The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and by contacting our Ctrip concierge, we were fortunate enough to receive a free upgrade to a better room. The view from the window was fantastic, directly overlooking the Florence Cathedral. The hotel's location is also exceptionally convenient; Piazza del Duomo is downstairs, and Piazza della Signoria is just a few minutes' walk away, making it close to all the major attractions. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay and I highly recommend it!

We walked directly from the train station to the hotel, and it wasn't far at all. The hotel is very close to the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), to the point where you can see it as soon as you step outside. The surrounding area is very convenient, with supermarkets and plenty of restaurants. You need to use a key card to enter the hotel lobby, and the area feels quite safe. Florence isn't a very large city, so most major attractions are within walking distance. The downside is that the room was a bit small; we could only keep our suitcase by the door and couldn't leave it fully open. Breakfast was pretty standard: bread, bacon, yogurt, milk, and juice.

Guest UserFacilities: The room was quite spacious, with a kettle, coffee machine, and fridge. They provided 2 complimentary bottles of water, and the TV was a smart TV that supported screen mirroring.
Cleanliness: It was very clean. As long as you don't put the 'do not disturb' sign on your door, they'll clean your room automatically every day.
Environment: It's a 15-minute walk from the train station, and a 10-minute walk to the bus stop which goes directly to Piazzale Michelangelo, saving you the effort of climbing hills. There's also a tram stop right outside the hotel. The hotel is very large with many, many rooms, and it seems to attract a lot of young people, so it can get quite noisy late at night. The soundproofing is decent, but if you're a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you.
Service: You can store your luggage for free, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was my second stay here. The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to the Duomo. The room size is decent, and the staff are all very enthusiastic, except for one Caucasian girl in the breakfast restaurant. Both times I stayed for three nights, and both times she had a sour face. All the other servers were great. I'm not sure if she treats Chinese people this way or if she's just unhappy with her job, but she constantly has a poker face, looking utterly miserable while serving guests.

The location is fantastic, right by the train station. Just be aware it's tucked away in a courtyard, so keep an eye out for the entrance. Service was excellent; they were incredibly helpful with our luggage, even bringing it directly to our room. Our suite was wonderful. Despite its historical character, it was exceptionally well-maintained, offering a genuine feel of a grand European family home. A good selection of snacks and drinks were provided. The bathtub was a welcome amenity, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Big plus! Our room was named 'Mona Lisa'.

Anonymous UserThe hotel's overall environment is excellent, and the location is superb. There's a bus stop right outside, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the central train station, or two bus stops away, which is incredibly convenient. The staff are attentive and enthusiastic. The rooftop offers fantastic panoramic city views. The room size is quite small, and the price is relatively high.

The decor is like a guesthouse from the 1990s, but the price is like a five-star hotel. The location is excellent, behind the Bargello Museum, and within a 10-minute walk of any attraction. However, it's very old and shabby, and the shampoo and conditioner are terrible.

The apartment is clean and equipped with everything you need. The bed is comfortable, the room is spacious. The check-in instructions were clear.
The noise from the street was disturbing. Even with the window closed, you can hear the sound of every passing tram. It is no coincidence that earplugs were prepared, although they cannot improve the vibration caused by the passing tram much.
And a personal note. In my previous booking, at other accommodations, the host's communication - despite the fact that there is no personal meeting - usually includes some kindness and personal attention. This was not the case here, although it would have been nice.

tung tung shamDuring my recent trip to Florence, I had the pleasure of staying at the Anglo American Hotel. Overall, my experience at this hotel was delightful, and I would gladly recommend it to fellow travelers.
First and foremost, the location of the Anglo American Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Florence, it offers easy access to the city's major attractions, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery. The hotel's central location made it convenient for me to explore the city on foot and truly immerse myself in its rich history and culture.
The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The interior is tastefully decorated, combining classic elements with modern touches. The common areas, such as the lobby and lounge, are inviting and provide a comfortable space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The staff at the Anglo American Hotel deserves special praise. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.
My room at the hotel was spacious and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the room amenities, including a flat-screen TV and minibar, met my expectations. The cleanliness and tidiness of the room were maintained throughout my stay, thanks to the diligent housekeeping staff.
While the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant, it does offer a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast spread was varied and catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. I particularly enjoyed the freshly baked pastries and the selection of local cheeses and cured meats.
One minor drawback was the absence of a fitness center or spa facilities within the hotel. However, the staff was helpful in providing information about nearby fitness centers and wellness options, ensuring that guests have access to these amenities if desired.
In summary, my stay at the Anglo American Hotel Florence was a delightful experience. The prime location, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations contributed to a memorable visit to this beautiful city. While the absence of certain amenities was a minor drawback, it did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the hotel. I would recommend the Anglo American Hotel to travelers seeking a centrally located, well-appointed hotel with a charming ambiance in Florence.
