A Hidden Gem in Tuscany – Truly Special We absolutely loved our stay at I Parigi Corbinelli Residenze. This place is truly something special. The residence itself is a charming historic property that has been passed down through generations since the 1500s, and you can feel that beautiful sense of heritage the moment you arrive. The entire compound is incredibly gorgeous, peaceful, and full of character — it feels like a private Tuscan retreat. We arrived later than the official check-in time, but the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. He even called his son to come and help check us in despite the late hour. That level of hospitality really touched us. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The hot water was excellent, the heating system worked perfectly, and we had a beautiful terrace to enjoy the surroundings. Everything felt cozy yet elegant. One of the highlights is the garden and breakfast area. Breakfast is simple but perfect — everything you need for a wonderful start to the day, and enjoying it while looking out over the peaceful garden made the morning feel magical. Another big plus is the very safe parking inside the property, which gave us great peace of mind while traveling. Honestly, the value for money here is incredible. The price they charge is almost underrated for such a beautiful place — it truly deserves more recognition. We also loved that there is a resident dog who played with our dog, which made the stay even more special for us. If our itinerary hadn’t been so packed, we would absolutely have stayed another night. This place is the perfect Tuscan getaway, and we will definitely return next time we are in the area. However, upon arrival I was assigned a room on the first floor facing a dark, rundown alley—nothing like the images. The bathroom also didn’t match the photos: it was much smaller, with virtually no counter space. When I raised this with the hotel, I was told I hadn’t booked a “Premium room with view.” At the time of booking, my only options were: a cheaper “Deluxe,” a more expensive “Premium,” and a “Suite.” As a guest, I relied on the photos shown for the Premium category, which all featured a view. The mismatch felt misleading. I asked about changing rooms, but was told the hotel was fully booked and that they had already given me a “larger” room of 20 m². The stated size range for the Premium room is 18–23 m², so this didn’t resolve the core issue—the lack of the view shown in the photos. After persistent requests, I was offered a second-floor room in another building without an elevator. That room had a larger bathroom but a smaller bedroom, and the window opened directly onto exhaust vents. It wasn’t a viable alternative. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for a five-star property. While staff were polite in manner, the room assignment and photo discrepancy felt misleading, and there was no practical solution offered despite the hotel being aware of the issue. To add to the frustration, I later noticed my luggage had been dented. In summary: the Premium room I received did not match the advertised images—especially the view and bathroom—and the lack of clear labeling (e.g., “with view” vs. “no view”) led to unmet expectations. I hope the hotel updates its listings to accurately reflect room types and views so future guests can book with confidence.

The amenities were replenished daily, which was great because I could take them with me and use them at the next hotel! The bathroom was made of marble!

Great Hotel. Excellent location and accessible to most attractions. Pleasant check-in and can state that all staff were extremely nice and helpful. Amazing room provided (complementary upgrade). Kitchenette with sitting area, large bedroom with comfortable bed and pillows. Large bathroom with a massive spa bath. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets. Breakfast Experience The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right. The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. One Minor Issue The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

This hotel's rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean! They provide a wide array of disposable amenities, including slippers and body lotion, which is quite rare for European hotels. Our room even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool downstairs and the surrounding trees. While breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, the variety was impressive, even featuring honey with a honeycomb. The front desk offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful. A thoughtful touch was the free long-handled umbrellas available for guests, especially since it happened to be raining during our stay. The only real downside is that, despite being close to Florence train station in a straight line, the walk from the station to the hotel is actually quite long. Plus, exiting the Florence station involves going down a set of stairs, which is very inconvenient with large luggage. This made the walk to the hotel feel even longer, especially with intersections where poor signal made maps unclear and it was easy to get lost. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel. The internal environment is very well-maintained, and the front desk staff are patient and polite. If I have the chance to visit Florence again, I would definitely choose this hotel. The price is truly excellent value for money.

The surroundings are really nice, and there's an outdoor pool. Even though it closed early due to the off-season and I didn't get to swim, the weather was absolutely perfect during those days, adding a filter to everything. It's a bit far from the attractions, and the bus station was very busy at check-out time. The tent got a little cold at night, but you can use the AC for heating, so it was fine. It might be more comfortable to visit in the summer, as winter is just too cold.

Excellent location, excellent treatment and service by all the staff, especially by the receptionist who is there in the mornings and who knows how to speak Spanish. Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down. Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and attentive. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests I had, and their local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable in helping me navigate the city and discover hidden gems.
