings. You could still dine outdoors but with a patio heater nearby. We loved Athens and have decided to return next March with the flights already booked. We will stay at the Plaka Hotel again. 5 stars from us
GGuest UserThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well.
The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor.
The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff.
The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning.
The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.
RRachanaFirst of all, the hotel staff are so nice incl. receptionists, breakfast lady, room attendants, etc. They all smile at you and greet you, very polite and helpful. We also booked 1 triple room for 3 adults but they gave us 2 double rooms with the same price of course although they had to move us to ground floor the 2nd day due to some electrical defaults in one of the rooms as it was newly renovated, which didnt bother us at all. We happily moved. Also free water bottles in the fridge included, all the necessary amenities were there, no kettle to boil water or cups for hot drinks were provided in the room but if you ask them, hot water provided at the hotel reception 24/7 also free tea, coffee and hot water for all guests provided from 3-9pm! Rooms were decent sized with comfy and clean beds, daily room service, breakfast was good and plenty and included in the room price, so cant complain! More hot food options would have been nice but it was continental which still was adequate. 5/5 stars
朱朱This hotel is really good, not rare in Europe! The hotel is located at the end of the Zeus Temple, at the end of the food street. Walking to the Acropolis and Syntagma Square are 1 km away. The way to the Acropolis is full of restaurants and shops, very convenient. The hotel's facilities are complete with slippers, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shaving foam and lotion. Just bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. A kettle and tea bags are provided, and a small fridge can store the food you buy. The decoration of the hotel is also very delicate and clean, and the service is very good. The overall feeling is that there are four-star standards in China. It is really rare in Europe! It’s hoping to write a lot of useful information for my friends, because I also like the travellers who leave detailed and true comments.
GGuest UserMy stay was 10/10 The hotel is very well maintained, everything is super clean. The hotel is perfect is you come to Athens as a tourist - all major cites are walking distance. The lady on reception (I forgot her name, sorry) with short hair was very helpful, I followed her recommendations and my first day in Athens was ideal. Special thanks to Ludmila - she is a real asset to the company; she is a bighearted lady who made me feel very welcoming my entire stay. Thank you team ❤️

GGuest UserVery good experience! The front desk is friendly. She upgraded me to a double bed, even though I live alone. There's a bar and jacuzzi on the roof.

KK_tabiThe location was good as it was close to the Parthenon and within walking distance to the nearest station, but the view from the room was so close to the building next door that I couldn't see the night view. That was the only disappointing part. It was great to be able to see the Parthenon and the night view from the rooftop.
The room was clean and I stayed there for two days, and I was happy that they cleaned the room between days.
He also spoke English, so he was kind enough to call me a taxi.
SShobyThat hotel can easily be the best hotel in the area if they paid more attention to the renovation issue.. The place is well located and nice old classic design..
Staff are very helpful and breakfast was ok too..
They can't be blamed about few homeless people around as it's like that everywhere around that area.
